Is it knowledge to know ignorance? [D7, MM, Expecting]

Zim had heard of the Museum a number of times, and she had been meaning to visit for some time. But the activities with the Rebellion and at the Lower City had taken so much of her time that she actually hadn't found time for it... until now.
She had been meaning to see if she could find any hints as to what happened that made the Gonks what they were like. She knew the hope for something like that at the museum was dim... but after what happened this morning, she thought she had to try.
So she finally made her way to the Upper City, where she hadn't been often so far, got into the Museum, and started looking around at the exhibit...

As she frequently does, Dhel's handing out flyers for performances at the Cave today. No new ship full of tourists today, so it's been quiet, but that's kind of peaceful as the world feels on the edge of changing some way. So the sound of footsteps easily catches her attention.
When she spots the Mikkian, there's a crinkling along the bridge of her nose as she considers that the head tentacles seem kind of familiar, though she can't set a name to the face. Either way, she slips up alongside as Zimrzala passes one of the exhibits dedicated to the massive work of the Wall pamphlet in hand.
"You have to be kind of hard up for entertainment to swing through here. There's way more fun stuff to see come evening."

The Mikkian's tendrils alert her to the Bothan coming closer before she notices her otherwise, but that manages to avoid her startling at least. She turns to Dhel with a weak smile, having a look at her as she extends her hand to get the Pamphlet. "Oh! Well... not like I've come up here often, at any rate. And... it's been a busy day already, to be honest - even if I'd not call what happened entertainment by any stretch of the word..."
She does seem a bit down when mentioning it, but she doesn't let herself linger on the feeling and the smiles soon comes back to her face. "So.. something at the Cave, eh?", she says looking at the Bothan with a smile on her face. "Wait... you're the girl who helped Petra, right? I'm Zimrzala - or Zim, or Zee", she says, the smile broadening a bit.
OOC:
Oof, thought I had posted this but left it open on my browser while afk -_-' Sorry!

"Yeah, I'm Dhelih, Dhel for short." Her own smile grows a bit wider. "And if you know that, then you've been around some of the same group Petra hangs with." That seemed reasonably vague. "I"m singing most nights at the Cave, often with a Mirialan dancer accompanying." She would not be performing tonight, but the chain that would lead to that had yet to play out.
"Sounds like you've had a rough morning." There's a few beats as not terribly well-developed instincts creak into action. "Anything I can help with?," she asks.
_____________
OOC: Yeah...I _never_ do that. XD

The Mikkian nods, smile still on her face as well, keeping things vague enough. "I have." The smile slowly fades as her face grows more serious. "And... was a bit rough, yea.. but done what we could. Just... didn't quite expect it. Hoped it wouldn't happen, even. Was a Gonk attack. Not much more that
can be done now, I guess... but thanks!"
She brings a bit of a smile back to her face as she moves her head in the direction of a Pavilion on recent history. "Never been to the Cave, but I've heard about it. So... what sort of music do you sing?"

With a deprecating smile, she shrugs, "oh, this and that, just not operatic stuff." Leaning in a bit she adds with a grin, "mostly whatever brings in the best tips, so energetic and bawdy are often the picks." She drifts along toward the Pavilion, following Zimrzala's cue.
But she also is rather distressed about the other news. "Gonk attack? Where? That had to be scary." She looks the Mikkian up and down. "But you're ok?"

The Mikkian starts looking at the displays for recent history almost as if looking for something in particular, but turns to face the Bothan again with a slightly shy smile when she answers. "Oh! Well, I'm not sure 'bawdy' is much my thing... but I'd like to see your act one of these days!"
Some more steps looking at the exhibit. Doesn't seem like she really found what she's looking for so far...
"And... the clinic.
That clinic", she adds, guessing Dhel will have heard something about it, considering the events of the previous night. "I'm... trying to make sense of it, still. The Gonk leader was there, apparently. But you see, he..." She stops mid-sentence.
"We managed to get most out safely, at least..." she says somewhat sadly. "Me and the others who were inside helping evacuate the place were lucky, managed to avoid the worst of it all while helping people get out. Lucky of us, I guess..."
A look at another part of the exhibit. She reads and examines some parts of it... but it doesn't seem like she found whatever she was looking for. She then turns back to Dhel again, a calm but thoughtful expression on her face.
"Dhel... you're a local, yeah? I wonder... what do you know about the Gonks? I'm trying to... understand them, I guess..."

She frowns slightly, shifting around a display. "Gonks attacking the Imperial clinic?" Huh. On the one hand, good for them, on the other...sick people in the blast radius. "Glad you were able to get people out. But that's so strange. LIke...I know you're not supposed to go too close to their spaces down there, But yeah, local. I always heard they were kind of dumb? So like, if you just steered clear, and never approached them if you saw any like...outside of their camps?...you didn't need to worry too much."
"Like, there's a lot more prevalent crime I worry about more the few times I've been to the Lower." She offers an apologetic shrug. "Local, but Middle-raised and bred. Haven't spent as much time down there. Hmm...Tens knows lots of people all over though. Might have heard more." After a pause, she adds, "Tenzing, that is. His full name. Used to be a cop, I think?"

The Mikkian nods at her. "Ah... I think I've heard his name? Haven't talked to him much though. Might be worth asking him, thanks! And of course, no worries - just figured locals might have heard more about them. I'm.... not so convinced this about them being dumb is the real deal. Or all of it, at least..." She shrugs. "But as you said... sick people in danger. Even if that clinic may not be the
best place to get treatment, it's still the only choice for many, I guess. But well - At least there we could provide some help."
She looks at some more things in the exhibit, then turns to the Bothan again with a warmer, lighter expression. "So... you never left Bellionas, then?" Her expression is almost a bit nostalgic for a moment - not for Bellionas, of course, but there seems to be something she might have yearned for. But it's soon gone, and she focuses on the Bothan's answer.

Dhel brightens. "For about a month, pretty recently, I did leave. Made it to Kamda before getting dumped and having to work my way back." She laughs. "I don't recommend that as the best way to travel, for sure. And now..." she pauses, thoughtful. "I might be. I guess there's a decision there at some point since someone's letting me live on their ship."
With a sigh and a slight shake of her head, she continues on, "what makes you think the Gonks aren't so dumb? Well..I guess other than them coordinating to try tearing down a hospital?"

"Oh", the Mikkian says, her eyes widening. "I'm sorry to bring back a bad experience. But... There may be more travelling in the near future then, it seems?" Her expression brightens a bit. "Hopefully more enjoyable this time. Any ideas where you would be heading?"
She then takes some time looking at the exhibit again before taking up the other point.
"Well... Yeah, there was... Some coordination there, I guess. But that wasn't what I was thinking of, in fact..."
After another silence, she looks at the Bothan, this time with a thoughtful expression. "I heard the rumours about them and wondered what kind of people they were... Did you know they farm?", she asks with a small smile.

"Not that bad an experience...I mean, I was pretty pissed at the time. Burned everything she'd given me and let me keep." Dhel snorts. "Which was honestly a pretty stupid thing to do. Could have sold it all for a little toward that return ticket."
"But as for where I'd go next? I don't even know. And there's everyone else on there too who might have plans and...I don't even know if I'm staying on the ship, or staying here...but I should probably go right? Wouldn't most people leave here, given the chance?" She takes in the new information about the Gonks. "Huh...well, maybe they wouldn't want to leave if they've got farms. How do they do that down there with no light?"

Zim shots Dhel another smile. "Well... you probably could have sold it! But good to know you'e come to think of it as a good experience. Of sorts, at least." A shrug, then. "And... you mean because this is a small community? I suppose most would... at least to get to know other things. But there's some peace to be found in a life well-lived in a peaceful place too..." she looks around again and lowers her voice a bit. "And that's what many are trying to make possible here, yeah?", she asks with a hopeful smile.
She then stops to think for a while. "Hm. That's a good question, actually. I'm definitely not an expert on xenobio, much less on local flora... but they were definitely growing stuff there. There was... some light there too. Not sure if it's natural..."
She looks at her. "Funny that I hadn't thought of that. Do you know of any local produce that might be grown in those conditions? Or... any light sources that actually filter through to the Lower city?"

"Peace'd be good. There's a lot more to clean up for that, but we've got a start." Dhel says, routing around an exhibit on the days just post War.
"I don't know much about farming, but I imagine they could get lights? And we do have like mushrooms? Fungus things that are edible. I know that the early settlers had to make food down there somehow way back then."

She answers the first part with a nod and a smile. There was much to do... but they'd definitely got a start, and given the circumstances, that was a victory.
She then looks at Dhel thoughtfully as she answers about Gonk farming. "Ah... that would make sense. I'm not sure
what they were cultivating... but..." She waves towards a door to one of the other exhibits "you're definitely right about the early settlers, if I learned anything while looking over there!"
A shrug and another smile. "Well... I suppose I should stop bothering you with Gonk talk, though, eh?" A weak grin. "Unless you'd be up for visiting them at some point. Otherwise... when's your next gig at the Cave? Or... you don't sing anywhere else, yea?"

"No worry, it's no bother," Dhel smiles, the smile fading to some confusion. "Visiting? That's...don't they just pretty much kill people roaming into their spaces?" She shakes her head at the thought.
Regathering her composure she adds, "Planning to sing tonight,* yes. Tomorrow's a bit busier, but I'm going to try catching a gap in the stage a little earlier than usual. After that...well, I don't plan too far ahead." She grins. "You know how plans can change around here. I've worked other spaces, but...right now, the Cave and...othe sources, have kept me afloat well enough not to need to work elsewhere for a bit."
(*plans would be rather disrupted)

"So I've heard too... And I'll grant they are wary of outsiders. But when..."
The Mikkian stops mid-sentence and shrugs. "Well... I may be too hopeful, but we'll see, I guess."
Her slightly worried and thoughtful face changes to an easy smile again as she nods at Dhel's rather short-term plans. "Flexibility is good, that much is true. I hope I can still find some time to see you on stage, then!"

"I definitely hope to see you there! I hope you'll stay safe...what with visiting Gonks and," she makes a vague sort of 'all this' gesture, "and everything. It'd be good to chat someplace less institutional."
