"I'll take a Corellian MacPherson Stein."

It was a beer she'd had before, or at least thought it was what she'd had.

"It's here under mains. The Warblerunner. Sluissi . . . isn't that a shipyard?"

[Manny Donos]

The waiter, now having all their drink orders, swooped away again.

"Is it? I don't know the names of any shipyards." Manny said. "Now speeders, I know those. Getting a ship is a pretty recent thing for me. I never really imagined I'd actually have one, you know? Fancy speeders, though, I always wanted one. I guess you know something about ships though, huh?"

"Sure do Cutey, I've done a fair few things the last few years. I know my way around a ship, and the flight controls."

They won't be that much different to an Aethersprite or an Eta II.

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

Dhel knows none of the above, but listens in. You never know what random trivia sparks someone's interest someday. She shakes her head. "I've just...been on a ship or two?" She almost asks why someone who can pilot a ship is dancing Bellionas dives...but then there's Manny, who apparently has a ship, and does egg-related magic tricks at dives. She chalks it up to the vast galaxy and looks back to the menu.

"You think a dish named after a shipyard probably comes from there?"

[Manny Donos]

"Cool!" Manny said, as excited as ever. "We could use someone who knows ship stuff. I mean, Leah helps, but she doesn't really know that sort of stuff either, so we just kinda... fake it, I guess?" He shrugged. "Jyr helps when she's around, but that's only sometimes."

He made a face. "So is it some kind of shipyard bird? Or... maybe they just have some kinda food from them there? That makes sense." Manny nodded. "Back on Kamda, the racetrack was the best place to get these meatrolls. The were delicious! But they weren't very good for you. Any time I ate more than twenty of them, I'd feel really sick afterwards." Manny nodded again, solemnly this time.

"Jyr? Who is Jyr?"

Mention of a new name caught her attention.

"Sluissi kinda hints it came from Sluis Van. Old Separatist world with enormous orbital shipyards. Built a big chunk of their fleet. Imperial now and probably builds even more ships. That all said I know very little about the planet itself."

Dhel also looks interested in hearing about this Jyr person.

But she's also thinking. "Y'know, we have a shipyard here too...think they're like...rivals? Maybe it's a joke dish to poke fun at them? Like it's..." she racks her brain for how fancy food could make fun of shipbuilding. "I don't know...looks like shipwreck? An artistic one?"

[Manny Donos]

"Jyr? She's my... uhhhh... hmmm... wellllllll..." Finally, Manny shrugged. "I help her out with stuff sometimes. And she helps me out with stuff. Like a friend, but with benefits! Math benefits." Yeah, that sounded right. Manny nodded.

"Anyway, if we're all a part of a crew, you'll meet her sooner or later. She... oh!" The waiter swooped in with the drinks. Manny's was large, bright green, and did, in fact, have a crazy straw.

"That's what I'm talking about!" Manny grinned. His eyes crossed as he sucked on the straw, watching the green liquid flow up it.

While Sholua's beer came in an actual stein, with an actual lid. She had not expected that.

"Friends, eh?"

She grinned and gave Manny a nudge with one elbow, making sure not to disturb his drink.

"I do notice your entire 'crew' is female. You're one lucky guy."

She scanned the menu again.

I could get saber parts for less than these entrees.

Even while sucking down alcohol of the purest green, Manny couldn't help but grin. "Yeah." He said, letting his crazy straw go for a moment. "I am pretty lucky. They're both really pretty in totally different ways."

He shrugged, frowning just a little. "But, well, Leah has the shark boyfriend. And Jyr has her work, which is basically like a shark boyfriend, except we don't have to stock as much seafood." He glanced back and forth between the two of them, wondering what it was that they ate, and how much.

"So..." He took a slow sip of his Green. "... any boyfriends?"

Her fizz had some kind of stones? Ice? fizzing away in the bottom of a sunrise-hued drink creating a pinkish froth at the top. Apparently Manny's straw request was considered to apply to all brightly colored fizzy drinks, because Dhel's got the same treatment.

She chuckles as Sholua points out the obvious optics of Manny's ship full of ladies. And then it's her turn to take a long moment sipping her drink while deciding on an answer.

"Only just got back home after a girlfriend dumped me without a ticket home back at Kamda. So...I'm still kind of feeling out the next options." Leaning closer with a knowing grin, she asks, "Why? Are you auditioning for the position?"

"Not for a long, long while . . . "

She ceded the floor to Dhel for a moment, apparently thinking on something. Perhaps Manny had just said something that gave the Mirialan dancer some very deep thoughts.

Manny hadn't really had much of a chance to flirt since becoming a captain. And before that, well, Hi there, I'm a homeless street magician did not tend to get many ladies answering his calls. So someone actually seeming interested was something Manny had no idea how to respond to. Quick, pull out an egg! His hand went to the inside of his jacket, and then Manny remembered that he didn't have any eggs.

"Uhhhh... who me?" Manny grinned a little manically, shrugging. "I mean, I'm not saying that I'm not interested in some sort of boyfriend position, but, well, maybe it's just good to know if someone has a boyfriend so that I know if I need to stock a bunch of seafood or something, and actually I need to pick some more up, but you know, also, maybe we're watching the playoff games..." the sexiest of the games, Manny was sure he didn't need to explain that, "-and Antilles scores the game winning three-pointer and the crowd goes wild and we're waving our foam fingers and, y'know, something happens..."

Manny shrugged, swallowing. "I mean, that'd be cool, I guess."

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

Dhel snorts as she starts to laugh and it sends bubbles up her nose. "Something happens...story of my life." She does her best to dab gently at the froth tickling her nose. "but no...nobody to stock seafood for or anything just now. And I don't think my family's going to drop in to visit." She glances at Sholua's sudden quiet and steers back to the menu once again.

"This Kashyyyk seven layer cake sounds wild. I guess it costs that much because the ingredients are from Kashyyk which is...I don't even know how far away, but it's not close."

"Have you been there?" she asks Manny in all seriousness as she returns to her drink. After all, he has a ship! He could have visited anywhere.

"Kashyyyk is a fair ways from here."

She looked thoughtful again for a fleeting moment.

"This shark guy. Leah's boyfriend. What does he look like?"

[Manny Donos]

"Good to know, good to know." Manny grinned. "And nah, never been to Kashyyyk; just never had time. I went to Chad once, which is where Chadra-Fan live, and they're kinda the opposite of Wookiees, right? I was dropping off my bro for life, Munchfronta."

A sip of his Green, and then he looked back to Sholua. "Big. Sharky." He frowned, concentrating; this was the sort of thing he was actually sorta good at. "Maybe half a meter taller than me? Mostly blue, but kinda white here." He waved a hand at his throat and below. "You know him?"

Swoop! The waiter reappeared. Manny started to speak, but then remembered that ladies were supposed to go first in fancy places.

The waiter stopped her making any comments about the shark man. She'd perused the list and decided to actually try the Sluissi Pied Warblerunner, which would be to Manny's relief actually on the cheaper end of the menu. She closed the menu and returned it to the waiter and looked to see what Dhel would order.

Sharky boyfriend? Dhel mentally upgraded the size of the ship in her head if someone the usual size of those was comfortable there. Pausing as the waiter arrived. She stuck with the Kashyyyk cake, playing up the silly thing with big eyes for sweets angle just a bit, and pointing at Manny's green drink. "And one of those too."

The drinks were reasonably cheap, and she didn't intend to go gambling with her head full of sugar and booze, so it would all probably be fine.

"Two!" Manny held up two fingers. "I like it. I mean, maybe I should branch out, but I'm really digging this." He slurped up the rest of his drink, the straw audibly sucking up the last bits of Green and ice.

"And also two of those!" Manny nodded enthusiastically. "I wanted to eat some sort of bird tonight, so yeah, easy choice." He hoped it was actually a bird.

The waiter swooped away again. Manny nodded. "Okay, not bad. I wouldn't come here every day. Maybe once a year. Or after a big score or something. I mean, you gotta do something after a big score, right?"

"It's definitely not an every nighter, for sure."

Sholua also really hoped the Sluissi thing was actually a bird.

"So talking of scores, going to try out the casino tables later, or head straight to the sports betting?"
