Down and out in the Middle City...

Well actually, Grand's situation didn't seem that bad, but for a guy who had been some sort of pirate lord this probably seemed like destitution. Tens had no sympathy. There were far worse ways to be down on one's luck.

Knowing that he had been hanging around the Middle City made things a lot simpler. This was his home turf and he had a few ideas about where the guy might have ended up.

Was just a matter of visiting the right one..

There was one place in Middle City that was mostly renowned for its drunks. However, what Tenzing knew was that it wasn't how it used to be and isn't just because the drunks prefer this place cause it has good booze. Bizt the proprietor is actually a human-appearing offspring of a Human/Twi'lek couple that's always had a gold heart when it came to helping the less fortunate. Always offering rooms for free to those who can't afford it when he can above his bar. Unfortunately this has attracted some of the drunks who don't seem to want to get better, but he tries.

If Grand was going to wash up anywhere, this would be the place.

Of course, Bitz's place! Tenzing nodded and set off for the best place in town for a former Pirate lord (or whatever) to wash up... First up he checked the exits to make sure no-one was making a run for it.

Walking into the bar he nodded to the various familiar faces. "Hi Bitz, got a minute? I'm hoping you can help me out..."

"Oi! Tens! Long time," he laughed, wiping down his counter to prepare for the day. Within the bar there were a few of the aforementioned drunks already milling about but none of them seemed to have bottles, at least not fresh ones. A middle-aged man with a bright smile he gestures for him to take a seat, "What brings you by? You're.. no you're.. retired," he put the tonal air quotes over the word. "But hey- need something I got ya," he nods to confirm it.

"Heh, good to see you too pal. You know me too well." He offered an amused smile and pointed at the pot of kaff. "Wouldn't say no to a mug of the good stuff. Well, I'm looking for a fella who's down on his luck and I figured maybe he'd have come your way."

He scanned the bar a moment. "Human. 30osh. Scruffy looking curly dark hair, beard. Sometimes goes by 'Grand'. Sound familiar?"

"Hmm," he hums the thought. Tossing a towel aside he turns toward the machine. Bending over to dig through the lower cabinet for a mug, and setting that to the side. Pouring the lag into a mug he turns about with some speed and sets it before Tend, collecting over the other additives and putting those in front of him as well.

"Fella was here a couple days.. meets your description well enough but he didn't give me a name. Looks like someone who mighta called himself Grand once. Hasn't been around in a while though... could hang out and hope?"

"Or I give you a call he comes by again?"

Tenzing tucked into the kaff. "Tell you what, I'll drink this and if he hasn't stumbled in by the time I'm finished." He shrugged. "Give me a call when he turns up."

Taking a swig he looked around. "Anything you can tell me about him? Anything that might help, however small." You never knew what might lead to a target.

"Not much.." he says after a moment of strained thought, shaking his head with a shrug of his shoulders. "Guy came in looking rough, tattered clothes and all. Stumbled into a table and then landed right on the floor there-" he glances toward the ground near the front of the bar- "other than that.. looks like a guy who's had a real rough patch that doesn't seem to be ending. Has.. really clean hands," he chuckles, looking around.

"Folk around here don't have that luxury, but- yea, I can give you a call when.. well, if he shows up."
