(D6, ME The Cave) Singin' in the (almost) Rain

Dhel would later find the parcel to contain a few small slices of a very sweet and very dense cake. Probably something homemade again.

Raven gave the performer a little wave and turned most of her attention to Deonis. Mostly. "Good and bad huh? Pretty much the same for me. Good and bad. Things have been too quiet lately... means there's probably something going to happen soon."

Waiting for Dhel to start up again, Sholua made a few lazy sweeping swings and looked out at the crowd as she whirled. She recognised quite a few now and could certainly see why Dhel liked the cute Pantoran guy.

"Sounds like it makes time off something of a celebration then." Carden replied with a soft chuckle.

"Glad my job is more laid back and not as stressful as yours."

“We all can’t be so lucky unfortunately.” She replied with a smile and a sip of her drink.

“So you into places like this?”

Raven gave the performer a little wave and turned most of her attention to Deonis. Mostly. "Good and bad huh? Pretty much the same for me. Good and bad. Things have been too quiet lately... means there's probably something going to happen soon."

Deonis would take no offense to not being the center of attention. His own was split between her and Shoula as well. "How it goes." He said before taking a long drink.

"You get up to anything interesting the past few weeks?"

"Work, mostly," she sighed, but with some relief as she got her drink. The wrap covering her lower face was pulled down to her chin as she helped herself to the first sip.

There was perhaps something... almost surprising with how young she seemed despite the hard exterior of a warrior. Maybe she just had a youthful face.

"Can't really say it's exciting to chase clues and old tracks. Important, but not particularly exciting. At least doing it was easier on worlds where the Empire didn't have much presence and you can operate with more freedom as a bounty hunter. But, I might be concluding my hunt in the next couple of days... hopefully."

Deonis turned a little more towards her "What is it you're chasing?" He asked, his voice clearly curious. If he was shocked by her youth there was little sign of it or if he even really noticed. He may have stared a bit longer when she revealed her face but that could be for any number of reasons.

“We all can’t be so lucky unfortunately.” She replied with a smile and a sip of her drink.

“So you into places like this?”

"it's a bit rougher then i prefer, he looked down at his chair. I tend to prefer to be able to identify what i'm sitting on."

"Places like this aren't too bad though, lets you relax without having to worry about what people think."

"You?"

Deonis turned a little more towards her "What is it you're chasing?" He asked, his voice clearly curious. If he was shocked by her youth there was little sign of it or if he even really noticed. He may have stared a bit longer when she revealed her face but that could be for any number of reasons.

Another sip before she placed the glass back down on the counter. "The man who attacked my partner. It was the main reason I came to Bellionas, but... I won't be leaving soon even if that business is concluded soon. We've given our word to assist here, so we will stick to that."

It just meant they could give more focus to doing exactly that.

"What about you? Anything exciting since we last spoke? It's been a few weeks."

"Attacked your partner? Rough. Can't help with tracking. doubt you and your friends lack muscle, but you need it I'll help." He said before taking his own sip.

He liked Raven but he didn't know her well enough to tell her about his lightsaber, the force, fighting dead Sith trying to possess his friend or the duality of the intense force vergeances he'd been looking into over the past few weeks so he settled for something simple "Been busy. Spent some time in the Swamp." Before taking another drink.

The problem with having secret problems and not being a good conversationalist is you end up coming across pretty boring even if your life has way more going on than it seems.

Deonis would probably have been surprised at how well she might've understood... well at least parts of it... which was more than what most could say for a Mandalorian.

"It's appriciated, but... no, it's kind of a matter of honor. As much as I would want to just call in every friend I have who can shoot or swing a sword, it wouldn't be right," there was a clear sincerity to her words as she spoke.

"I've heard the swamp has some challenges in it. The big and scary kind. A friend and I have been talking about taking a trip there to see what there is but we've both been busy with different things. Find any good challenge out there?"

Deonis regarded her for a moment she may have the impression she has his full attention for the first time since she's sat down. "Would it happen to be the Karkarodon you were with here a while back?" They were a distinctive species hard to forget.

"Yeah. Phroth." She nodded in confirmation. Sensing the shift in his demeanor, Raven looked away from the performance now and to Deonis fully.

"He's a good friend of mine. Met him on Kamda during the... events there, against the Empire. We also had the chance to hunt this massive desert-crab!" True to a Mandalorian, she was visibly excited at the memory of such a thrilling hunt and fight. "It was quite the battle, but we felled it."

Curious. "Your friend Phroth is.......Special yes?" Deonis knew talking about Force sensitivity was dangerous in such a public setting but he had already felt the force within the Karkarodon at the resistance meetings.

"Regardless I would help you into the Swamp. It is dangerous, especially to people like me and your friend." He said to clue her in that he was special as well "i would want to talk with both of you. Some place secure."

Raven considered it carefully. No... Deonis was probably not an enemy, he had not seemed to be that type, and he had been helping the resistance.

"Yeah... I suppose you could call it special," she said, cautiously emphasising the word, so that he could catch her meaning. "I'm not sure what makes it more dangerous for you... but, I'm certain a more private meeting can be arranged. Do you have a place you consider safe? Mine, while safe, has other people that... do not need to know about the, uh, specialness."

"Well. More so for him." He said cryptically

"we could meet at my home. It'll be cramped but it's secure enough to talk. Tomorrow?" He asked in a voice that sounded like a raised eyebrow.

That got a curious look. Giving it a thought, Raven wondered if it might have something to do with what Phroth said about a dark malignant presence in the swamp...

"I will let him know. Tomorrow should be fine for a meeting."

She grins at the dancer and quietly confers a moment as she queues the music up. "Korvin was thrilled you picked his move. Wants to meet you, if you like...not in a handsy way. More 'I wanna meet your friends. Speaking of which." She glances toward Deonis. "Friend of yours?"

"Yeah, this isn't really the place for dancing." He replied with a shake of his head. "Well other then that kind." He continued motioning to the pole. "And I'm pretty sure that's not what you had in mind."

He took a sip of his drink. "I might ask my friend if he knows a place like that though, if he does I could let ya know."

"Sure, after our set. Oh, One Liner? Don't mind him, he just does menacing aura without even trying. Bit like Too Many does. Not sure they can turn it off."
