Do You Wanna Slice A Terminaaaal? (D5, LM)

So all they had to do was to find a terminal that Jyr could slice into and check the vessel's signature? Seemed easy enough. Right?

Concealing her face with the headwrap and the cloak keeping her armor covered up, Raven at least accompanied the "librarian" for the task. In case things got messy.

With her slicing gear safely in a normal looking backpack and looking more or less like your average citizen, Jyrvess accompanied the definitely not an armored killer in a poncho and scarf to the spaceport.

They paused at the edge to take a quick look before committing.

Throughout the spaceport there were a number of smaller terminal locations in booths that could give them access to what they needed. Scouting one out that would be unoccupied however.. that was the trick.

Being taller than Jyrvess', Raven could give some pointers from her higher vantage point.

Jyrvess was careful to check her surroundings. She tapped Raven, "Hey...over there what does that look like." The ex-spy was catching the sight of something in the crowds but her vantage point was low.

Turning her head in the right direction, Raven watched... then nodded. "A terminal, it seems. We might have an opening."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"I hope you don't take this the wrong way but...." Jyrvess smiled, "I think you are better at opening a path then I am."

[Raven Cadera]

The smirk glinted in her eyes and she began to move towards the target. Raven had plenty of experience of walking in a manner that would make others give way to her, in the way that people usually tried to gauge if they should move out of the way or not... and with her it was best to move out of the way. Broad shoulders and a bigger frame needed more space.

It left a nice little wake behind her that let Jyr move unhindered too.

Jyrvess followed, trying not to look like some big wig taking advantage of a 'definitely not a Mandalorian in a flimsy disguise' bodyguard. Fortunately it was not too far.

Stepping around Raven, Jyr took a quick look around. "Alright, try to block line of sight to me....without looking like you are blocking line of sight."

"Err, I mean try to look casual."

[Raven Cadera]

"Block casual," Raven chuckled, finding a good spot to stand in front of Jyrvess and pretending to look at the holo-screens for announcements and news.

Spotting a good terminal, they made their approach through the crowd. With Raven keeping watch Jyrvess gets to work. A few stormtroopers patrol down the way but with the people milling about they don't seem to take notice.. yet..

With the space open, normally watched by security, there's a small office space that Jyrvess can enter into with a clear terminal to search the records. She'd just need that time to slice in.

Being a tall and (secretly) armored individual, it was hard to completely blend in... but it wasn't a disaster.

The troopers down the way seemed to notice Raven, but not Jyr. Rather than approaching quickly they took the moment to chat amongst themselves first.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyrvess focused on the terminal and was inside the security in barely any time. Mindful of their exposed position, the librarian was a little sloppier then usual. She just hoped it wouldn't be too obvious to the technical security team, should they check.

"Might not have much time," Raven commented without looking in Jyr's direction, seeing the troopers coming their way. "Approaching, but slowly. Let me know if you need more time."

It was taking time but Jyrvess was certain she was on the right track..

Almost too much time, as Raven saw the troopers were getting much closer now but Jyrvess wasn't quite finished. Without something to stop or stall them they might run out of time!

Seeing the need to stall for a little more time, Raven sprung into action!

... Which meant approaching the stormies, giving them a wave to show she had seen them. "Hey... sorry, do you have a moment?" Raven put on her best I'm a little lost at the moment-tone.

[Meiyokashi]

They both stopped in front of her, each looking to her and then one another. One on the left, "You're obstructing," he said harshly, while the other started to move to walk around her.

[Raven Cadera]

"Oh, sorry. Here, let me get out of the wa---!" Being the ever so helpful civilian she was, Raven was of course overly eager to help the Empire's finest in complying.

So eagerly that she totally and accidentally tripped into both of them, as happens when people move in the same direction trying to bypass eachother.

Manny would've been proud of this.

"Oh no, oh gosh. I'm so sorry!"

A stunning success- because no one would believe that someone would willingly trip in all of that armor. Falling into both of them the whole trio came tumbling down onto the hard floor of the spaceport in quite the mess. One of the troopers even screamed...

Definitely going to be at least a little sore in the morning Raven, and the troopers, would have to wriggle a little to get back to their feet. With the troopers doing their part and reprimanding her severely for her clumsiness.

Meanwhile..

Jyrvess is able to learn more about the ship in question. It's a fresh arms supply for the local garrison that's supposed to arriving here in a couple of weeks. Within the system she's able to determine the flight-path through the other stops being made and Imperial flight protocols. So long as everything remains on schedule, and knowing the Empire it will be, Jyrvess knows exactly where the ship will be.. but when Carid and his team might hit it is another story altogether.
