"And the racers that have someone managing things like that full time pay them as full time employees. But my capabilities are worth more than the credits that job would bring in," Nimbo replies. "Slicing brings in far more credits."

"Well, I suppose there is no such thing as a statistical impossibility when dealing with real variables rather than hypothetical ones," Nimbo replied with a shrug. "We'll see if any decide to show up here."

Nimbo simply listens, learning more about the Soleene and Deonis. Having a better insight into the motivations of people certainly helped him understand why they did the things they did.

"Statistically that doesn't make a great deal of sense. If they were not entirely wiped out that suggests a majority were. With a minority of survivors from a group that, from context, was not large in number their presence would be absolutely minimal in any given area. With the size of the galaxy, ...

"Nothing that isn't already public knowledge, with some of it simply from my perspective. There are likely others that have more in depth information. I imagine that crews and racers regularly slice each other's data to better understand their setups and tactics," Nimbo replies with a shrug.

"Not so troubling to me. They don't seem to mess with anyone really, as far as I can tell."

"Well, you are both talking about them in past tense so I suspect it doesn't matter too much if they were helpful or not. And I've got no real reason to discuss them either."

"I don't have any particular favorites. I tend to be more focused on lap times, racing lines and speeder specifications. I like recording the data for myself to build performance models as a hobby," he replies. "Trying to extrapolate engine tuning details and such."

"Just another group of people in charge then?"

"I'm sure it takes a lot of expertise and time to maintain a speeder at peak performance. I've only ever done minor repairs for folks to earn a few credits. But I noticed that some of the racers use cybernetic enhancements to improve their own performance. You don't do so?"

"I am aware that my appearance is not entirely accurate. It is something that will be improved in time, much like my breathing and itching subroutines. "I've been around here for years, but you only started watching after I got my synthskin coating. It must have really caught your eye," Nimbo says with a smile.

"I don't know. They are flesh in a metal shell, I'm metal in a flesh shell. They're quiet, I like talking. We seem like total opposites and, supposedly, opposites attract. We'd probably get along great," Nimbo says with a chuckle. A surprisingly accurate chuckle.

"I've seen them around, but we've never talked. Spends most of their time watching people as far as I can tell. I kind of wonder if they are just appreciating my synthskin job from afar?" he replies with a smile towards Deonis.

"I am Nimbo Toda," he says with a smile. "The imperials keep pretty tight control of their data, so I don't know what they have. But they seem mostly uninterested in the middle and lower city. Probably don't have too much on the lower income locals."

"Yes. It was what I was reprogrammed for. I'm pretty good at it," he says with a nod. "Got built-in hardware and both offensive and defensive protocols."
