They were getting close to the destination and Leah was getting restless. She'd walked around the area she had been looking out from quite a few times now, before sighing and deciding to go for a walk elsewhere. Just walking, not really following any direction...until she saw that she was passing by the vehicle storage area.

Hmm...I wonder if...

She couldn't see or hear anything going on inside; might be a quiet spot! Well, as quiet as it could be, the ferry was so loud even inside it. Leah slipped in, looking over each of the stored speeders and other small ground vehicles with curious eyes, trying to work out what each one did, how they worked. Were they for moving things? Joyriding? Were they old or new? It was a mix and it distracted her from being bored and restless. She hadn't heard anyone else nearby, so why not?

His head was down, broad shoulders hunched over as he finished what he was working on. Old papers were beneath the Joben, small little containers of paint strewn about. A brush in a strong, webbed hand. Little detailed strokes as Phroth worked on traditional Karkarodon designs onto the vehicle.

He was silent, almost meditative, as he worked.

There was a small twitch from the lekku, and Leah froze in her tracks. She her a sound that was almost like...scurrying? Brushing? Were there painting rodents in here?

Quietly she crept. Not that she was very good at creeping around. Carefully she peeked around, trying to see where the noise was coming from...

The lines were brilliant, pearlescent white, a stark contrast to the matte navy that the speeder bike was based. The patterns were intricate, bold lines that swired and angled into geometric shapes.

The Karkarodon stood, hands on his waist as he looked over his handiwork. He still had to crane his head down, taller than what the ship was designed for.

Phroth would be grateful for planetfall.

The noise is louder over there!

Shuffle shuffle. Leah peeks over the hood of one of the speeders at where the sound was. It was a bit dark, but she could make out the shape of a very large person.

Is that...Phroth?

She ducked back down and grinned. This would be fun!

Finding something loose on the bottom of the speeder she was hiding behind, she threw it along the floor and quickly moved away from it. It barely moved past the edge of the speeder - she wasn't the strongest after all!

The sound of something, maybe a hydrospanner, clanking along the durasteel plating made the Karkarodon wheel around. Amber eyes focused in the dim lighting, and he bared his teeth. His heart began to race, thoughts of ambush already filling his mind.

Webbed feet moved across the floor, the exposed, pointed claws scraping against the durasteel. Each movement was intentional, his awareness stretching out, a predator looking.

Leah was moving slowly around the speeder as she heard the sound get closer. She wasn't quick, nor was she any good at sneaking, but she thought she could do it.

She waited a few moments....a few seconds...for the sound to get close to where the spanner went. Then she tried to dart for Phroths speeder

Fresh from a reboot, SCaT receives its "first" order to go work on master Hikarrin's speeder bike. Taking a look at the ship's manifest to see which one was his before going into the room proper.

His feet came upon the spanner, a set of webbed toes standing atop it. Phroth knelt, picking up the tool, before looking back up, the sound distracting him for a moment, before looking at the opening door. The instinct to attack, seeing the familiar frame of the B1 series. The distraction of the opening door kept his attention, the tall Karkarodon looking to the droid, not saying anything. Not yet.

Leah made it to the Speeder, not seeing that Phroth wasn't looking at him.

Yeah! Made it! Now what was he doing here...

She tried to move closer to the painting, but didn't see the container which she accidentally knocked over. She froze, looking around for what she hit.

It was only through understanding that one wrong move and the shark man would strike it down and be under no scrutiny that SCaT did not immediately panic like so many of his brothers did during the war. Remembering it is acting like it just had a memory wipe, it takes a monotone neutral voice. "This unit is to make repairs on the scooter in lot A27. My memory drives tell me it is unwise to play in a maintenance bay, let alone not wear any safety equipment where welders are to be used."

"I wouldn't say anyone is playing." His voice was low, and above water, there was that infrasonic frequency that backed his words that could make prey feel nervous of creatures that hunt. The Karkarodon nodded to the droid as he was about to say more...

The crashing sound drew his attention back to the bike, the white pain splattered onto the durasteel plating of the floor... and along the side of the main engine tank. Phroth tilted his head, looking to the lithe form of Leah, breathing in deeply.

"Oh." A chuckle, shaking his head.

"I assume your friend was trying to initiate the 'hide and go seek' with you." Ignoring the infrasonic noise it may or may not have heard, it continues with its advice. "Please either wear polarized face shield or leave while I conduct welding." It waits by the door where the automatic lock and signal would be for their decision.

Leah sighed.

"I was doing so well...stupid paint pot."

she looked at Proth with a sheepish smile.

"Uh...hi."

"Hello, Leah." He towered over her, his gaze soft as he drank in her features.

"Very well, safety precautions advised and not followed. Locking door, safety message applied to door, and . . . Polarized faceshield on." It then moves to the speeder and proceeds to weld together what seems to be damage from rocks pelting the bottom, likely from a risky maneuver around a sharp corner.

"Hey...sorry for the paint mess. I didn't see the paint can. Did i mess up your..whatever it is you're doing?" She squinted to try and see the painting better "how can you even see in here?"

"It wasn't by sight so much by feel. The mess... adds to it. A reminder that not everything is in one's control." He smiled, the the teeth catching the dim light. "You're making it sound like it was on purpose. Did you mean to kick it yourself or did you know I was coming?" Leah said with a chuckle "I guess I was going to come here eventually right? I'm just...how do people fly so much? There's like nothing to do!"
