Terminal to Nowhere [Day 11, MA]

Standing amid the crowds within the spaceport a single figure would blend in utterly if it wasn't for the fact that she was standing completely still among the throngs who knew what they were doing. Standing there she looks around, watching the comings and goings with an interest that is uncommon in a woman her age but alike that of a child viewing the world for the first time. Her robes are dark and conceal many of her features save for her face at her nose and below.

Should he be here? Probably not but he felt somehow that he should be. He wore a cloak covering his own large form, a black cloak heavier than it had any right being but it was the only thing he had that could properly obscure his frame and features. HE wasn't wanted, publicly at least, but still was likely unwise to be walking openly through the city.
he drew up next to the woman but said nothing at first just watching how she took in her surroundings.

"It's marvelous, isn't it?" she spoke, her voice was harsh and dark. Crossing her arms behind her back she looks up to him. Deonis can see from the angle her chalk white skin, enough to possibly suggest Rattataki but certainly not enough to confirm. On her bottom lip there is a metal ring pierced through it and freshly done. As she looks to him her face is youthful but sports and unseemly wicked and crooked smile.

Deonos looks down at this woman, familiar in a way but he knew wno Rattataki or similar looking species. His eyes glowed under the hood points of yellow light peering through the darkness "I suppose it is." He responded slowly not sure what to make of her quite yet.

"So... timid, for a being of your stature," she remarks, looking him over from underneath the hood. Dark eyes beneath there was nothing outwardly visible in return but he could feel the piercing of her gaze. A crooked smile once more she looks out over the terminal, the people.
"So many.. with their own insignificant lives. Problems they believe are more important than any other. It is a shame that nothing ever truly appears to change, isn't it? That we mortals will always struggle the same struggles again and again till eternity drives us from existence. Or, we ultimately do ourselves."

"Restraint is not timidness." He said more firmly "lives are not so insignificant. Complex. A tapestry of experience. We cannot know the depth of a life as they pass by. Most may be normal. Any of them could be extraordinary." He responded
"you seem to think life is pointless." He remarks raising an eyebrow ridge."

"No.." she looks around, watching a young human woman speak with an elder Pantoran. Imperial troopers walk over, influenced by their hate to harass the two. Their reasons are not something Deonis feels he should know so readily and yet he does.
"I do not believe that life is pointless. Rather, I am merely disappointed that so many find themselves incapable of mustering toward a purpose of even a mere mote of significance. This galaxy is old.. and our advancements have mattered so little. Even now we face the same conflict which has ever expanded across the millennia," she sighs.

He looks around his ridges furrow in confusion at the Insight he didn't think he should have. He thought about her words for a moment "But who are you to decide what has significance?" He asked "family, legacy, serving a community, helping people. People do these things all the time. Who are you to say their contributions don't matter?"
He probably thought like her at one point, probably believed that people's loves were pointless and spent doing nothing of value. Annoyance at her hubris was rising but anger did not yet touch his voice "who even are you?" He asked getting a feeling he might already know but it seemed impossible.

"I am-" she hesitates, her expression shifts as she glances down a moment. "I am not certain yet. I am, who I am. Yet, a being needs a name does it not? I will decide eventually I think.. once I have witnessed this galaxy enough," she says, looking back up to him a curl of a smile at her lips. Regarding him a moment as she ponders his initial question.
Turning so that she faces him more fully she gives a wave of her hand toward the crowds, "A woman works her whole life building a family- and the war between the Sith and Jedi claim them all in a brutal conflict. Serving a community? Which one- the one that was burned down by marauding warriors beset on eliminating all which is upon their path. Helping people? What does it mean to help people? One day, you push a man out of the road so that he is not hit by a racing speeder and yet- several years later he murders a family of five. Significant to them, perhaps, but even such things as these are long forgotten," she crosses both arms behind her back once more.
"I know of the most heroic sacrifices, the most brutal murders, things which have impact lasting on all around to the point one might suggest the thought that it will have waves which matter across all time. Yet- here we are," she looks around the terminal. "How many people even know about the genocide of your very people?" she asks, raising her head just enough he can make out the piercing bead of her eyes underneath.

He listens impassively to the tirade about time and consequences. It was after all really just more of the same nihilism, in the end nothing matters, deeds are forgotten. He can understand the sentiment even if he disagrees with it.
As she mentions his people yellow eyes grow wide "you know what I am? H-how? No one I have met has known."

Smiling growing, ever more crooked than before. Youthful looks corrupted by a menace which is old and ancient, "You have not met one such as me before, I assure you. Had you- you would not be so naïve. Worry not, you needn't attempt to prove to me you are not. I fear most beings in this galaxy will not meet to being even near half my equal when it comes to experience," she smiles, regarding Deonis for a moment.
A brief sigh, "I am glad your kind still persevere, however it is you have. Last.." she shakes her head, a grimace, "I recall the wars all too well. What they did with their beliefs, pursuit of a cause they believed they understood. Warriors claiming the side of good and light laying waste to all. Committing genocide as if it was Just," she hisses. Pausing to collect herself the even darkness of her tone returning. "But- I know more of you than you would even find comfortable. Anashis Harik," her smiles curls with passive menace once more.

That manner of speaking, that feeling of corruption and malice he had felt it before, really felt it. As she spoke his true name, no his old name, his pulse sky rocketed he hissed involuntarily and a hand went under his cloak to wrap around cold black metal "you!" He spat the words.
"What did you do to Tyllia?" His voice dripped menace and venom and his eyes glowed brighter under the hood.

With a devilish smirk she raises her hand and Deonis feels as if time is moving slower for a moment. Waving the hand by his face, over the space where his eyes are, the chalk white skin of her hand appears mesmerizing. "Calm," she speaks. Without apparent cause the anger which once washed through his system like a raging storm was immediately quelled and quieted. Passivity overcame him with a force that was unnatural, but which he would only realize later. How unnatural it was.
"Tyllia has.. what she wanted. My old saber, and.. perhaps some regret. So long as she did not fall to the swamp she should live still," she smiles, stepping forward and placing a hand on his arm. Reassuring him of his worries, which only seems too effective in his current state. "In the moment of completing our deal she fell for a trick- a trap, she failed to grasp that I am ever watching when I inhabit a host and even the briefest of thoughts are not hidden from me. I offered her a chance to not betray me and she did not take it, but such users of the force are ever so lacking in foresight of their actions. Believing they can simply possess that which they desire," she says, shaking her head. Stepping back away from Deonis she regards him again.

His anger vanished like a pool of water flash boiled into steam, he honestly should be mad, he didn't trust the spirit, it had used them. Tried to break his will. But that didn't seem to matter at the moment his hand released the saber and he regarded her with calm eyes dimming once again "Tyllia helped you? Tried to trick you but ended up helping you." He nodded.
Something, a small something in the back of his mind recoiled from her touch but the rest of him wasn't sure why he should feel that way "So what will you do now? With your new freedom?" He asked looking to her with some interest.

"Explore," she says, with a greatness to her levity at the assertion. Alike to her suddenly feeling the wind underneath her wings again there is a passive mirth to it that's almost intoxicating if she wasn't so menacing. Tilting her head she regards Deonis for some time more. Looking to the people passing by, how they marched on.
"I have so many millennia to catch up on. An entirely shifted system to relearn, but.. even from looking at this spaceport I fear I will only be connecting much to the past once more. Seeing only the barest suggestion of shifts in the changes this galaxy has undergone," she shakes her head, "but I digress. Someday.." she looks to him, eyes meeting eyes, "someday we may meet again, Deonis Harik. On such a day I hope you will remember me. I hope you will remember that when I offer an exchange- it is not wise to attempt to betray me. A deal is a deal, and it would be upheld to the very last word."

Deonis nodded feeling strange calm but strange "I am not one for deception." He said simply to her "I also don't trust you. Wouldn't make a deal."
"If you leave will this planet start returning to balance? Your influence made the dark very powerful. Will it leave with you?"

"No.. the corruption is here to stay, but," she steps forward. Pulling down her hood the bald head of the Rattataki and the many piercings she wore, some very fresh, which adorned her face came into view. Facial markings of red predominant but other colors as well. Reaching her hands up to either side of his face she holds him there a moment with that menacing smile.
"Do you feel for this planet?"

"I.....wish to bring some balance to it. Yes." He replied feeling that same split brain of a small voice raging to pull away but his mind not comprehending why. Akin to a prey ani.al hypnotized by a predator.

"Perhaps.. perhaps once my presence was the tumor which afflicted this planet. Yet, you are lift with the sickness in my wake. Patience.. patience would have once done much, but you must understand the Force greater than you do now," she brushes the sides of his temples, peering into his eyes for that flicker of understanding as she continues. "The Force. It is not light, it is not dark. It simply is.. alike to a being of which we are all a part. Sides created once to align one group against another but it is.. far far more complicated than the prattling dogma of either the Sith or the Jedi."
"What they refer to as the dark-side of the force.. it does corrupt, alike a festering wound. And alike a festering would it must be mended with great care to return to the balance. Yet- in all of the stumbling of you lot who wished upon it what you desired, none thought to look.. greater, to the expansive nature of what the force truly is. Even the Jedi and their teachings do not see the rather simple solution to help stem the tide.." she laughs, very briefly, it's crackly and almost old.
"Heal the woes of the people, you heal the planet, and in turn you heal the affliction of the corruption. You will return it to balance in this way," she says, brushing her hands down from his temples to either side of his eye. "There is no beast to slay. Demon to kill. Just a wound needed tending.. balance, as you claim to seek."

He nodded along with her words, he felt similarly about the force that light and dark were meaningless titles used to back harmful dogma. He still didn't trust her but maybe she wasn't all bad.
He listened to her and thought for a moment "So we foster the good. Help the people heal. Give them hope. And balance will be restored." He summarized as he understood her words.
