Toward the end of the party, when it trickled out into recesses, Qar finally expected to have the opportunity to talk with someone he had spied to be in attendance. He could bet to have been seen too, and so he waited, sipping something, wearing his dashing suit comfortably.

Coming up behind him like she did the first time they came to this place together, though the situation was otherwise different, Iris found her way onto his arm and looking out over the rest of the attendee's. Looking, measuring their worth, all happening in the moments she spared for it before looking to Qar properly.

"So you're in?" she asks, business manner.

[Qar Offee]

He was wiser than the last time not to over-read her quirks, so all he did for a greeting was a small smile.

"Haven't I done my part?" He asked without too much rhetorical flare, but neither was the question carrying any doubt about his achievement. There hadn't been any actual doubt in the beginning.

[Iris]

"I heard about the race- but you've yet to confirm you followed through on joining their team. A simple enough affair of a yes or no would suffice than all this coyness darling," she looks to him with a brief smile. Laying her other hand over his wrist, "Sooner we deal with business the sooner we can move on with the night, hmm?" she leans in a little.

"Though, it is getting rather late..."

"A bit impatient, I see. Something in particular making you so?" He looked at her curiously. "But sure, once they figured they could get the bragging rights for my win this way, it wasn't difficult."

[Iris]

"Careful what words you throw around Qar, especially in public," she gives him a brief smile but a commanding glare. Patting his hand as she looks around the crowd. "Your position will do well then. We'll have more instructions soon but for now.. relax, hmm?" she looks up to him and smiles. A little taller than she is she continues to look for a moment, "Lean closer, darling."

He obliged; more out of a sense of choreography their meetings were endowed with than genuine expectation; to build momentum for the latter she'd have to be more enticing and genuine than controlling. Her behaviour appeared to him to be that of a dancer who thinks that imposing all moves on the partner and the music amounts to a successful dance. Perhaps it wasn't the place for anything else. Perhaps she wasn't the person for anything else. He would find out eventually. "Relax? So I am the tense one now, himm?" He joked softly, giving her a half-smile and a bad boy's look.

[Iris]

Measuring him a moment she leans forward and pats him on the shoulder with a freed hand, "Nevermind," she says softly before slipping away. Releasing her hold on his arm she walks a step away and looks to him, "Just a suggestion on what to do with your time, darling. Grab some drinks, find a pretty woman, enjoy your nights before we call on you again."

"And yet there was something else on your mind, Iris, wasn't it?" He titled his head. "And what if I am not interested in easy distractions? You should probably know that I'm not by now." He closed the distance between them and reached out for her hand. "I live for moments that have meaning, not for the banal blur. If you're in any way similar, we could try to make something memorable out of this evening together, not just relax." His offer was actually low on suggestiveness, more like a genuine attempt to cut through possible misunderstandings and lay a genuine intent bare. "It could prove interesting to give each other that chance rather than walk away from it, don't you think?"

[Iris]

She allowed him, for the moment, to take her hand as she measures him carefully, "You're remarkably wordy when you want to be," she chuckles, shaking her head slightly, "I had a mind for something, you're right. Yet, everything in you have shown me so far is that you do not know yet how to behave at all properly," she tilts her head.

"Do you want to learn how to behave, Qar?" she asks, raising her shoulders a little. Her lips a thin line as she measures him with a intensity to her focus.

"I guess I can trust you this one time that what you have in mind is not against my nature." He said after a brief pause, choosing not to comment on the issue of wordiness. To know her game he'd actually have to play it.

[Iris]

Glancing to the side she beckoned a suit over, them holding her bag. With it opened for her she dug around inside and pulled out a small key, an ornate looking thing for one of the swankier hotels in the Upper City. Holding up in front of him she said, "If you don't know where this goes to, ask around and you'll learn soon enough. We work for the better things, hmm?" she smiles.

Offering it over, "You will have to make your choice, Qar. Come to me if you want to learn. I will teach you."

Despite his better judgement, he couldn't help being intrigued. He took the key, looking into her eyes for some insight into the intent this key represented. This was not a place to ask for any details. Not that he expected her to give them anyway, That, he supposed, was part of the whole deal.

"Very well, I'll think about it. Thanks for this... interesting offer."

[Iris]

"See you soon.." she says, a brief smile as she slips away and walks with the suit holding her things.
