(D6, ME The Cave) Singin' in the (almost) Rain

"Training is important, don't get me wrong, but as you say it's proper battle that truly puts us to the test. Merely training with an ally or on your own doesn't really challenge you as a warrior." Unless you had teachers who beat the snot out of you until you somehow managed to get better, but that wasn't really productive teaching either.

"Hardly makes it a surprise then, that the droid army mostly lost during the Clone Wars against the clones and the Jedi. Programming just doesn't compare to a warrior's intuition in a fight."

She didn't seem the type to strut around in next to nothing either, not that he was going to say that out loud.

"Will do, may not be in the next day or so but i'll let ya know. Just sending a meassge at the motel the best way?"

“I’m there every night. Still haven’t settled in anywhere else. Don’t know if I’ll need to actually...” she replied.

“Boss is moving on and I don’t know if I’m to go with her or stay.”

"Shipmate, huh?" Korvin asks with curiosity, trying not to be entirely distracted by Dhel's proximity. "Sounds like there's a story there." He smiles politely, and makes sure he has an arm around Dhel.

"There is. A bucket of tips, a raw egg, two posters and a film about Wookiee skeleton punching."

She looked at Dhel.

"I think that covers the high points."

Dhel laughs. "Yeah, it does. Reminds me, I want to see some of the other Rawrbacca films sometime."

To Korvin, she adds, "Manny tossed one of his eggs instead of a credit chip on accident. Goo all over the tips. We made him take us out to dinner to make up for the mess, and we kind of talked about joint performance and got invited to stay on the ship." She shakes her head..."definitely not something I ever predicted. Then there's Leah and Phroth. It'd be crowded if we all were on anything like the same schedule. But still, doesn't feel as crowded as staying with my sibs, so I'm not complaining."

Dhel laughs. "Yeah, it does. Reminds me, I want to see some of the other Rawrbacca films sometime."

Korvin smiles in an uncomfortable and overwhelmed kind of way. After a couple of nods, and seemingly failed attempts at words, he manages to come up with, "So you're... living on a ship. With the egg guy." He closes his eyes for a moment. "Well that's, uh... Ok." He takes a deep drink from the glass in front of him, seeming to have rediscovered it just as he needed it.

"Yeah. Have you met Manny yet? He keeps getting tangled up with other stuff and not dropping in here to do a show."

"Oh right, I was going to try that one," Dhel murmurs as he grabs the drink. Instead of reaching for it afterward though, she tips her head up, brushing one finger along Korvin's jaw in clear invitation for a kiss.

"Um." He sets the drink down. He leans in for the kiss, but it's half-hearted by Korvin's usually passionate standard.

"I don't think I have. Would probably remember," he says, voice turning grumbly. He tries to reset himself with a sharp exhale. "So, it's a... kinda big ship, huh?"

[Carden Willhol]

"That's quick, but I suppose that's the life sometimes." Carden replied, takign a sip of his drink.

"Any particular reason you'd want to stay though? Instead of just moving on with the current boos?"

"Um." He sets the drink down. He leans in for the kiss, but it's half-hearted by Korvin's usually passionate standard.

Detecting . . . teenage angst, Sholua stepped in.

"Big enough for a cabin each. Even for Too Many. You should come visit. The egg cuisine available is . . . in large amounts."

"Ok," Korvin says noncommittally. Sho's comment seems to let him relax slightly, but he still looks at Dhel expectantly.

"That's quick, but I suppose that's the life sometimes." Carden replied, takign a sip of his drink.

"Any particular reason you'd want to stay though? Instead of just moving on with the current boos?"

“No particular reason to stay other than not being needed by my boss.”

Dhel licks her lips, catching the taste of the drink that way, but definitely noting his distraction.

"Yeah, I think you'd remember Manny and his eggs if you'd met. Ship's small compared to the passenger ships I've been on, but it's been forever since I had my own room, so it doesn't feel small." She offers a one-armed shrug, the other arm still tucked around his waist. "And as Sholua says, there's plenty to go around there. Between the eggs and Phroth's massive piles of fishy things. You want to come by if we do another movie night?"

"Blue Sunrise here'll always be welcome on the ship."

She grinned and waved at the bar for her usual beer.

"Hope you like eggs."

[Korvin Hikarrin]

Korvin seems to relax to normal, even the small shrug movement helping to ground him. And the nickname gets a combination of the Pantoran's eyes narrowing in puzzlement and his mouth going to an easy smile, sensing that a nickname he doesn't understand is better than none at all.

"Uh, of course. Movie. Meeting your other friends. That's great," he seems relieved now, though still less calm than is usual for him.

"The wookie skeleton skeleton punch one was pretty fun." She reaches for his drink, lifting an eyebrow in silent request for permission.

Glancing across the way, she nods toward Raven. "Maybe Raven'll come stay too if it's not so wildly crowded next time."

[Sholua Tempes]

"I'm warning you though. The sequels aren't even close to the original. There's even one that uses six different wookiee actors for the main role. They're all different heights and fur colours!"

"Jedi are a significant advantage." He noted "rough what the Empire did to the people that helped them defeat the CIS." He said thinking about the way the jedi and clones were treated after the war was won.

He noted the nod from Dhel to Raven "friend of yours?"

"The wookie skeleton skeleton punch one was pretty fun." She reaches for his drink, lifting an eyebrow in silent request for permission.

Glancing across the way, she nods toward Raven. "Maybe Raven'll come stay too if it's not so wildly crowded next time."

Korvin raises his eyebrows in assent, and then chuckles quietly. "I'm always happy to share with you," he says in honest surprise she even "asked."

Smiling now, the young man seems to have mostly reached his normal attitude. Mostly. "Oh, so you have lots of people over? Like, regularly?"

Dhel laughs before taking a drink, brows lifting in silent appreciation of the well-made cocktail. "We definitely need to see that one then. Why would they do that?"

To Korvin's question, she adds. "I don't know that we're organized enough to say we manage it regularly, but sometimes?"

"Jedi are a significant advantage." He noted "rough what the Empire did to the people that helped them defeat the CIS." He said thinking about the way the jedi and clones were treated after the war was won.

He noted the nod from Dhel to Raven "friend of yours?"

"... Yeah, pretty shitty deal overall, it seemed to me. But that's the Empire for ya," she agreed with a sour note, clearly no love lost between her and the Empire.

Also seeing the nod, Raven gave a friendly wave to Dhel. "Mm, you could say that. I'm a fan of her singing, but yeah, I guess we're friends? She's sweet."

"Didn't figure so." He replied with a shake of his head and a smirk.

"Though that feels less like staying and more like being left behind. If that's not saying too much."
