You don't need to make the scene and can just use the timeslot/roll off-screen.

I'll say yes! Generally I like trying to incorporate the rulesets in the books unless they prove unwieldy.

Just to make sure, are there any rules for who makes the rolls in the heist event? Could one person theoretically roll 10 times? Or does each person need to roll at least once, can't roll twice in a row, anything like that?
