Even getting this deep into the swamplands is a harsh journey. Muck refuses to give way to footfalls and there is the ever present sense of being watched all through the flora which covers this place. Mud captures legs as well as boots and moss causes handholds which at once seemed steady to give way. Yet, should a traveler manage through the terrain they will find themselves in a deeper portion, a more dense portion, of the swamplands; a place where there is little light to be found.

Rumors speak of this place on the tongue of many but especially of those that make something of a life within this region. Most adventurers return with stories that speak of a place which befuddles and confuses those who enter. Despite all their attempts to keep moving forward, and only forward, they somehow always manage to become completely turned around and returned to where they entered from. Some few speak of dark whispers which haunted them all through their attempts before experiencing the same. Thus far- none have spoken of tales that have managed to penetrate into the deep swamp but some speak of an image of a large beast which stalks the swamp deeper within. A beast which watched them all along their journey, they suspected.

Access Restriction: Restricted.

• Dark-side Force Users may enter and leave freely.
• Light-side Force Users find themselves repelled by the Swamp (See Force Sensitive Tag)
• Non-Force Sensitives find themselves harmlessly turned around. No matter how hard they try to stick to one direction they inevitably walk outside of the deep swamp exactly from where they entered.

Environmental Conditions:

• Deep Swamplands: 3 Setback to checks made to track or move through the swamp (this applies to Stealth.)
• Darkness: 1 Setback due to lighting. Little light breaks through the canopy of the flora present here.

Force Sensitives:
There is an overwhelming Dark-side energy present here that clouds it's true intentions.

• Dark-side Force Users find greater power at their fingertips and gain +1 Force Rating while here.
• Light-side Force Users find themselves befuddled and confused. A malevolent force repels them and speaks to them directly, darkly. Notify a GM of attempts for a Light-side Force User to enter the swamp. Suffer Two Difficulty-Upgrades to any Checks made in this location.

Day 8, MM:

In a sudden surge the invisible marker of the Deep Swamp swells, and the affects it has on beings and things alike swells with it. Each passing day this swell only seems to continue to grow with no certainty if it will ever stop.
