You promise knowledge, but it is vague and unclear to me what that knowledge would entail. You offer to be an ally, yet treat me as an inferior insect to be squashed beneath your boot if it should bother you. And there is the unspoken but obvious threat that it seems to me that if I were to help you, the power you've given to me... such as this blade... could be reclaimed by you, and I will be left with nothing at all."

"I am not your caretaker to assuage your worries like some child, and I have spoken no deceit. Even when it would have behooved me to do so- I elected instead to.. remain silent. You made your choice to accept me knowing I would not speak of the cost, and I fulfilled all ends of my bargain- but, now I offer you a way out of your own. I was to claim you, your body for my own purposes at a time after your goals were accomplished. However, now I offer a new choice, simpler path with greater potential. That your heart is untrusting of the strength of my word, unwilling to heed what I have already said, it is no fault or problem of mine."

"I offer choices- nothing more. When we made our first deal you wished for greater power, and I gave you a taste- a stronger connection with the Force. I even lent you my saber, as generous as I am. When time comes it will be returned to me, but should you need to fashion a blade of your own? It would be within my power to aid you in finding."

She was silent for a while. Contemplating her response. She was uncertain of how much of her emotions the spirit could sense. Would it know deceit if she engaged in it? Would it even *care*? Perhaps it was worth testing; before she committed to any path.

"Or I could simply ask my master to burn your presence from my soul and keep your saber for myself," she said, lying about her master being alive.

Well. That was...

...interesting?

A problem, to be sure. Another attempt by the spirit to assert itself over her. But also... it did seem as if it hadn't actually caught the lie. So, if that was the case, she could try for *another* lie. Hell, if anything, the spirit's reaction could help sell the lie.

"Okay! *Fine*!" She said after a few moments of frantically searching for the blade, panic slowly seeming to settle in. "I'll help you! Now give it back! I might need it! It's... it'll take time to find a suitable vessel!"

She lied.

Oh, she might in fact help the spirit; if the circumstances would call for it...

...but she was also going to use the time spent finding a vessel to try and figure out some way of burning this thing from her soul. She would play along for now... and then, when the time was right... take *everything* from the spirit.
