Old Friends [D3EE, The Cave]

[Manny Donos]

Food, drink, an old friend... or at least a guy who once paid him a lot of money. This was shaping up to be an awesome evening!

Manny quietly strolled into the bar, wearing his normal clothing, no extra shininess. Squinting into the dim light, he looked around for Jarvis. Had his old... broguy snagged a booth already? Gotten drinks? Ordered a round of appetizers? Manny could only hope!

[Sholua Tempes]

There was a Mirialan he knew at the bar though, except she wasn't expecting him and had no idea who Jarvis was.

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

Heading back to the stage from her two minute pause at the bar to get something throat-clearing and coordinate where, if anywhere, Sholua wants a set, Dhel spots Manny and makes a short detour. Drink in one hand, her other quickly pats at his vest in three or four spots. "Just reminding you where the eggs are this time!" She says before clicking away in her low-heeled sandals toward the stage.

[Manny Donos]

Manny grinned at that. "Hey, I know... yeah, okay. Thanks, Dhel." He looked at her for a moment. "Hey, come by when you're done." He called after her as she walked away.

There was a Mirialan he knew at the bar though, except she wasn't expecting him and had no idea who Jarvis was.

"Ayyyyyyyyy!" Manny waved to her, and then, after considering for a moment, gave an inviting jerk of his head.

[Sholua Tempes]

Sholua smiled and sauntered over.

"Oh hi, Cutey! Come to watch Honey sing again?"

[Manny Donos]

Manny grinned. "Hey, Shoula. Nah... well, yeah, actually, but that's not all I'm here for."

He glanced around. "Actually, I'm meeting this guy I used to know. He does a bit of business, if you know what I mean. Eh? Eh?" He waggled his eyebrows at her. "You want in? I'll vouch for you, no problem. We're a crew now." He nodded firmly.

[Jarvis]

Jarvis was not there yet, surprisingly. However, it wasn't long before he arrived and showed up. He kept to his normal look in this place, smiling around and looking at the fairly attractive location. Nice atmosphere, at least. Looks to be a musical place. Making his way over to the bar, he approaches Manny with a warm smile him and the woman he was with. "Well, well, Manny. Look at you, making new friends on a new planet." He extends his hand to Manny and firmly grasps it. "Hopefully you've not been making too much trouble. Sorry I'm a touch late. Had a few things to finalize before we had to meet."

[Sholua Tempes]

Sholua gave Jarvis a welcoming smile as she draped herself all over Manny's left side. She also looked for the tell tale bulge of weaponry and the like and if anyone else had entered at the same time or was now taking undue notice of their conversation.

"Why don't you do some introductions, Cutey?"

[Manny Donos]

"Hey, Jarvis! No problem!" Manny shook the man's hand, face showing only the faintest regret that it wasn't a fist bump. "How've you been? I..."

"Ulp!" He was briefly interrupted as he found himself suddenly half-covered in Miralian; in fact, she might noticed that he had a concealed pistol. No innuendo - it was well-hidden for a right handed cross body draw. No doubt with a flourish.

Manny wasn't totally devoid of moves; he put his arm around Sholua's waist. "Sholua, this is Jarvis. Jarvis, this is Sholua. We're all in a crew now!" He beamed enthusiastically. "So hey, you know, you can say whatever you'd say to me to her, too."

"Hi Jarvis."

Her own pistol was very visible as her jacket hung open. Fortunately for Manny it was on her left side so he didn't have a Type 44 jabbing him in the ribs.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyrvess had her own business in the bar, but her attention was caught by the sight of Jarvis...and the improbable sight of Manny with two women at the same time. She had to contemplate approaching the small group. On the one hand Jarvis meant money...and her efforts would end up needing more...on the other hand Jarvis meant trouble...and she definitely didn't need any more of that.

In the end she felt a pang of guilt, Manny was basically her friend and the poor fool would likely end up dead or jail if she left him to a man like Jarvis.

"Mr. Jarvis." Her eyes slipped from him to the other three, "And Manny, and...friends?" She took a moment to study the two ladies, wondering if a monetary transaction explained their presence. And who of Jarvis and Manny had made the transaction.

[Manny Donos]

"Ayyyyyy, Jyr!" Manny gave Jyr a finger-gun greeting with his free hand. "Glad you could make it. You remember our old bud Jarvis. He's here on Bellionas, too! Can you believe it?" She probably couldn't, but Manny didn't quite understand that.

He nodded towards the green woman he seemed to be exchanging some limbs with. "Jyr, this is Sholua. We met the other day. She and Dhel, oh, that's Dhel," he nodded towards the Bothan taking the stage, "-are gonna stay on the ship a bit. Sholua, this is Jyr, the super smart friend I told you about." Manny grinned; friends meeting friends was great!

[Sholua Tempes]

"Hi Jyr."

There was the appraising look between them as Sholua tried to see if Jyr meant anything to Manny in certain ways.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Well with an introduction like that..." Jyrvess pressed her lips into a thin line, then sighed. "Jyr-*vess* Ertil," She relaxes and more politely adds, "A pleasure Miss Sholua," There is a pause a slight quirk of eyebrow when she says Miss, leaving an unspoken 'or is it Mrs'. Her eyes shift to the Bothan, but only gave her a polite nod.

Her assessment was shifting, the dynamics of the Manny's new relationship was forming. Monetary exchange was still on the table, the exact nature remained murky.

[Manny Donos]

Smiling, Manny looked back and forth between old friend and new, his expression cheerfully affable. Hurray, friends!

"The three of us got dinner at Correlian Run last night!" Manny added. "It was pretty great. The main dish we had was this blue bird. I mean, its meat was blue. Blue! Isn't that wild?" He grinned at Jyr, wondering if she'd be impressed.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"...expensive." Jyrvess nods slowly, the picture was coming into focus, "Being a gentleman you treated the both of them I take it."

[Sholua Tempes]

"He certainly did."

She gave Jyr an even look, perhaps even a little respect.

"But now we see what Jarvis wants, and if we can help him."

[Jarvis]

"Hi Jarvis."

"Manny was always the type to make friends with such..." He couldn't help but notice how pressed into Manny. "Friendly people. Pleasure is all mine, Miss Shoula." After which, someone that he at least recognized came into play. "Ahh, Jyrvess. Good to see you again. Been some time, of course. Too long, in my opinion." He smiles at the woman and nodded. "See you've been keeping a eye on the kid. Good to see that. Just was about to explain to Manny here what brought me up Bellionas today. Seems to be doing alright on his own, treating women like a gentlemen should, so says miss Shoula here." He paused and looked on. "

"I do really appreciate you taking the time out to meet me, by the way." Jarvis grinned with a smirk. "Fine crew you're assembling too, I will say. Hope all your other friends are doing alright; feel I don't keep in touch with everyone enough."

He leans in a bit closer. "So, as I was saying, came here for a bit of work. Honest work, no less. Be a big hero by the end of it, if you play your cards right."

[Manny Donos]

Manny grinned. "Hey, you know me! If there's anything I know how to do..." with a flourish, and a muttered whoops, sorry Sholua, Manny pulled out his deck of cards, "-it's play my cards right."

He gestured towards a booth. "You wanna sit down and we can talk about it? Ooh, and we can go splitsies on table appetizers!" Manny nodded eagerly.

[Nara Phln]

"Wooooh! Dhelih! D-H-E-L-I-H....B-L-U-E! What does quality singing with a low door charge mean to me?"
Nara had started throwing credits like ninja stars when the Bothan's song reached a crescendo
"You're the best singer tonight, everyone else sucks!"

Ignoring the glares of about half the room Nara headed back to the bar where she was surprised to see Manny and several others huddled in deep conversation. She respected their privacy for about half a second before sticking her head into the group.

"Hey Manny! Hey Manny's...I dunno, but hey none the less. Now if you're all having a private conversation because she."
Pointing at the green lady
"Doesn't want to see you again because you're cheating on her with some hoe you met in the upper city."
Pointing at Jarvis
"And you're trying to play peacemaker because you know despite being an adulterer he does provide for your sister-in-law"
Gesturing at Jyrvess
"Then I apologise and wish you all well in rebuilding your fractured relationships. But if not....are we doing crime? Because I love crime. Not for crime's sake, you know? But because it leads to things I enjoy.

Also Manny and I are like, friendly acquaintances and he told me to get here but I got distracted by the entertainment."
