Soleene roamed the Mandalorian Enclave looking for Clay around the camp. She was still dressed in her previous armour, while lugging around her new set. It felt rather surreal to her still, considering that she never thought she would be worthy of her own beskar'gam, especially considering she wasn't born a Mandalorian. However, she would still find that blood meant little around here, it was all about actions and the Code. Still, it felt surreal and she found it eerie to wear it.

Not that she would forgo wearing it now...but it could use some bells and whistles.

"Hey, Clay, are you around here?" She called out.

Claymore was holding a huge hammer over his shoulder with one of his blue set pit crew coveralls and a welders helmet turned up so he can see. He walked up to Soleene, "I'm guessing you've never gone further down the the hall, than the Armory..." He said with a smile. "There are some rooms for forging, a some for rooms more 'delicate' work repairs are done. And, last, but not least, the Forge Master's room." He points back to the big opening to of at end of the hallway.

"Hah, I guess I haven't, you got me there. My toys are typically taken off the shelf and they've served me pretty well so far. But now that I have..." She hefted up a sturdy duffle bag with her beskar'gam. Claymore's understanding of gadgets and things could likely tell that the bag had far more than just her beskar'gam in it, some modules that didn't have a home yet.

"I figured that if I'm doing to do this right, I should do it more than right. I've got some additions or two that I need some help adding to my armour. And I know that you're really good with that stuff. I could really use the help, please." She gave a bob of her head in his direction.

"The shield I use, I made it here. I've gotten a little better since then, but it has served me well too." He starting back to the room his tool kit and new beskar'gam were. "So, want upgrades are you going want? I'm going with Repulson-Assisted Lifting and a Optical Camouflage System, myself."

"It was a pretty neat shield. I'm sure you could probably get a few more battles with it, at least from the looks of it."

Soleene carried her bag and found a place to lay it down for a bit. "Oh, things. Basic needs probably. I was thinking of some hydraulic lifting enhancers for some extra pounds when I'm boxing the lights out of something. And some optical on the visor so that I don't trip facefirst when I go out to these nighttime operations. The last one wasn't going to be the last one."

Clay put the blacksmith hammer down next the workbench and took the wielder's helmet off and set it down. "Ah, ok. So, you're wanting to decide what upgrades to get." He scratches his chin, "Well, what's your spending limits for starters. I know Raven has the strength enhancing system, and that not cheap. 5,500 credits, add 4 mods that are 150 credits each."

Soleene chuckled at that. "Funny you should mention that, I actually did some shopping in my spare time. You know, in between picking up canned fish, instant noodles, and blue milk for the 'fortress' on Bellionas. I was thinking of getting some work done on my own armour for a while but this seems like a better occasion."

Soleene opened her bag and fished around the plates until she retrieved the module parts for the enhancer and optical upgrade that she was talking about earlier. "Would these do? Something tells me these are going to be harder to install and I can hardly put together furniture. Yeah, I can fork for the cost of the mods if need be."

Clay looked down at her module parts she retrieved. "Ah, you sly nexu... I was starting to thinking you hadn't bought them yet." He grabbed a wrench and screwdriver from his tool kit. "Do you want the mods? It is easier to do now. But, some haven't may not give you any benefits." Then he whispered, "The strength system mods will all benefit you..."

"I may not know much around a forge but I'd like to think that I can be prepared at the very least. Also, I figured that I should catch you around here so you can do your thing properly. Better here than the kitchen table at the stronghold, right?" She snickered with a nod.

"I do want the upper edge next time I find myself in a fight, so I think the strength and optical mod will just do for now. Please." She nodded. "I don't think Ketsu was exactly part of their 'B-team' and they're going to be far more capable next time we see them when they're backed into a corner."

He put down his tools. "Alright. We can do that. Basics it is then." He picked up Soleene's armor and put it down on another workbench closest to his. "And, yes, this is a better place for working on these types of things. I did do well putting mods in at the safehouse, but open space to work is good." He then grabbed the strength system to get it in place to begin.

Clay worked though putting everything in stay and secure. "So, what do you think? You want to give it a whirl now?"

"I have no doubt that you had to make due back on Bellionas. It would have been lousy if you couldn't do your thing just because you didn't have your forge here. I do kind of wonder how much of a headache it would be for the next tenant once we leave the safehouse..." She shook her head.

Soleene quickly remembered something. "And, hey! You participated in that race too. Where did you get that ride? You might have to tell me about that later."

When Clay got to work, she got out of his way to watch him ply his trade. She was admittedly curious, even if she didn't share the same hobby.

"It looks very solid to me...Thank you." She said with a few nods after he was done, sounding very much impressed. "Yeah, let's give it a whirl!"

With that, she got to trading armour bits on her, assuming that the upgrade was mostly attached to the arm and leg parts of the Mandalorian armour.

While Clay put the welder's mask on to give Soleene some privacy while she changed armor pieces. (Welder's masks you can't see anything until a very high temperature.) "Yeah, I just bought it for the race. Its an Aratech 74-Z, and I call she Oksana. 3,000 credits, but I just like the color she is. At least I did well with the guns it has. I prefer swoop bikes, myself. But, I can kill myself just fine on the speeder bike." He laughed at that. "Oh, and you're welcome."

"Just for the race? Pretty good effort on a first run. It sounds like a steal at 3,000 credits! I'm pretty sure if you've had enough prep time, you could have given those other racers a tough time and taken out more than just a few gonks," she said as she was putting on her armour.

After she donned her armour with the upgrades. She moved her arms a bit and looked down at herself. "Definitely some more power in the moments, although there's this slight lag delay. Don't think it's anything on your end though, might I just need to be a tad more forceful with my moments to compensate so that the armour knows what I'm doing..." She murmured before taking a few steps forward.

Clay flipped the mask up. "Well we weren't on Bellionas to race, but I can't help myself. I'm not great pilot, but I do enjoy working on racers of all kinds. But, my favorite is working on podracers in my time in Hutt space." He said thoughtfully of good times.

He looks at she movements. "Hum, well, I can do a calibration with your moves, if you want me to. I have my slicer gear here. It wouldn't take long. I would feel naked without my slicer gear... And, my tool kit..." He said with a sheepish grin. "Or, I can start in on the other upgrade you brought."

"I'm sure would have liked getting more time to work on your racer too. Hey, maybe you can poke one of those other racers at the event. Maybe they'll be nice enough and let you tinker on their vehicle. Shouldn't that give you an opportunity to get a leg up on your work?" She offered curiously.

"Hm, maybe we should get some of the hard stuff out of the way first?" She said as she reached for her new helmet and the optical parts, handing them to Clay. "I could get more practice walking and moving while you're doing your thing."

Clay put Soleene's helmet and optical parts on the workbench. He got a soldering iron out with a tub of flux. "Yeah, I could talk to them, or I could tick out my own ride too." He turned the iron on to warm up.

"I will get it work on your helmet then." He worked diligently, but seeing Soleene working out the intricacies of her new armor was maybe too distracting for him. "Ok, well I'm going to try one much time. It's an honor think with me... Yes, I'm weird, but... Yeah. Maybe I should get the iron a little hotter."

"YES, I love the smell of flux in the morning. It smells like victory..." He felt vindicated with the optical looking like they were functioning properly. "Well, I can't fit my head in your helmet to check, so see if it's working."

"I figured you would, in the end," she snickered. "But with us being on Carid's trail and being close, I imagine that our days on Bellionas are probably coming to an end. That and whenever this Rebellion business finishes. I'm not sure how it'll look by the time we leave. Hopefully, in better shape than Kamda."

Soleene did offer a few glances while he was working on the optical piece. She wasn't sure if the smaller electronics were going harder than gears and hydraulics when it came to the previous upgrade. However, when Clay managed to get the job done, she slapped her hands together triumphantly. "Hey, hey! Gladly!"

She grinned and slipped off her helmet, in the process revealing that there was a Zeltron woman with short blue hair underneath that armour, before slipping on the new one to look around. "Hmm...is there a switch for this or it'll be automatically on after the lights are off?"

On seeing Soleene take her helmet off, Clay had a little smile. The longest romantic relationship he's had was with a Zeltron woman, and he had been around many others in his time working in racing. "Yup, that's I stay near by the Enclave when I get a job being racing mechanic."

"So, it should to automatically, just focus on one point for a few seconds, then in should change. It can to set to keywords or manual if you want." As she put the helmet on. Then he remembers Zeltrons empathy and the phenomes. "So, has it meet with your approval, then?"

Soleene snickered at a thought. "Funny you should mention the Enclave...when Raven and I were watching the race, we were thinking how it would have gone with a jetpack instead. I don't know how you feel about jetpacks but I'm almost sure that a few Mandalorians would have zipped past them easily enough."

"Oh, it follows my eyes? More advanced than I thought...." She said as she eyed a darker corner of the room and noticed the internal visor view changed accordingly. "Ah, there it is!"

"You probably hear this all the time, but very nice work, Clay! Exceeded my approval, you can say!" She said as she gave him a pat on the shoulder.

"Ah, yeah, I don't think they were permitted for the race, and I didn't have the credits for one. I am crazy enough to get one, so maybe after I'm done getting my new armor fully upgraded, I will get one." He makes a few swooping moves with his hands.

"Good, good. I'm happy you like my work." He said with a smile. "Now for my Optical Camouflage System. This be a fun one get up and running." He said looking down at the workbench where his armor was laying. "Hum, the irony, you're optical upgrade, now my camouflage system..."

He set to work on first upgrade in his new armor. "Hum, I might need a whole spool of solder for this one... Maybe more."
