Here you are, defending a building some of you would have never thought you'd be in front of defending. Facing off against things you'd probably never think you would be attacking the building. Lots of questions, no real answers in front of you. Just a bunch of armored maniacs trying to get in.

Get that last sip of caf in you, because here they come...

Life can throw you curve balls...like having you defend an Imperial asset.

For now

Because innocent civilians were already there: patients, civilian doctors, visiting family. They would not survive the initial assault or the crossfire when the Empire would retaliate.

There was only one option left: drive the gonks back.

Phroth felt something. He would be in the right place, at the right time. His cloak drawn tight around him, scanner goggles on keeping his field of vision high.

Nara was doodling furiously in her notebook as the nurse answered her question
"Anything suspicious? Well, we do have our share of odd customers."
"How odd? Were they wearing strange hats?"
The nurse pauses for a moment
"N-no. Well, what counts as a strange hat?"
"I ask the questions here m'am. Now you better start thinking about headwear before-"

Nara turns and notices the rest of the PCs present
"...Oh stars there's gonna be a fight or some other sort of time sensitive happenstance. You should try and get folks to cover something. Let me know when you figure out the hats."

It seemed Deonis was having a rough couple of weeks. For two years he lived here only getting into the occasional scrap and now he's fought Rathar, wookies, human thugs, shadow Wraiths and that's just THIS week.

The tall armored figure was at the clinic just so happened to be seeing if he could acquire some medical supplies and advice. He noticed a Chiss woman bizarrely questioning a nurse when the first rocket went off. Rather than shock people around him would just hear a resigned sigh as he turned to see what kriffing Banta poodoo he had to deal with today.

As you all stand in front of the door, you begin to see it. Gonks. Maybe hundreds of them. Didn't realize that there were that many of them. Yet, here there are on this fine morning charging the door to get in. You don't know how long you'll need to do it, but you got to hold them off until back-up arrives.

In an instant, the Karkarodon had his spear blaster drawn. The grip was a perfect fit for his webbed hands. Reaching out through the Force, he trained his blaster on one of the approaching raiders. Then, moving behind some cover, protecting himself as he lined up his shot.

Incidental - Quick Draw Spear Blaster
Maneuver - Mark for Death NPC 1 (Commit 1 Force Die and designate a target. My attack rolls against that target auto-add w advantages).

The first of the Gonk mooks run towards you all, one of them in particular getting in a shot before moving again. They are greeted by a massive explosion, killing 2 of them from the charging mob. They each fire widely at the Phroth, though their shots are enough for the next group to course correct when they fire their barrage again.

Torr approaches the medical center curiously. As the explosions ring out he scurries to cover and surveys the field.
"I could have used another couple hours of sleep," he bitches quietly. Shortly after he moves a little closer to the charging gonks, keeping to cover and sticking to shadow.

He successfully closes the distance to medium range but finds himself in a precarious position. He then takes two strain to find cover behind some debris.

While Tor spent his time hiding around some rubble or something, some Gonk Mooks charge up, properly. Ever slowly in a group. They'll make it there, eventually!

Nara grins widely as a rocket strikes the building even as the nurse by her side yelps and starts talking in a panic
"Even if they try to breach the walls it would take an army beyond reckoning, thousands to take the Clinic."
Nara shakes her head
"Tens of thousands"
"But there is no such army!"

Then they hear it, the deafening horns of the gonks mingle with the heavy treads of hundreds of boots as the gang advances towards the building. Behind them Nara thinks she can hear their leader bellowing a speech:
"A new power is rising! Its victory is at hand! This day the land will be stained with the blood of imperials!"
The gonks answer with a furious roar.

Nara sniffles, her eyes misting even as she pushes the nurse back into the building
"This...this....this is the happiest day of my life! I've had dreams exactly like this."
Unslinging the sleek nightstinger given the range
"There will be no dawn for Gonks. TO WAR!"

((15 damage pierce 1, If the triumph can be used to delay the Gonks a little bit, shooting something flammable, knocking something into the way, that would also be great))

Nara takes quite the impressive shot, managing to killing the first Gonk Mook squad out with extreme precision.

The next set of Gonk Mooks start to make their way forward to the building, in the meantime, the Gonk Captain makes his way up and gets behind cover.

Torr sees the squad and determines they're close enough. With that he jumps from cover and charges. Once engaged with them he opens up a flurry of kicks and devastating punches with his sap gloves. As his momentum builds he forces the squad apart isolating one which he levels with a devastating onslaught. With one last heavy blow the mook falls to the ground and moves no more.

He took aim again against the first captain in sight...disruption of the chain of command (whatever it is) is always a good strategy.

Gonk Captain #1 gets riddle with blaster holes from the experience and falls down dead before it got a chance to do anything, while Torr manages to get two powerful strikes against the Gonks. The next captain begins to make his move to Medium and attempts to shoot his bow at the hiding shark!

There was probably real look of disappointment when the arrow pierced your skin, but you wouldn't be able to tell due to the ruined Clone helmet he was wearing.
