Crashing a penthouse suite for her birthday was the best idea she'd had in a long time. And fortunately for the owner, she was a relatively good houseguest. She'd made sure that none of the owners were even on the planet, didn't intend on leaving too big of a mess, and wasn't going to eat or drink anything that looked too expensive. Really, it'd be like if a stray cat broke into house and raided the pantry.

The more questionable decision was pecking Rezzie on the lips. They'd been traveling together, making good of the whole "figuring out what to do with themselves in this massive galaxy" while also "beating up Imperials when the timing works."

Varina scooted away to her side of the couch and cleaned her mouth with her "special cocktail" (nothing more than some whiskey and soda). Her cheeks were rather pink when she asked, "So, uh, what planet do you want to hit up next?"

Making use of richer peoples property was an idea Rezzie was on board with from the start. Having a little disdain for the class of people that came out over the interactions but she was as respectful for the places as Varina was, perhaps to the point of matching her. A couple times she suggested taking something more expensive, really enjoying themselves, but always let those suggests fall away as she followed to Varina's unintended guidance. Good times were had, were being had, and would be had and for the most part that seemed to keep Rezzie more than happy.

Following the peck on the lips Rezzie sat there motionless, hand still a little raised but whatever she was doing with it had been forgotten. Cheeks a deeper shade of blue, almost purple than they had been moments prior. Looking forward, best Varina could tell, she starts "I-" stammers, "Uhm.. huh?" and looks to Varina dumbfounded.

In the end, it was hard for Varina to really know how much the owners actually deserved having their place trashed. It seemed better to be safe than sorry. Besides, this was her time to turn away from delinquency. Well, more than before.

Varina bought more time by keeping the glass at her lips. When prepared, she repeated, "Like which planet do we go to next? Like, uh, maybe we should take down some sort of spice smuggling ring? Or are Imperials still the ones to, like, go after?"

"O-oh.. right.." she glances away, over the room a moment. Hands falling to her lap she fiddles with her index finger idly. "Uh- I'm not sure? I mean, there's always an Imperial place to hit or rob or.. whatever, but breaking up a spice smuggling ring would be pretty cool. I-" she shakes her head, laughing awkwardly. Taking her own drink back into hand she sips from it.

"Right- so, I think there's a semi-famous, at least locally Pyke ring nearby?" she says, looking to Varina but not quite fully as the blush returns a little to her cheeks. "Or- I heard something about it in that last cantina we swept through quick. Couple ithorians were talking about it. Ithorians are a little weird right? Like.." she puts her hands on either side of her face, "side mouths and everything."

"I mean, Imperials are like everywhere. It'd be harder not to hit one of their places to be honest," she said. Although not really that funny, she laughed anyways.

"The Pykes, huh? Well, they're kind of bad." On the topic of Ithorians, she did think about them kissing. How did that even work with side mouths? Could they kiss two different Ithorians at the same time? Did they ever form some weird type of kissing circle?

And so, she looked a bit more disturbed than embarrassed. "Bleh, yeah, they're pretty weird."

"Yea..- and yea, hear Pykes are some of the wor-" she looks to Varina, eyes narrowing on her a little. Rezzie didn't always narrow her eyes like that but she's learned well enough how to emote well to give humans that easier time. Half turning on the couch she leans in a little. Rezzie brought both hands up to either side, to each with an index pointed skyward and her palms facing Varina.

Propping up her shoulders, "Did- did you just kiss me?" she asks, like a mallet.

"No?" Varina sighed. What was she going to do? Gaslight Rezzie into thinking she'd imagine the whole thing? She might have had some jerk tendencies but she wasn't that bad. "I mean, I wasn't serious about it. Just figured I needed to kiss someone at least once as an eighteen-year old."

Wait. That came out all wrong. It was probably the fault of those damn, creepy eyes. Other parts of her were cute though... Damn. She looked around the suite for something, anything, to settle her nerves. Too bad the owners loved their stupid couple pictures.

"Uh, can we start tonight over?"

"Uh-.. o-okay," she says, stammering out a little as she looks to Varina blankly a moment. Hands down to her sides she's propped up a little by the holds there, and the flush to her cheeks doesn't seem to go away but her eyes do as she glances down.

With a slow rise and quick fall of her chest she gets up. Walking away from the couch she steps down the couple obnoxious steps the room had in the living space into a small foyer of sorts with a carpet instead of a marble floor. Down by the armchair with a table beside it, or more importantly where Rezzie had left her blasters.

With them both in hand she looks out toward the window, looking at herself- drawing the blaster on herself "Bang."

"You think I could manage those pistol draws like they show in the movies?" she asks, not looking over her shoulder.

Rezzie walking away, while at first totally awkward, opened up an opportunity. While she was busy doing whatever she was doing, Varina grabbed her comlink. She shook her head at her username (definitely needed to be replaced at some point) and messaged the only person she could think of on MandoBook or whatever it was actually called: Raven.

"Huh?" she asked, finally looking up from her device. "Oh, yeah, I've been trying to get better at that myself." She nearly tripped down the steps before reaching the pistols. Well, since she already didn't care about personal space, she might as well practice with one of Rezzie's blasters. "I do it like... like, ah, I'm not used to yours."

Looking to Varina joining her she blanks for a brief moment, and watches her grabbing the other pistol. Hands on her holster, she looks back down and remembers she was strapping it to her right leg. Looking then quickly to Varina, and the other holster, "Uh- if you wanna practice you can use that one," she points with her head.

"Straps a little funky but.. if you fiddle with it you can probably get it," she said, working on getting her own holster attached and secured against herself.

"Oh, yeah, I can see that. Maybe the straps are part of why it's, like, awkward." She patted her comlink again, praying for a response.

At the very least, a left-handed holster was perfect for her gun-arm. "I can buy you a new one, you know." Buy? Since when did she buy things? "Wait, are you hoping to be able to draw two at once?"

A nod, "Yea," with the holster on she throws the blaster in with a quick motion. Readying her hand by the side of it, "Like in those old flicks, ya know? Ones with the smugglers in the outer rim," she draws the blaster with a quick flourish of her wrist aiming it at the window, "Bam bam," she smirks, throwing the blaster back into it's holster.

Looking over a shoulder to Varina, "But like.. with both!" she mimes the motion with both hands as if the first demonstration wouldn't be enough.

"Oh huh. That's right, that's pretty good." Instead of drawing out a pistol, she took out her comlink to read:

Since when did Varina ever say sorry for anything? She put it away, glancing back at the Chiss and her damn creepy eyes. Ah! "Sorry," she said. "For... Uh, taking up your other blaster then. Here."

She futzed with the holster. Definitely something that needed to be replaced. Like her feelings? How was she supposed to mean it? Did she now?

"There." Varina held the holster and blaster out with one hand, far away from her.

Turning to Varina she half raised her hand for the holster and blaster, looking to her suspiciously for a moment, "But uh- I mean it's find if you wanna practice with it too, ya know.." she says, a slight awkward smile as she brushes the back of her neck with her other hand. First one just half awkwardly resting in that space between Varina's outstretched one and herself.

"I'm not bothered by it.." she says, giving a little shrug.

"No, no, it's fine. I like watching you to it anyways." A genuine compliment, rare from this prickly human. She stepped forward and started prodding Rezzie with the holster, a non-verbal cue to take the thing.

Her cheeks started burning hot again. "Oh, and, sorry. For, uh, the thing I said earlier."

With the prod she has that little shake of her head, the realization hitting her that she hadn't finished the action. That simple 'oh right' paying across her expression if not her eyes. An awkward smile, she takes the holster with blaster into hand fingers brushing underneath in the action.

"Oh- hey.. uh.. nothing to be sorry about right?" she says, giving a half-smile that lacked commitment to even the ruse of it. Eyes glancing away as she shifts a little uncertain.

Varina bit her lip. Okay, this is not going as planned. Wait, did I even have a plan?! She glanced at the pistols and then back to Rezzie. Ah, what the heck? She'd charged into battle how many times before this?

Giving any sort of prior warning wasn't on her mind. She reached out to grab both of Rezzie's shoulders and leaned in for another peck!

Glanced away as hse was Rezzie looks back up toward Varina as she feels the hands touch her shoulders, looking up with that somewhat muted expression to her as suddenly Varina came in very close and kissed her again. Eyes going wide, the red orbs they were, her brows raised in surprise as she just freezes up a moment.

Falling back a step onto her foot for support she stares at Varina in the wake of it for maybe ten seconds before, cheeks a deep purplish color to mix with the blue, "So- d-did that one happen? I'm.. really confused," she says, and then chuckles as awkwardly as she ever had.

The delinquent licked her lips a couple times. Which liquor was she tasting now? "Uh, yeah, that one happened," she said, kicking the fibers of the carpet. Wasn't as satisfying as kicking up dirt. "That was... alright."

And with that, Varina walked back up the steps to the couch. She flopped onto it, hoping to be enveloped by it, but rich people sure loved their "aesthetics" over practicality. "Go ahead and keep practicing. I'm going to drink a bit more."

Rezzie held stunned for a moment but as Varina started walking away she almost near tossed the blaster and holster aside, "W-wait wait wait," she says quickly thinking to try and grab for Varina's wrist but she'd already managed to get up the stairs. Looking between Varina and her blaster she focuses on Varina and climbs up after her. Standing in front of the couch, one hand on the blaster strapped to her side and the other on her hip as she focuses in.

"W-wait so.. do you like, like me or not? I-" she starts to say something more but cuts herself off, leaving the question as it stands.
