Sorry to ruin the day [D1, LA]

She was pushing herself hard this day; exploring places she probably shouldn't be. These particular ruins didn't seem too exciting perhaps, but she couldn't pass up the opportunity for some good finds. If she was going to accomplish her goals on this planet, she was going to need lots of things. Parts, for one. Credits, for another. She could buy the former, of course; and she was confident that there'd be opportunities for the latter. But if luck was with her, she might get a bit of a leg up whilst simultaneously getting a lay of the land. So to speak. Plus, she might find something special or rare too.

But her efforts in the swamp had zapped her strength more than she'd cared to admit. It was hard to keep her footing. Especially with how dark it could be in places here. She didn't think it was smart in potentially hostile territory; given the rumors she'd heard; but she pulled out her glowrod and switched it on every now and then to get a good look at where she was going; then switched it off again... careful to not let the beam pass over too large an area and mark her presence for others.

But that didn't mean others couldn't potentially figure it out anyway.

This was not the worst experience you've had today. Well, at least not yet. But, it was a pretty sloppy entrance into this place. Immediately, you can hear the Gonk gang start to group around your location, but you're good on your feet and quickly go into cover. You could probably make your escape and not have them realize it, or you can press on with the advantage of them being distracted into one area and (hopefully) get thru while they are distracted.

((You can either use your advantages to escape the scene without being caught or use them to upgrade a die and boost on your stealth.))

Tyllia wasn't about to let this deter her. She had no idea who these guys were. Some local gang no doubt. Maybe they were the dumb type who'd start shooting right away; maybe, if they saw she was just some girl with no noticeable weapons, she might be able to talk her way out of it. Or, if she was lucky, they wouldn't notice her at all as she moved to a new spot.

This time, she put the glowrod away. No sense in drawing any further attention to herself.

Stealth #2, no glowrod this time. Upgrade + boost: 2eP+1eB+2eD+2eS 3 successes, 4 threat

It was a sloppy exit from the area, but a exit was made nonetheless. You knocked over several things fumbling in the dark, leading to them keeping on your trail. Fortunately, you manage to be several steps ahead of them. It is not your finest moment in all of your attempts to escape people likely wanting to kill you, but it was one you could likely still walk away from.

Eventually you inside a building and go silent. 5 of them continue to grunt at each other and begin to spread out around the area. They're not sure where you are now, but they know you're around this area. You're confident enough you could possibly get the drop on them with your...weapons...that you...don't really have.

Okay, maybe there is something else you can do.

She did have *some* weapons. Sort of. She had her stick. And she had a palm stunner. Nasty little surprise, that. Five thugs, huh? She didn't like those odds, but this was an opportunity. To hone her skills. Besides, these guys might have something useful on them. If she could take them out and steal their stuff... well, wouldn't be a total loss then.

Tyllia waited in her dark little corner until one of them pass close by; then she came up from behind him and pressed the palmstunner to the back of his neck. Thugs like this tended to be tough, so it wasn't a sure thing that he'd get knocked out cold... but if he didn't, well, she had a backup. Sort of. It wouldn't affect all of them. Ah, this was maybe a bad idea after all. Well, time to commit.

You manage to get the drop on the Gonk. He doesn't even hear you sneak up on you as you charge your gloves up for the attack. It works effectively. A little too effectively. The big hulking brute falls down on the ground and lands into some rubble, dropping its gear with a very audible thump.

This has only doubled their efforts to find you. They keep their eyes around them, keeping close to one another as they move towards their fallen comrade to investigate further. You still manage to make your way out of their vision as you hide out again. The Gonks still make no noises as they move around, keeping a eye out for anything suspicious.

She winced a little at the noise, and retreated back into the shadows; though if she could, she'd try and grab his gun if she could. She then swung around, behind another one; stick at the ready, palm stunner charged... looking to knock out another one...

...but this time she wasn't so lucky. Or was she?

No, she wasn't. They managed to sneak up on one of them again. Unfortunately, due to it being so dark, you yet again trip on something.

This debris is just the worst.

You kick some rubble well enough that it hits one of them, which turn around at you, charging them with your gloves. He grunts and the others turn, seeing you. You quickly manage to dive into cover behind them as they pull out their guns and prepare to ruin your day.

((Roll me some Vigilance, advantaged used to get you behind cover before combat at medium range.))

This was a sticky situation to be in, but thankfully she had some cover; meaning she had a *bit* of breathing room. Maybe.

"Wow, I'm unarmed! Don't shoot!"

She hid behind that cover and tried to cloud the mind of one of them... but it didn't work.

Two of them pick up their rifles while another one picks up their axe..looking thing. It vibrates, though it's not like any Virbo weapon you have ever seen before. Makeshift, barely working. Probably wouldn't last long in a real prolonged fight. Pretty ingenious engineering, though.

The last one begins to head off, one could only guess where it was going.

They grunt at you, still not taking shots. They don't seem to be speaking to you in any of the tongues you know, but it becomes apparent that they want you on the ground from their body language and their motions. The one with the axe begins to move closer to you (Range is now close) preparing to do...whatever it is it's going to do.

"Yeah! Yeah okay", she made it sound like she was scared, and complying; meanwhile, she drew upon the Force to implant an illusion in the mind of the guy with the axe.

Needing him to actually look that way though, she did her best to look like she was shocked, pointing at his buddies behind him and going;

"Oh shit, imperials!"

The Gonk with the axe turns around and immediately sees, what he thinks is a Stormtrooper standing next to his fellow patrolman. Unsure what to do at this point, he moves in and charges at him, grunting loudly and acting all intimidating.

The "Stormtrooper" looks at his fellow, equally confused at what was going on. There is mass hysteria for a few moments, but that goes out the door when blasterfire echoes thru the empty streets. Streaks of red light break thru the darkness as a Gonk screams their last scream.

Seeing how well this was working, she finally got out from behind her cover, yelling and waving as she did. She knew the limitations of her own power. She knew she needed to pull the trick off again if she didn't want him to snap out of it. And so that's what she did, closing the distance between them and pointing at the still standing gonk...

...who was now *also* an imperial.

"Shit, shit! They're everywhere!"

[maneuver to close to short distance with axe gonk, misdirect again on the axe wielding gonk, turning his other buddy into an imperial too. Also, conflict for the use of the dark side pips I guess?]

The Gonk's eyes go wide and start to panic before more fire comes directly at them. Nothing hits, but it gets really close! This definitely has everyone spooked. They all immediately dive for cover against them, avoiding you completely. This does, however, leave you as the only real target in plain sight. There's obvious grunting and arguing at the "Stormtroopers" there, but it seems like there is too much input for them to figure out what the hell to do with everything happening all at once.

She sighed, they were supposed to be killing each other. But they weren't! Someone else was! So, instead, she moved forward to the nearest gonk and hit him with her stick!

She was actually pretty decent with that stick; but it wasn't enough to actually do any damage.

Hopefully, whoever was out there was on her side at least.

Either way, she made an opening for herself and took cover again.

Not far behind the approaching mandalorian, another appeared. The droid, moved quickly to get in a good position for shooting the gonks, unfortunately they where dispersed enough that the droid couldn't target all of them at one...

''<<Target acquired. Fire>>...'' The droid said as it pressed the trigger of its heavy blaster rifle, hitting one of the gonks with a very deadly shot...

This patrol was not looking so good. Two of them had come down with sudden case of death. One of them freshly covered with holes. The other ones didn't like these odds. The first had to consider the larger options. The one with the stick was...laughably puny. The ones with the blasters were not so much. So, given the two options, the clear choice of victory was ignore the one with the limpy, pointy stick and focus on the droid.

Both of those shots go wide as they panic and focus on reloading.
