He parked at the end of the homestead. The vision he had brought questions. Concerns about what lay dormant within the heart of the system. The cloak drawn tight about him, the Karkarodon made his way towards anyone who was out working.

An old man sat in a chair rocked along to the beat provided by a nearby wind-chime. He was an older gentleman, a Twi'lek with green skin dressed in old leathers and a wide-brimmed hat. Nearby a cane rest against the structure he used for shade. From here he watched the younger generations preparing the small paddy's set between their many houses on raised platforms for another harvest.

There was a stillness in the air as Phroth approached the man, drawing the hood of his cloak down. He didn't say anything for a time as he got within speaking distance, instead sharing in the quiet as he looked to those working. The scent of the paddy's filled his nostrils, and Phroth smiled somewhat.
"It's nice to see, something so good carved into the swamp like this. I'm sorry to bother you. Just curious about life against the swamp."

"Ingenuity of those of us still breathin'," he called over to Phroth, cackling a little as only an older man could. Taking a moment to measure the large hulking form common of a Karkadon for a moment. "Or maybe just a stubbornness in us folk to stay where we find ourselves. We make our way out here but it's far from an easy life youngin'. What brings you out this way?"

"There's value in living hard lives." He nodded, listening to the old man, nodding at the point. "I've heard... stories... about this swamp here." A truth, from a certain point of view.
"It feels so imposing. Like it could swallow and destroy everytjing in it's path. What can you tell me about it?"

"More just stubbornness," he laughs, shifting a bit on his chair to get a better look of Phroth. "Plenty I could tell ya, livin' here all the years I have. Not a whole lot that I wager would be all that interestin' to most. Better just left at the fact its dangerous and best left alone where it can be. Ain't never had a case where it was better agitatin' something than not agitatin' it."

"I'm not most beings." He smiled, moving closer to not have to speak loudly to the man. "Consider myself something of a scout. Always used to rugged terrain." He shrugged, leaning against something to be more relaxed as he spoke.
"You are right. If it isn't bothering others, best leave it alone... but I think something will start bothering others."

"Most critters keep to their homes," he said, almost without thought to the words as he glanced over Phroth. Scratching his chin he considered him a moment, "What makes ya think there's somethin' that'll start bothering others?"

"A feeling. I've been a hunter for a long time. Something in the air." He tilted his head up, looking to the edge of the farms. "Ever come across anything unusual? Any game that just looked wrong?"

"Unusual? For these parts?" he thought hard a moment, taking even a minute of time to give it a good long think but shook his head. "Plenty of creatures out there in the swamp but," he shook his head again, "No, nothin' out of the ordinary. Just the usual mean nasties, big and small," he laughed.
