Day 7 EN Gai Bal Manda (invitation)

Entering the grotto Solork had chosen for the adoption was...unsettling for the mandalorian who did not have the habit to remove his armor or lay down his weapons.

Thankfully he was able to keep his helmet.

Despite this he could not help but be in awe of the natural beauty of the grotto. He could not sense the Force per se but he instinctively knew a place such a this to be sacred on some level.

The adoption ritual could be a simple affair...but Richo had wanted to do a bit more. This moment was also important to him in a manner that was hard to quantify.

[Solork Tan]

Solork has symbolically stripped off his armor, though he carries something in a bag beside him. The air from the Grotto chills his fur, but somehow it is a comforting feeling. He works to temper his emotions and expectations. This was a step into the unknown and was sending him on a very different path than he had intended when first coming to Bellionas. Whether the change was for good or ill was yet to be decided.

"A little more time please. I would like the others I mentioned a chance to be here"

Richo extended an arm to the gank as he entered ''Vode an Solork, we are in to rush.'' He turned towards the grotto

''Beautiful place this is''

[Solork Tan]

"Vode an. It is" Sol gestures to the branches around that have begun to fall. "I fear it may not be so, after my meddling. A harsh lesson, and one that I do not know if I truly learned. But the place has meaning to me, and it seems appropriate that I place the end of one part of my life here where the next begins. A changing of the seasons"

[The SCaT Droid]

Noticing the giant pile of armor, SCaT places his various tools next to the piles, then enters the grotto. "Solark Tan, Mr. Toboga, it is good to see both of you again."

[Solork Tan]

"Hello Mr. SCaT, I hope you are well." Sol bows to the droid. "I know it might be surprising to hear that I am looking to be adopted into another group, but I felt that you should know. I remember that you had also indicated that you were looking for a group that would be dedicated to overthrowing the Empire to help the former CIS citizen. And that you would want allies in the fight to be recognized as sentient. I do not expect you to act as...well, enthusiastically as I have, but I wondered if you had met my brother, J-Richo. It seems you have. I feel that he might be similarly aligned to those goals"

[The SCaT Droid]

"I have met this man, and I have heard about the mandalorians from Ms. Soleene. I wouldn't be able to join without finding a way to reproduce first."

[Solork Tan]

Sol gives a look at J-Richo and can't resist a smile. "Not with this sect of Mandolorians. Reproduction is certainly one thing I am not expected to provide, and while I don't wish to speak for my adoptor" he looks back at the Mando

[J-Richo Toboga]

''Vode An Scat. It is good to see you here.'' the mando said as a greeting to the droid as he arrived but Scat's affirmation puzzled him as it made no sense.

''I do not know where you got that a mandalorian needed to reproduce to be true Mando'ade but it is a lie. The mando'ade do not reject those who are sterile or lose their...*equipment* in battle..ahem.'' he coughed to move on ''The mando'ade values family'' he made sure the word was accented ''But not necessarily family of blood. Found family is just as important, if not more.''

He nodded towards Sokork

''He is not of my blood as I was not the blood of my father yet today we become brothers nonetheless''

[The SCaT Droid]

"My apologies, I just made a false connection I guess. Soleene seemed to have no knowledge of any droid mandalorians and I tried to figure out which condition could not be met. Droids can learn the language, serve people, and wear this 'beskar'gam', so that just left the passing the ways to the next generation part. So I ask you this, could you consider this fully metal being as part of your family if we can keep this 'Resol'Nare'?"

[J-Richo Toboga]

Richo stared at the former B-1 for a moment

''Witness the adoption, friend, and you will see for yourself''

He then turned to Solork again

''One more, yes? And the helm is ready?''

[Solork Tan]

(I'm going to assume for now that it is possible to make purely cosmetic changes to armor and helmet in advance)

"I have." Solork opens the small bag he has brought with him, lifting out a helmet. Like the armor he has abandoned outsde, the color scheme has changed to a forest green with white accents. "I have crafted it with my own two hands". While before the optics had been concentrated over a single eye, they now are in a distinctive T-shape.

The Gank presents the helm to J-Richo, his adoptor.

SCaT takes a position on the side and defaults to a form of attention used by the old Death Watch Warriors while he waits for whatever this ceremony is.

[Zimrzala Skalirz]

Zim was somewhat surprised by the invitation, but she was happy. She wasn't sure about what had led Sol to this path - but it was him finding a path for himself, and that was something important, and it made her happy.

She got into the Grotto again, for the second time in the day, and pulled her robe back. She looked at those gathered around, nodding silently and respectfully at the droid and the Mandalorian. Taking a place at the side and sitting in a meditative position, but this time keeping her eyes open and attentive, she looks at Sol and nods with a friendly, sisterly smile.

She felt words wouldn't do the moment justice, so for now she kept silent and waited.

[J-Richo Toboga]

Richo nods to Zim, the second witness, as she entered. Since both were taking place he began:

''I welcome both of you to the Gai Bal Man. Just like so many customs of the mando'ade the ritual of adoption is simple and short but bears great meaning both to the adopted and the adoptee. Solork Tan chose both of you to act as witnesses to this event and thus I hope you understand the honor and respect he gives you.''

He then turned towards Solork in a nearly military fashion before removing his helmet to look at him face to face, revealing his identity as a former BX commando droid




''Are you ready? He asked him one last time''

The Gank smiles and offers a small wave as Zim arrives.

She is going to think that I have a screw loose

Solork doesn't react as J-Richo removes his helmet. He's seen it already.

"I am ready to pledge myself to Clan Togoba. May our cause always be blessed with honor and justice, and that we may be a beacon to the other lost and found who still believe in such things. "

[J-Richo Toboga]

''Ba'jur, beskar'gam, Ara'nov, aliit, Mando'a bal Mand'alor, an vencuyan mhi...These are the tenets of the Resol'nare, the essence of the mando'ade. Are you willing to live by them and honor them?''

[Solork Tan]

Education. Armor, Self-defense, Clan, Language, Leader

It had been a quick bit of translation training. The first three were easy: Sol had already lived most of his life trained to fight and lived most of his life in armor. He had applied himself to learning after his awakening.

The Clan was a leap to swear to: right now it was a Clan of two, and it was exciting and nerve wracking to think where it might go from there. Language was tricky. He was going to need to practice, and probably adjust his vocabulator to get the vowels right. Leader... That was interesting and I'll defined.

But I've come too far now

Richo nods approvingly at Solork's words

''Bid ni J-Richo kyr'tayl gai sa'ad Solork Tan''

He extends a hand towards him

''Welcome, brother''
