The Good Doctor [Day 10, Heroic Opportunity, Late Evening]

Out in the distance the sun begins to set, the colors of the sky shifting as space over the water has all but gone near completely dark. Rain poured down in a torrent all over the city and here especially, where rushing waves crash against the port-side locale. All along either side of the long bridge toward the eventual goal of a waiting lamda-class shuttle Imperial stormtroopers gather around the VIP and her entourage as they exit from the white and comfortable interior of the spaceport and into the dark greys of the harsh metal-work architecture of the port.

All along the walk there's plenty more troopers standing guard and watching for any signs of trouble.

[Event Details:]

This event is for Five People, combat focused, to try and save Petra and possible eliminate Dr. Novar.
Heroic Opportunity: A Heroic Opportunity event is one in which the characters are facing against significant odds, and are risking death or capture should they fail as an expected outcome.

[Five PC's may join this thread, mind it is a dangerous encounter and some have shown interest in prior planning thread.]

Holding her rifle passively in hand Commander Talcik looks down the bridge, water rushing down over her helmets visor. Sleek black armor with the tools for both air and vacuum combat she looks between her people and the stormtroopers interspersed within. Shifting, she looks to Dr. Novar struggling with the rain and her prisoner nearly unbothered by it the orange Imperial prisoner jumpsuit, shock-cuffs and collar both to keep the rather unruly guest tame for escort. "All checks?" she says over the comm, each reporting back positive.

Together the group sets off, four stormtroopers to each of their escorts as they walk with Talcik and one of her people leading the groups from the front and a third member of her team leading up from the back. Among the stormtroopers there's a lower officer to each group, the one by Petra has a recognizable head of curly red hair to some. Keeping her eyes forward she focuses on her assigned task of escorting the prisoner.

With a wave Sera leads her group up behind one of the supply containers, rain soaking her outfit through and through as she readies a blaster pistol at her side. Looking around the side she marks how Novar and her people have already started moving down the walk toward the transport. Back to the group she looks among them, "If you can keep them busy.. I think I can get ahead of them and get to Petra. I.. I just need the cover, this is our shot, and now's the time to back out if this looks too bloody I won't hold it against you," she says, her expression serious but that glimmer of understanding of how dire it is.

Present on the bridge currently there are six stormtrooper minion groups. Four of them are groups of 2, and 2 are groups of four.

Minions 1-4 are groups of two, each along the edge of the bridge watching over the VIP's passage. Groups 1 and 2 are at Medium from the PC's entry point. While Groups 4 and 5 are at Long, nearer to the transport. Currently the Transport is at Extreme.

Novar and Petra are flanked by Minion's 5 and 6, which are both groups of 4 each and cannot be interacted with until these minions are cleared. These groups are at Medium + 1.

Talcik and each of her people surround this central and main two groups, they are also currently "Medium + 1"

Players are currently at Medium/Medium+1 because they need to get up onto the bridge prior to being able to get a good angle from which to fire/fight at least.

Deonis joined the field as well fully armored and ready to go sword on his back black metal cylinder hanging from his hip. He had spent some time and money preparing for this fight, a faint whirring noise accompanied his movements and he nodded to the group.

"Good day for a rescue." he said unclipping the cylinder in preparation.

Sholua was in all black, form fitting armour the same colour showing where it wasn't covered by clothing at the wrists, neck and ankles. She had scanner goggles over her eyes and her belt held her holstered blaster pistol, stormsaber, stims, comm, climbing gear and even a datapad securely tethered to it. Across her back was the ancient archaic sword, hilt sticking over one shoulder as she crouched to view the scene.

"Few more tinheads than I expected."

Sol has a staff mounted on his back, but has gone to his standard sword and shield for the moment, this new Mando style helmet glinting.

"You, you just know that more of them are ready to pop out soon. My guess is that they pop into position and flank us the moment they think we are good targets."

Sol looks around the group. "If I am going to die, I can think of worse ways to go than surrounded by a fellow shield-brother and other warriors of the Force."

Sera gives the nod and they launch into action. However, Talcik is a keen-eyed and ever vigilant commander, acting fast she looks to her troopers surrounding Novar, "Contact- get Novar to the Transport!" she commands pointing them ahead as she lowers herself into a combat stance. Meanwhile, her other counterpart at the back of the group rushes up to the side of the bridge and takes some cover.

[Triumph Maneuvers:]

Talcik uses tactical direction on Minion 5.
Minion 5 then moves Dr. Novar one closer toward the Transport and is now currently at Long from the party.
Asze uses her maneuver to take cover, granting her 2 Ranged Defense.

[Minor Edit and Clarification: I labeled Minion as the target but it was Minion 5. 5 is with Novar, 6 is with Petra. 3 and 4 are the two guard groups at the far end. 1 and 2 are the one's close by.]

Bronnik flags down a couple of the troopers, raising a hand and making a circular gesture in the air with his index finger he pushes forward on the contact. Coming up to the side where he can aim down on the group he lays in with his light repeating blaster, a heavy torrent of blaster bolts sizzling through the rain as they strike hard against the plated J-Richo with a devastating volley!

J-Richo gets hit by the enemy gunner's first attack, grunting as the heavy plasma penetrates the chitin of his armor, but braces and takes the second shot like it was nothing and surged forward to get in close and personal before pointing the weapon at his face.

Richo's counter volley did not do much beyond being a distraction for him to take off and his team but it was a good one.

Under the cover of fire from the troopers, Phroth charged forward. Moving into combat position.

He saw the group that was carrying off Petra. Reaching Out through the Force, Marking them for Death, he aimed steadily, and a blast lanced free from the spear. It went sailing wide, but caused some chaos.

"Petra, run!" He roared out.
