Topple the Tower [Day 9, LA]

"I can sneak in and out of places fairly well." Jaxom spoke up. He'd been sitting quietly and simply listening. "I prefer talking my way in, but I'm probably better at the other thing."

Torr grins and nods at Jaxom.

I have to disagree," she says, looking to Torr. Resolve in her voice, "In how you speak, it may matter little to the Empire but for us? For us it matters all the more if blood is spilled. Yes, the Empire may still respond with violence that we cannot avoid but to enact violence ourselves.. to have success gained in blood would not inspire the hope we wish. It would only inspire further violence, hatred between people. While that can be used against the Empire and it is on many other planets by many other people not here. Here, our goal is to truly inspire the people and to give them hope."

"Don't misunderstand I agree, and would favor a non-violent and discreet approach. My aim is simply to advise. And in so doing encourage that we look to the next step assuming neither approach is possible." He retains his matter of fact style of speech. "Once the empire begins cracking down, and crack down they shall, the people will be in immediate harm. A place for people to turn to. A shelter for dissidents. A safe-haven, perhaps several, should be established. Food surpluses should be gathered as well as medicines and other things. If you think it is hard to procure items now, it will only get worse. For If you are going on the offensive. It is best to be prepared for the consequences, intended or otherwise. And those of us unsuited for the spire, at the very least might be used in fortifying against the counterattack."

He scratches his beard in thought before continuing.

"I unfortunately have no contacts save the name Captain Alda Nalaria. But even that is flimsy at best."

"We will have to do what we can but.. as I have recently spoken about with a friend," she smiles briefly, looking to those gathered here. "We must focus on what we can do today. Save those and what we can now. While we still have to look to the future, and we will, we would not want to cause more harm than good but.. we need to start somewhere. That somewhere is right here," she says, giving a nod.

"We should be able to get access to some," she says, glancing to Tenzing. "It may.. come at a cost," she glances to Mylar.

"Don't sweat it," he says with a side-grin, a quick nod toward Tenzing. "I got you."

[Torr Po]

Torr nodded in agreement and sat back contentedly. He had said what he felt needed saying and would follow whatever lead his more adept colleagues chose. He knew that his part in the coming operation would likely be either bodyguard or backup.

"We should be able to get access to some," she says, glancing to Tenzing. "It may.. come at a cost," she glances to Mylar.

Tens opened his mouth to tell Mara he was ready to do whatever was needed...

"Don't sweat it," he says with a side-grin, a quick nod toward Tenzing. "I got you."

...which turned into a smile. "Okay, well, I guess we're good to go. I could take Maintenancebot 9000 here with me." A grin at SCaT. "Or else let a few others in through a service entrance once I'm inside." He took a sip of kaff and grabbed another doughnut. "Help yourselves. Have we got up to date floorplans for the spire?"
