Finally, A Sense of True Belonging (SCaT)
Posted: Fri Jun 18, 2021 5:00 am
by The SCaT Droid
(Involves J Richo Toboga, Solark Tan, Torr Po, and Zimrzala Skalirz)
After having proven himself as a capable warrior and taking time to dig deep into why these tenets are important, SCaT is ready for his Gai Bal Manda. He has worked on his armor during the offtime for months, it even gives him enough strength to be back to the full mobility he had in his youth.

When he came to Bellionas to honor a friends debt, J-Richo of clan Toboga would have expected he would leave with two mandalorian brothers: For a long time he had searched for his clan and now one was being forged here and now.
A family, an heritage and a cause...that would not be his alone.
''Are you ready, brother?'' the mando asked as he joined him ''Will you keep Scat as your name?''

Sol is there to welcome in a new brother, flashing the droid a Thumbs Up as he prepares himself.
It's fitting. I invited him to mine, and now I have been invited in turn

"I am ready, but I will change my name. SCaT is a fake droid designation, but it still is one to those who know. I would like to be called Chance from now on."

The former BX nods with a sense of gravity
''Do you wish to keep the common translation or do you wish the Mando'a one? The closest word would be jate'kara for luck''

He takes a few seconds to mentally tie the word to his identity, making sure it was the right one. "Yes, that would be a better name. Can't believe I overlooked that in my databanks."

Up to you

Torr beams from the sidelines. To him it's a great honor to witness the rebirth of an individual. He privately wonders what Zim's thoughts are on the Mando'a religion, considering her 'light-sideish' tendencies.

(Going to go ahead and continue without Zim)
He proceeds to take out his new helmet, orange and purple with black trim and with the iconic T shape, and presents it to the clan leader. "Just as my brother before me, I made this helmet as proof to my commitment to the Resol'Nare."

"Nice work" Solork whispers, again flashing his sign of approval. He stands a bit straighter, happy to be there for his brother-to-be.

Richo took the helmet and scrutinized the color patterns
''A good choice of colors my friend...they fit you quite well.''
He observed the small assembly
''Shall we begin?''

He stands upright, taking this next part with all the gravitas it deserves. " tsikala shekamir".
(Should be ready to follow?)

''Very well, let's begin'' He turns to the witnesses and speaks the introduction
''I welcome both of you to the Gai Bal Man. Just like so many customs of the mando'ade the ritual of adoption is simple and short but bears great meaning both to the adopted and the adoptee. Jate'kara chose both of you to act as witnesses to this event and thus I hope you understand the honor and respect he gives you.''
He then turned towards Jate in a nearly military fashion before removing his helmet to look at him face to face
''Ba'jur, beskar'gam, Ara'nov, aliit, Mando'a bal Mand'alor, an vencuyan mhi...These are the tenets of the Resol'nare, the essence of the mando'ade. Are you willing to live by them and honor them?''

Torr beams again at Jate'kara, a proud moment indeed. He retains his respectful silence.

"I solemnly swear to follow the tenets of the Resol'nare." With these words, SCaT is no more, Jate'kara takes his place. From now on, there are many sentients that needs his help, and so he shall give it in due time.

J-Richo hands the helmet back to Jate'kara before finalizing the ritual
''Bid ni J-Richo Toboga kyr'tayl gai sa'ad Jate'kara Toboga''
He extends a hand towards him
''Welcome, brother''

Solork walks up confidently to join them placing an arm on each shoulder pauldron.
"Does that make me not the youngest anymore?" He grins beneath the mask. "You did fine work on your armor brother"

Torr steps forward, "Jate'kara, a most auspicious name indeed. I'm honored to be among the first to greet you, and soon to be the first to raise a glass in your name." He chuckles and claps him on the shoulder.

Putting his helmet on, making sure it is secure, and taking a look at all the people who are approaching him for an embrace, Jate'kara simply says "thank you, everyone. I wouldn't be here right now if it weren't for you guys."
