The Boys From The County Hell [D7, EM] [Event]
Posted: Wed May 26, 2021 1:22 pm
Event Type: Combat Event
Participants: Five/Varies
Timeslot: Early Morning
Most people think that breaking in at the middle of the night is the best solution. Cover of darkness, sneaking around. That sort of thing. Professionals know different. Guards have had their caf, they are rested, and are generally aware of what is going on. Real professionals know that when you want to hit a target, you get them at the last stages of their shift. Their caf has run dry, they're tired at this point. They make mistakes. Usually also busy with a shift change, to boot. People aren't ready.
So when the first rocket hit the building, they weren't prepared for it. Nor were they prepared for the other 4.
~~
The Gonks launch their assault on the Civilian Medical Outreach Clinic at the break of dawn! Why are you not in bed?! Seriously!
Well, fortunately (or unfortunately), you happen to be in the area when it happens.
The event will be broken up into two parts:
In Holding the Line, you are to prevent as many of the Gonks from entering the building as you can for 5 rounds. After the 6th round, Imperial reinforcements will arrive to help aid in defending the building. What happens after that is anyone's guess. Time will be a factor for this thread, so please be able to post quickly in resolving it or have proper ghosting instructions at the ready to keep the pace quick.
In What About The Gonk Attack on the Civvies?, you will be making a series of skill challenges to help protect the innocent from getting hurt or dying (despite any rumors you may or may not have heard, it does appear to still actually operate as a medical facility.) The challenges for this event, as well as the difficulties, will be determined by the first 5 rounds of combat, including how many PCs will be able to enter. There will be a minimum of 3, so feel free to plan ahead (A variety of skillsets will also be useful).
