Kamda-Centric Timeline:
22 BBY:
Opening of the Clone Wars event that grabbed the attention of the galaxy. Though not formally a member of the Republic at the time they offered the minimal amount of support they could to the Republic in the form of necessary trade.
21 BBY:
Kamda's effort to aid the Republic against the CIS forces proves dangerous, but their location is remote. Small scouting parties are sent out by the CIS forces to determine a better course of action than diverting forces from their other campaigns.
20 BBY:
Separatist forces begin to gather in greater numbers in the southern desert, a base has secretly been constructed and in an effort to not drag too many resources from the other battles the force is grown out over time in an effort to destabilize the region. Kamda security holds their own but the drain of resources does ultimately affect what they are able to offer the Republic.
19 BBY:
With both sides becoming more desperate a cruiser is dispatched by both CIS and Republic forces each to the planet of Kamda. A battle is waged from the mountains and into the desert. Clone troopers eventually dismantle the base of operations of the CIS forces with the aid of their Jedi general and her padawan.
Order 66:
In a last meeting with the Jedi master, Deera gained an understanding with the Jedi. Leaving the people of Kamda to believe that the Republic would return their forces to the fight and leave Kamda to govern itself. However, the Jedi was never heard from again and they were informed by the Clone commander that Kamda was now fully under the jurisdiction of the new Galactic Empire.
18 BBY:
Kamda denizens grow in their discontentment under their new imperial masters feeling they have been cheated out of their freedom. However, as the Clone army yet had boots on the ground Deera knew that Kamda could not risk declaring war on the Empire. They would have been crushed immediately. Thus, the next year was tense under the watchful gaze of the elite clone troopers.
17 BBY:
It had taken some time, due to their remote location, but the clones were being sent elsewhere and a new division of Stormtroopers were sent to replace them. This development lead to the building of a permanent garrison on the planet.
Many of the younger generation of Kamda residents began to believe that the stormtroopers put in place by the Empire were far less effective than their clone predecessors. In a surge of confidence they began rebelling against the Empire almost immediately in quick strikes and general rebel activity. A small group, known as Kamda's Angels, were central in this movement and reported to have been lead by a small tight group of friends around Deera's son.
16 BBY:
Caught in an ambush by Imperial forces the vast majority of the growing resistance on Kamda, and most notably Kamda's Angels, were suddenly snuffed out, their flame extinguished. Many believed they were betrayed by one of Kamda's own and the quick rise of a moderately wealthy local business-man to an Imperial governorship of the planet drew their accusations. Deera, upon the discovery by the Empire that her son was one of the rebels, was forced to step down despite her ardent attempts to calm her people's temper against the Empire and gave way for Viktor Talcik to take her place. Though he claimed that he had no hand in it, that he publicly stated his belief in the security the Empire brings to Kamda bought him no favors.
15 BBY - 9 BBY:
An Imperial garrison was installed on Kamda, reinforced in a greater number for the first few years to guard their construction projects but this number declined over the years. For the first years things were tense but as the Imperial garrison drifted from the public mind of its denizens, and became little more than an occasional patrol from outside of their garrison, the people tried to forget most of their woes and settled in for their new normal.
Though the people of Kamda yet craved their independence, the past wars and neglect from the Empire due to their distance from the core allowed for a lesser hold on their planet. This allowed many of those persecuted by the Empire to flee here from the Core worlds and escape. By the current year Kamda has become known as a safe haven for them.
