Mara sits at the head of the table set out in what had been up until this point their groups hideout alone. Inhaling deeply through her nostril she holds the breath and then releases slowly between her lips. Holding that calm for a moment. Looking to her side Sera's hand comes down on her shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"Nervous?" she asks, and Mara gives a quick nod in return. With a brief and reserved smile Sera gives her shoulder another squeeze. Moving around the side of the seat to come around and face Mara, kneeling down on one knee.

"You'll do great," she says, giving that smile once more with a little nod. Putting a hand on Mara's and giving it a little squeeze.

"Yea," Mara smiles at the squeeze and returns the nod. "You're right. Just got to meet with them.. talk, and lay out the plan for what we need to get done. Then.." she shakes her head.

"Just gotta worry about that first step now," Mara says and Sera gives an affirmative nod. Raising up again Sera moves off to make some final security preparations and leaves Mara to herself for the moment. Though she wasn't totally alone with Mylar not far away at their console tinkering away. Petra too was around here somewhere, probably getting into some little mischief.

Standing, Mara walks over to the empty space by the entrance. Looking out toward the door they prepared for the arrivals and doing her best to hear the words spoken in her parents voices' again, it brought a smile and gave her hope.

That many mechanical legs moving at once really ought to make a great deal of noise, but FX-12's arrival was announced not by the grinding of metal on metal but by the gentle beeping of a greeting.

This unit greets you, it beeped. It is called FX-12, medical assistant droid....Hi.

It waved one of its entirely-too-sharp appendages in a slow arc.

"Oh dip! A robot!" Manny was at the meeting. He'd come as soon as possible, because, well, he wanted to get started as soon as possible! What did he want to get started with? Whatever it was that they needed him to do!

"Hey, how's it going, FX?" Manny said cheerfully. "I'm Manny. I'm a magician. Nice to meet you!" He held his hand up for a fist bump... then noticed just how spiky FX's limbs were. "Uhhhh... maybe we should just wave?"

Aanli took the winding, nondescript path to the safehouse. She rarely touched base quite so directly with the Resistance. Threat to the cover. But sometimes, it was a necessity.

"Good evening." A round of hellos and introductions all around. "I brought cookies?" she offered. Including to the droid, out of politeness. Maybe the droid would enjoy analyzing it? Or to bring leftovers to a friend?

Though 'cookie' was not an entirely honest term for it. More like a dense bundle of carbs packaged with fruit and honey. A way to discretely get a full meal into the belly of the less fortunate members of the Resistance while looking like an empty gesture.

"Cookies? Alright!" Manny grinned at the newcomer. He snatched one up, tossing it into the air, and snatching it again. "Whoa, these have a good weight. Toss me a few more and I can juggle them! Wait..." He nodded solemnly. "These are for sharing, not juggling."

He raised his non-cookie fist to her. "Manny Donos, magician. Oh, also, I have a ship." He shrugged. That part wasn't as exciting to him.

A panel slowly opened on the droid's chassis, and, again slowly, a metal arm extended to accept the baked good.

This unit is pleased to receive your display of generosity, Doctor. It is fitting for the occasion, unlike this unit's gift-item.

The metal arm placed the baked good reverently on top of a be-ribboned package inside its dangerous body. Together they rested on the floor of the compartment, just in front of the resting blaster-rifle.

Tyllia's knowledge of this group was sparse at best; and her ties to them were tenuous to say the least. A chance encounter somewhere on the out er rim, that led to an introduction, that led to another introduction that then led to *another*. Something along those lines. She was the kind of acquaintance of an acquaintance that came with the glowing recommention of 'Here is a person.'

She walked toward the meeting area with her hood drawn down over her face. Just an inconspicious young woman, nothing to see here.

The sound of someone talking about cookies had almost inspired her to turn around. She had encountered her fair share of fools on the way to this planet already. Who came to a supposed resistance meeting and started... juggling... cookies? What? Magician?

And a ship.

Fine.

She came to a stop behind them. Polite. Not interrupting. Just waiting to be acknowledged by someone, or until whatever they had planned to talk about was going to be talked about.

The medical assistant droid's head rotated with a soft whirr to focus its sensors on the more unobtrusive of the guests. While its category of parties had been expanded at the christening, and now again here by the doctor-with-the-cookies, it seemed that this person was not accustomed to parties.

Was this a party?

Perhaps not.

Its too-red lights dimmed a bit.

No party, no dazzle.

Soleene strolled into this with purpose and she didn't look too pleased. While this was a meet and greet with cookies involved, she wasn't in the mood for it. She knew the sooner they got the talking over with, the sooner they could get to getting things done. It's events like these that were really preventing her from punching every face related to the wedding debacle. It was probably for the best she was being held back from doing that considering there were a lot of unknown faces here.

If more then one mandalorian was involved in something, it might become a party soon enough.

Perhaps not one 'normies' would enjoy though

And look at that! A second, but unknown, mandalorian walked in.

''Greetings. Is this the Poplar Appreciation Society?''

Soleene gave the Tobaga a look over from toe to his helmet. Now, there was a face she didn't see at the event and she liked to think she knew most of the faces (or helmets) at the wedding. At the moment, an unknown Mandalorian helmet was more suspicious than welcoming.

Nevertheless, she did give him a nod in return. "Hey. And I sure hope so, it would be interesting to see how they could swing a crowd like this."

If someone was going to be at a meeting near Manny, they were going to be offered a fistbump. That was just how things worked. He looked at her, raising his hand for the bump. "Hey, how's it going? Manny Donos, magician slash pilot. Basically, whatever you need. Oh, unless you need cookies, in which case she's got you." He jerked a thumb at the Twi'lek.

He also waved at the Mandos, especially the one he'd seen before. He was pretty sure, anyway.

He looked back to the robot. "Hey, FX, was that a present you had?" His eyebrows went up. "Is it your birthday or something?"

The droid beeped in the negative.

This unit brought a gift for the party in honor of the new baby-class human's successful development and biological functions. It was informed that not all parties required presents. This necessitated some schematic updates.

The panel begins to slide open.

This unit considered that it was unlikely that this gathering qualified as a party, and was alarmed to discover that some guests have brought presents of nutrition. This unit's present, which it has retained in case a party should develop, is not nutritious. This unit suspects that some breach of social contract has occurred.

A two-toned beep followed, the first beep much higher than the second.

She likewise frowned; confused at meeting a fist instead of a palm. At least it wasn't busy punching her. Either way, they moved past that and then... oh. Cards. She frowned again.

"Depends, is this a scam? Put down some creds then pick your card type of deal?"
