Tyllia Confronts the Darkness [D5, MM, Closed]

[Meiyokashi]

Sacrifice.

Anger, purpose, power, control, Tyllia focused on the need to harness to energies within the rawest form of the force as she knew it, the emotions which allowed her to tap into something more potent and darker than any Jedi dared to cross. When here in this place the energy felt intoxicating.. overwhelming, the very air was thick with animosity. Nearly before notice she found herself standing in a dark space without end, a void.

Here she was, for the moment, alone.

She would have her answers, one way or the other. Should she fail, or falter, no matter; she would try again. And again. And push, and push; until she got what she came for.

[Meiyokashi]

A Darkness swelled and assaulted, passing through her being like a wall thrusting itself into her with incredible power and then passing through. Knocking her to what felt like the ground but when her mind instinctively raced to stand again she found she was already standing. A pain gripped her chest and she could feel something creeping inside of her but- it ceased, a very subtle warmth from inside eased and calmed the pained roots which dug into her heart and each dissipated a moment later.

A figure, nondescript but humanoid stepped out and locked its gaze on her. Though it had no face or expression to note on she could feel the presence of it there.

She reacted as one might expect; gripping her chest instinctively before easing up again to take notice of the figure. It took her a few moments to compose herself. The texts had been, vague on what was supposed to happen during the meditation itself; and she had questions aplenty. Was this the entity from the pool? Or something else?

It did not really matter. Or at least, they were questions to ponder later. They were not her purpose right now.

She looked at the figure for a few moments; before speaking. Had she practiced this speech? Parts of it perhaps.

"I am Tyllia Demici, heir to a legacy betrayed. Once, I was apprenticed in the ways of the Force by Count Dooku and his acolytes, but have sought my own path since. I seek knowledge of the Force. And I seek power. The power to avenge my blood. The power to destroy the madness that caused it. The power to end the cycle. The power to forge my weapon, with which I will achieve my destiny."

She paused briefly.

"Can you show me the way to these things?"

[Meiyokashi]

Meaningless names, the voice wasn't heard so much as felt, it was heavy and dark.

Power.

Power I understand.

You wish for a tool.. the figure raises it's hand and waves it across the empty space, the darkness coalescing into the shape of a lightsaber. The face looks to her with an expectant aura bidding her to answer.

"I can build the tool," she said, her hand reaching out, "But not the crystal in its core."

[Meiyokashi]

A tool... I had such a tool once.

As she reached out, if she touched the coalesced blade it would dissipate into smoke.

Accept me? Accept me? Accept me? the voice echoes loudly through this space so strongly that it's hard to tell repetition from echo.

[Tyllia Demici]

"What does it mean for me, to accept you? And if I do, what happens next? What is it *you* hope to get from this?"

Nothing's free.

"I may be bargained with, spirit, but I will not be *fooled*."

[Meiyokashi]

Freedom.

I will give you power. Means to accomplish your goals. Strength.

Accept me and we will walk together. Away from this place.

"And the price?"

She was no fool, as she said. There would be a price; that was never in question.

The entity only blankly stars at Tyllia.

She thought about it for a little bit. And then a little bit more.

Truth was; the price was likely going to be one she was willing to pay regardless. Even if this thing were to try and consume her, take over her body... it might still be worth it if she achieved her goals. Though; if *that* was to be the price, she would surely try to find some way to excise it before it could get there.

Freedom though? If that was truly all it wanted... there would be consequences, perhaps. Evil unleashed. But it was a *lesser* evil. Perhaps even a necessary one.

"Then come," she finally said, closing her eyes, "Give me what I need. And I will give you what *you* need."

She would accept the entity.

At least for now.

Reaching forward the entity took Tyllia's hands in it's own. A coldness seeped into her from this connection which deepened quickly and brutally as it felt like it shot through her bone with a surprising chill that caused her tremendous pain. Dropping her to her knees with the weight of it as she felt a pulsing power from within that felt as if it was about to burst out of her.

For minutes she suffered like this until eventually.. it stopped, there was a gentle throbbing that felt natural to her now and allowed her to draw strength from it.
