An Unexpected Journey

Jaxom Ursae stared at the wall. It had likely been repainted a few times, but there was a dent near the floor that looked familiar to him. He was fairly certain it was the same wall he'd stared at all those years ago, when he'd left Bellionas. It could just be his imagination, of course. So much of this situation felt familiar.

He\d left because he'd felt he'd been defeated. Things had gone badly and his name had drawn the wrong kind of attention. Bellionas no longer had a place for him. He'd hoped he could go to another planet and make a difference. When your young, you think you can take on the galaxy. But, years had past and Kamda no longer had a place for Jaxom, either.

And now, he was going home.

Heavy cadenced steps where heard a few good moments before the chitin-wearing mandalorian appeared within sight.

Out of boredom J-Richo had resolved to visit the viewing station again so he could notice any attacks on the ship by pirates. Not that he wanted pirates...of course not.

But

If pirates *were* to attack the ship he would not lose the opportunity to call dibs.

His plans where pushed aside momentarily when he saw a human staring at a nearby wall. Curious he moved up to the man and joined in the staring

Is this wall different? Is it a weak point in the hull? Would the pirates blow through here? OH MAN, OH BOY!

He was getting hyped all by himself though there was little indication of it outwardly

A long moment of shared wall observation passed before Jax spoke.

"After all these years, I would think they'd do something about that dent."

The mandalorian looked down and focused on the dent, confused

''The dent? That is what you where looking at?'' he pondered ''I am unsure this dent is of any significance...why are you observing it?''

"I'm pretty sure I was staring at it when I left Bellionas." he shrugged. "I'm wondering what else hasn't changed."

A series of high pitched whoops and whistles could be heard coming around the corner. To those who are able to speak binary, this might sound similar to a popular song about sorrow, only in a much higher tone than usual. However, it is clear to anyone that it is definitely out of key.

Jaxom absently began to hum along, also off key.

It began to dawn on the Toboga that he entirely misunderstood the situation.

''Oh...so it's melancholic staring...I expected...no matter''

Well, that is disappointing...wait where is that binary singing?

He sighed as best he could: he was not the one used to do the talking

''What ails you, human?''

"I'm going home." he shrugged again. "It's probably not the best idea, but I said I'd help. Bellionas was a mess when I left. Republic forces had taken over. I can't imagine things are any better under the Empire."

''Very likely worse'' came the reply as he was trying to see who had started singing...well beeping

''Why is it not the best idea? You have people to help, no?''

"Bellionas is under strict control of the empire. They have the production capabilities to actually be a threat and enough grievances to convince the planet to revolt if the rewards are worth the risk."

''A B-1 battledroid?''

"My name wasn't very popular when I left." he explained. "Both the Republic and the CIS had questions I didn't want to answer. I guess we're all in it together now, though."

"Yeah, the foundry is a big asset."

"Considering your comments, I presume none of you are imperial agents?"

''Fuck no'' the mando replied to the droid, crossing his arms, before looking at the man ''You?''

"Then in case I will use my real identity. I am ICOR-05, I am a sentient b1 battledroid who seeks to pursue it's new primary directive: Find the Jedi and help them kill Sheeve Palpatine. "

"I'm no agent, but one took my bar away." he shook his head. "Well, not my bar."

"Jaxom Ursae."

"From your experience on Kamda, I presume you were part of the rebel forces who took down that star destroyer with the jedi?"

''What?''

Okay, things were moving fast

In minute he was staring at a wall with a moping man now there were talks about destroying flagships.

They were moving fast...but in the right direction
