Random Encounter [MA8]

[Qar Offee]

The place was truly random. A crossing of minor streets with a signpost dented by some banging with heavy objects and painted over so that its original purpose was lost. An overflowing bin. A revolutionary leaflet sticking by its grease to a window, having apparently hosted some sandwich in not too distant past. A sound of some local fauna rummaging through leftovers in a shallow back alley. A discarded child's toy, some blue action hero, now one-handed for some reason. A rather ugly, meaningless graffiti. A few bottles, standing in an even row as if whoever had emptied them had a desperate need to order the world even if it was on a microcosmic scale. A scent of someone's dinner, rather pungent.

Really, Qar had zero idea why he'd chosen to stop his bike here.

It was a chance encounter all right. Inga was taking a different route than she was used to now she took greater care to look around and see if anyone was following while moving from one place to another.

And while looking over her shoulder, she ended up in the same place, almost bumping into the Biker.

"Oh, sorry!" she says, turning her head to look at whoever she had bumped into... then took a step back and smiled. "Oh. It's you, Qar! Haven't seen you much since that first day on Bellionas. How have things been on your side?"

"Nothing much. Raced a bit. You're in hurry, Zee? Need a lift?" He smiled casually as if they'd seen each other only a few hours ago, not weeks.

"A race, huh?", she asks with a kind, if a bit subdued smile. "Managed to do what you came here for then, I'm guessing? How did it go?"

She then thinks for a while, looking around, then nods. "Well... I could use a lift, I guess. Where were you off to?"
