Welcome to Bellionas [D1| MM-LM]
Posted: Tue May 04, 2021 3:22 am
Event Type: Simple - Checkpoint
Participants: Everyone who comes onto Bellionas through the spaceport. [Mandatory]
Timeslot: Mid-Morning [First 5 Players] to Late Morning [Everyone Else]
Stepping down the ramp from the ferry your sight takes in the crowds of people in the spaceport, many of which came from this very ship. Off to the side Talzian can be seen helping folks with larger luggage get it from the ships holds. As he sees off each group with a happy smile their cargo is watched over by a few stormtroopers as they bring them over toward a checkpoint. With other troopers organizing the crowds and moving them toward the checkpoint as well.
At the checkpoint beings are organized into lines to keep the flow moving forward. Troopers here watch the lines for any suspicious activity and officers make the rounds to visually verify things are proceeding according to plan as well as keeping their eyes out for any known Imperial targets. All the while the lines move at an average pace which is slower than most would prefer. There are some disruptions as the occasional individual is brought off into the security offices to be asked further questions about their travel.
However, once through, an individual is freed into whatever business they came to Bellionas to achieve.
Event:
Rolling a Despair at any point in this event will cause you to be pulled aside for further questioning. Please make a separate thread titled [Character Name Questioning] and then alert a GM.
Stage One: Avoiding notice.
Checks during this stage are made at Average Difficulty, Non-humans upgrade the difficulty of this check once.
(Human: 2eD, Non-human: 1eC + 1eD)
Keep Your Head Down: Using your Stealth Skill you manage to avoid notice when they scan through the crowds.
Stay Cool: Knowing how to keep calm with your Cool Skill you manage to act natural as the Stormtroopers scan through the crowds enough that they pay you no mind.
If you Succeed on Stage One you do not need to proceed to Stage Two and may continue on with your day. Naturally, if you fail this first step you must move on to Stage Two.
Stage Two: Playing it off.
Checks during this stage are made at Hard Difficulty, Non-humans upgrade the difficulty of this check once.
(Human: 3eD, Non-human: 1eC + 2eD)
Keep em' Talkin': When the chips are down you know how to use your Charm Skill and people please with the best of them.
Pretty Little Lies: Thanks to your Deception Skill you know that when questions start coming at you sometimes the truth is best left behind, lies tickle the ear nicer anyway.
More Trouble Than You're Worth: One thing plagues anyone who has to handle other people as a course of their work, folk with the Coercion Skill that know being a nuisance is the best way to get you along quicker.
If you succeed this check you may continue on with your day without worry. Otherwise you are taken in for additional questioning and screening and should act as described above as if you rolled a Despair.
