Return of the S...ludge. [D2, LM]

She still hadn't bothered to get herself a thermal cloak or anything. Was it overconfidence? Or just a lack of funds? Well, it didn't matter, did it? After yesterday, she *had* to come back here no matter. To that pool. To try and *understand*.
And so, she travelled the path she had travelled the day before. Hopefully, knowing the way would make things a little easier now.
[not sure if I still have to roll athletics since I know the way?]

As she walked she would be made aware of another presence one that felt familiar as the armored hulking form of Deonis emerged from the trees. "Couldn't leave it alone either?" Came the slightly modulated introduction.
He had since thoroughly cleaned his armor leaving no trace of the muck. He hoped they didn't need to enter the pool again.

Tyllia could feel him approach before he emerged into view, and frowned. Coincidence, this certainly was not. She wasn't sure what to think of it beyond that though: or better said, didn't know which of the myriad thoughts swirling inside of her to settle on.
"You again," she said, followed by another frown as a particular thought made itself known to her. Like so many others, it might either represent the beginnings of a realization, or just a mere stray thought that was completely off the mark.
"...does that armor have an internal cooling system, or something?"

"Would be more convenient if it did." He said in a dead pan tone as he moved closer to her "why do you ask?" If he was thinking about the coincidence of them meeting up again he didn't voice it and his expression hidden by the helmet it was hard to know what he was thinking.

"Because this heat is killing me, and I'm dressed light by comparison. Are you so paranoid that you'd keep even your helmet on in this heat, in the middle of nowhere?"
Of course, he could be some species that tolerated the heat better than humans did. Or one that couldn't breathe a normal oxygen atmosphere.

Deonis grunted "heat is an annoyance. Far from the worst pain I have endured." He replied. Truth be told he was sweltering in the armor but yes he was the paranoid "faces are information. Information can be deadly."

"Are they?" She shrugged, "Faces can be changed. Memories of them altered. Though it might be hard for someone like you, I suppose. You're not wrong in any case, but trust me when I say that even without such abilities, hiding in plain sight is much easier when you don't dress the way you do."

Deonis shrugged "there are many who do not show their face. Am I mandalorian, someone who can't breath the atmosphere? People don't know. People don't care. Attention is fine, mystery is fine."

Knowing the way made it easier, but much of the way was a slog of a journey. With no paths going this deep there were extended periods of physical exertion with little to no chance to truly rest. However, with enough concerted effort they'd always manage back the same way they felt they'd gone before.
Both roll:
[Athletics vs Average, two setback: Roll is based on the endurance portion of athletics, this is the traveling roll]
as well, one of you rolls:
[Perception vs Hard, 2 setback, (1 to lighting, 1 to other) to determine if this was the same path they traveled the other day.]

Deonis found little trouble navigating the muck and mud of the swamp, and in turn needed to find places where he could aid Tyllia a bit as she was struggling to keep pace. However, eventually they both made it through toward where their believed destination was supposed to be. Yet when they came out of the brush they did find a clearing where they expected to but there was no pool like there had been days prior.
After some checking around it felt like they'd gone the right way but everything within this swamp looked the same and there was no way to be certain.
Both:

Within the darkness Deonis missed it but Tyllia was able to see the large shape moving through the darkness. Something just a bit darker and with piercing red colored orbs that with a little more focus quickly became eyes. Soon as they were noticed the eyes shifted and disappeared into the darkness and the shadow of a large beast silently moved through the trees and thick swamp with ease, and disappeared from her sight.

Rather than stand there and try to explain what she just saw, Tyllia moved over to where she had seen it and attempted to follow it. She assumed that Deonis could not only follow her with ease; but that he'd also realize something was up when she suddenly focused the way she did and changed directions.

He did indeed notice her abrupt change in direction and focus and followed along behind her looking to see if he could see what she saw.

Trying to follow the creature was difficult, and it seemed to completely disappear into the swamp by mere glance.

Coming over/through a large bush between two tree points for anchors she found herself sinking a little into the mud. On the other side however she found herself sinking right next to and almost into a fairly large paw-print in the muck. Almost sliding down into it she instinctively reaches up for a hand-hold but only catches onto a vibe, steadying herself with it she glances up to see a dark purple flower open wide.
