Looking For Work [D7 MM]

[Nelk]

Nelk woke up early and headed to Madame Saphs'. She waited outside the ruined building waiting for her Allies Torr and Jaxsom. She hoped these sisters would prove to be valuable allies, but the bounty hanging over her head made her cautious.

[Torr Po]

(EDITED) Torr was out of breath and ready to collapse, "Sorry," he coughed, "am I.... whooooo, I forgot about today."

[Jaxom Ursae]

Jaxom arrived a moment later.. "Morning. Good to see you both."

[Nelk]

“Good morning gentlemen. Before we go in there, remember, no matter what happens stay calm. We don’t want to insult the girls, or give them any reason not to trust us. If they’re really working with the guys they’ll have their guard up to any uninvited guests.”

[Torr Po]

(EDITED) "Welcome... friend!" Torr pants looking bedraggled and exhausted, "Lead the way Nelk."

[Nelk]

"Let's do it." Nelk led the way into old Maddam Saphs', wondering what the place must have looked like in its golden years. She took a deep breath before entering, and looked to great the sisters.

"Sounds good." Jaxom followed.

Once they arrived there were a few guards stationed outside, a male and female Nikto. Giving them a glance as they entered the group was allowed inside on the ground floor. All around them the clear signs of construction proceeding more than just apace but excelling given the amount of time put into this place. Even now the loud sounds of the work greeted them as they entered.

However, before they could get far a Chiss woman dressed with the necessary safety wear and a very plain but expensive looking suit underneath. Seeing the group enter she was quick to signal them closer and then approach a step or two herself as where she was standing, having been reviewing some sheets spread out on a table, was far too loud for conversation.

"Your business?" she asked, the military clip to her tone shining in the phrase.

Nelk gives a slight bow, "please forgive our interruption, but we are here seeking an audience with the Sisters. We got a tip that they may be in the market to hire some help. We hope to be that help."

[Meiyokashi]

Red eyes, no iris, the Chiss woman measured Nelk for a moment and then her head turns to each in turn, "After some recent unfortunate interactions with the locals the sisters do not see anyone unless they're properly vetted first. I, however, can handle that vetting process and luckily for you we're working on a basic honor system. You perform a task for us, get paid, and then maybe the sisters will see you."

"What skills are you selling?"

[Torr Po]

"Hmmm," Torr thought a minute, his breathing at last under control. "Well speaking for myself. I suppose in your parlance I might be what's referred to as muscle." Said the scrawny bedraggled cat. "That and I'm also a cardsharp."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Generally, I deal in acquisitions." Jaxom said.

[Meiyokashi]

"Muscle.. cardsharp, and acquisitions," the Chiss woman's smile quirks at that one, appreciative of the nature in the response.

"Am I then to assume you are all looking together? Or are these separate affairs?"

[Nelk]

“As for myself, I am capable of acquiring information and making people talk as well as a bit of a racketeer. And I think I speak for all of us that we’d like to work together if possible.”

[Meiyokashi]

"Varied- not one simple line of work but, as a group.. yes, it has flexibility. That which I believe will allow you all to work together," she says, tapping her index finger on her chin once. Stepping forward she looked over the group, laying one hand on her hip, "my employers do have a recent problem the group of you might solve. Recently, a workman on this project organized a group of fellows demanding higher wages for him and his associates. Though- Minn and Iris paid well for the contract, they were unhappy with our displeasure with their slacking off."

"This setback has caught the sisters time," she smirks, looking between them all the best they could but without iris' it was hard to tell. "Find the organizer of this walk-off and bring him before the sisters. Simple, hmm? You may wish to question the other workmen here but if you choose to- be quick about your questions? We are behind already because of this and I would not wish the sisters anymore displeasure."

[Torr Po]

Torr nodded, "Seems clear enough, ehh but if I might ask? What if perchance we can get the little fools to get back to work without wasting any more of your time? Is this also an acceptable outcome?" Torr wasn't above seeing a person off to be killed, after all that's the nature of bounty hunting. But if he could avoid the matter entirely he would.

[Meiyokashi]

"It's not the contract-" she glares just in case there was the thought of speaking out of turn among any of them- "but, if you did that I'm certain the sisters would be more than appreciative of the return to expected workflow."

[Nelk]

Nelk nods her head, "Are there any leads? A name? The more we know up front, the less we have to bother your workers, this place will be the envy of Bellionas when the work is complete, I'm sure."

[Meiyokashi]

"Tair'olan.. I believe he was a Nikto born from a joined union- doesn't matter. Lives here locally, I'm sure but beyond that we didn't seek too much into his personal life. Those around here may know more but they have thus far been unwilling to negotiate with management. My employers would like to believe this is because they truly don't know but- I am a woman who focuses closer to reality, chances are they are merely afraid and wish not to harm a friend."

My employers would like to believe this is because they truly don't know but- I am a woman who focuses closer to reality, chances are they are merely afraid and wish not to harm a friend."

"Interesting. Let us talk to your people and see if we can coarse them to be helpful. Like my companion said, we don't wish to harm anyone, the less bodies, the easier the clean up." Nelk looked around the build site, "We'll start there," She points towards some workers hauling wooden beams.
