Gra'tua Cuun (D7 EN)

(Closed. You know if you're supposed to be here. Gathering party before venturing forth.)

It had been weeks of chasing and now, the hunt was now hopefully drawing to a close. And if it was succesful, she could face Mand'alor and Praxton again, head held high for having lived up to the expectations placed upon her. On them all.

They knew there was a trap set for them, but for now Raven put faith in having prepared for it the best she could.

Soleene was always up for a party with her brothers and sisters! The trap was cute and it was foolhardy to walk in willingly. The trick was to survive past it to make them feel really stupid for attempting in the first place.

Dredgen, Dex, and Silas came along as well. Neither of the first two wanting to miss this and Silas still felt indebted to Dex, or so he claims. While they gather and prepare the trio share a brief conversation among themselves, having arrived to the meeting point together.

[Were the Raiders asked for aid?]

[Raiders were invited, as discussed with Meiyokashi :D ]

Raven stared for a long silent minute at Varina's "new" weapon. Oh, she had seen that particular weapon before. She knew very well who it belonged to, and she could wager a guess at how Varina had acquired it.

Ultimately, it was not the right time to tear into the younger Mandalorian for this behaviour, and neither was it Raven's place to be the parent Reibelle should have been. Besides... Reibelle probably could guess too who had taken her weapon.

"Well, this is it." She felt ready for a real fight now. It would be quite disappointing if it proved to be yet another dead-end, but... nothing ventured, nothing gained. "Ready to go spring a trap?"

In hindsight, it'd probably be really awkward if her mom showed up for the raid too. However, she'd have to have known that Varina had taken the rifle already so it wasn't a hidden fact. "Do we have a breaching plan?" she asked. "Or are we only going to observe?"

"We're here to spring whatever trap Carid and his followers have set for us. We won't be charging in guns blazing, so we will take stealth to our advantage going in," Raven spoke to answer Varina's question.

She'd always had a confidence to her when she spoke of battle, but there was something more to it now. The voice seemed even steadier. Firmer. Somehow she also seemed more impressive to look at in her armor.

"Idea is, we're going in for a fight." They were Mandalorians, she didn't need to tell them to be prepared for it. They should already be. "Show him what we think of this pitiful trap of his."

---

OOC: Parts of the plan will come into play as we go, given Raven's double-Triumph on Warfare for planning, but more that it is in Meiyokashi's hands to work it in to make it work somehow. :)

As they spoke a couple Raiders showed up to the meetup, as they already had Silas they only sent two others to keep the numbers manageable for this kind of operation. One, based on a few markers on his armor was the man who stepped forward when Reibelle left after the initial incident with Varina. While the other's armor was mostly indistinguishable from most of the others but the wave she gave to Varina specifically gave it's hints.

Stepping in line behind him she pulled one of her blaster pistols from her side, giving it a good check over. Meanwhile, "We're ready to assist in taking down the traitor. This is your operation.." he said, and looked between those, "we follow your guidance."

Separating from the trio Dredgen looked to Raven and then the Raiders, "You'll be with me and the kids. While they take first shot we'll be in reserve watching around the perimeter to make sure no one escapes and be fresh for the fight if anything goes wrong," Dredgen's helmet turned toward Raven, "A dead warrior serves no good to anyone- well unless they're the enemy," he laughs deeply.

"We got your back," the girl chimed in, giving a quick little salute off the top of her head.

Having spoken some with the Raiders, and devising a plan amongst themselves. They were certain Carid and his people were likely to bait a trap like you would when hunting a dangerous predator and then attack from all sides when it was sprung. Considering what is known the bait is most likely going to be that speeder-van they transported Manny and friends in previously. With a quick survey of the area the group quickly discounted the empty warehouses as while it would be a good choice to inspire chaos it wouldn't have the field of view Carids people would desire.

So, they focused their attentions on the main building, an old workshop that's been abandoned. With what brief looks they were able to get from outside it appeared to be one with upper offices looking down over the main area in which vehicles would be brought in to be loaded or unloaded when the place still had life. As well, just as expected, they were able to confirm the presence of the speeder-van waiting inside the main throughway with the large doors on the opposite side closed shut.

Mixing in some of their own knowledge, the best bet for the Raiders would be if they lured the group in through the main door and then shut it behind them. Launching an ambush from above through the office windows. It's a defensible position.. but with limited ways out. Coming in around them from behind would thus also be difficult as the only way into the office that isn't going through the building would be going through a door up on a metal stairway around the outside of the building, but that effectively necessitates going through a small kill-box against however many of Carids people might be inside.

Raven nodded to Dredgen, knowing he'd be the most mobile of their group to catch up to any stragglers, or swoop in for backup. "Good hunting, vode an. Let's give them hell. K'oyacyi!" Following up her own words, Raven moved her carbine from her shoulders and to her hands, keeping it ready for the upcoming conflict.

"K'oyacyi!" Soleene cheered in agreement.

It was go time and to see what all Mandalorians here were made out of. Hopefully, they'll come out of this with stories and maybe even a few moments to brag out.

Seeing as Varina and Clay have this shooting thing handled. She decided to also take the vanguard if only to give them something to shoot at and keep them distracted potentially.

Varina didn't think this would go the way of "garrote somebody in a stealthy act." Regardless, while her initial instinct was to take the roof, charging in along with the others was a good way to ensure their safety. Of course, she wasn't concerned about herself. When was she ever?

Her stomping in, swinging her rifle around, was definitely an example of, "Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer."

Claymore started moving in stealth to start looking a good vantage point he could be in medium range for shooting.

Claymore found a position on one of the nearby walkways that goes up a set of stairs and then over some of the machinery on the ground. From there he finds himself an okay vantage point on where Carid's people are likely to be but in good range for his purposes. Meanwhile, the rest of the group moves in through the front together coming around by the Van.

Mostly inside now there is that deafening silence before a battle, they can feel the onset of the adrenaline as it begins pumping through their veins.

Holding her carbine up and ready, occassionally glancing through the scope in case it was picking up something her eyesight through the helmet's optics could not, Raven was on the lookout. That there were ambushers, she assumed, but she was more concerned with looking directly for other things... traps, tripwires... other things out of the ordinary.

Raising a hand she gestured for the others to be on the lookout as well.

She just hoped Varina could actually pay attention to it since she was running off in glee with her new weapon. Foolhardy kid.

While Raven was looking around, Soleene pulled out her blaster. It was an eventuality that she would use the damned thing and maybe she might hit someone with it. She gave a look over at the pristine polish of the gun. This really needed to change.

After, she gave a quick inspection for traps. Maybe she was distracted more by her own gun.
