“Coruscant news reports.” She paused with a deadpan face. “Stuff’s got a sweet beat.”

She offered a small smile to indicate she was joking.

“Actually it’s some new stuff I picked up on the last place I was.” She extended a ear bud.

“Want a listen?”

The joke wasn't really that great but was nonetheless welcome enough after having to deal with pre-programmed droid responses to elicit something of a smile from Tyllia herself.

"Uh sure," she said, taking the earbud and holding it up to her ear.

There was some sort of what seemed like upbeat elevator music with a vocalist who really seemed to be more confident in their singing ability than they should.

“Not the best. It’s a recording of some band I heard back on Kamda.”

She really didn't know enough about music to give any critiques, though she knew what she likes; and this wasn't it.

"Hmmm... Kamda?"

That planet's name had come up in conversation before. Maybe more than once, but her question sounded more like this was the first time she'd heard the name.

“Planet here in the sector. Not a bad place. Some ugliness happened about a year ago. But there aren’t many places out here that don’t have a bit of that.”

She asked, “How about you?”

"Me?" She asked lazily; not rushing the answer. "I've been here and there."

She certainly had, and the many places she'd spent time in growing up had no doubt left their mark on her accent. Though to those with the ear for it, her Serenno accent might still be identified as the base beneath all of the other influences.

Lassa nodded obviously not all that occupied with prying into the life of someone she just met.

“Lot of that these days too.” She nodded.

“I just follow work around as of late. Bellionas is next on the list.”

"You don't look like you're in the physical labor business," she said, with mild interest. "What kind of work brings you to Bellionas, then?"

SCaT made sure to explain organic social expectations (to the best of its ability) to BXE before going off to some other location to begin its mind wipe procedures.

She nodded, “Administrative assistant. Get my work from a recruiting firm in the core.”

"Corporate or government?" She asked, which might be an interesting distinction.

[Lassa Tenro]

“It’s been government for the last little bit. I was the secretary for the Governor on Kamda before he got relieved.”

She scanned through her datapad for a moment before showing a picture of a woman.

“And now will be working for an important biologist on Bellionas.”

"Huh, really?" Her interest seemed to grow. "That's a big change, going from working for a governor to a biologist, isn't it? I didn't know there was much need for biologists on Bellionas, much less important ones."

She nodded, “Apparently so. She’s Imperial. Some sort of important research project that people in the core have interest in.”

"What sort of project? Isn't biology just like, cataloguing animals and plants and stuff? I thought Bellionas was a civilized planet? Is there stuff like that left to do out there?"

She shrugged, “I’ll know more after orientation and getting use to my surroundings I suppose. I’m a bit of an organizer; so I’m assuming they have things that need some organizing.”

She asked, “Where are you headed?”

Shame the Pantoran hadn't been briefed already. Tyllia would have liked to know what an 'important' Imperial biologists was doing on the planet. Specifically. Oh well.

She emulated the shrug. "Nothing fancy like that. I'm just... well, looking for work where I can find it, I guess. Hey, can I get your commlink address? I mean, you don't have to or anything. I know it's probably annoying having some stranger just ask for it hoping you could maybe hook her up with a job or something later."

She nodded, “It’s no problem. Always good to have people to call if I need extra hands. Bellionas is new to me too. ‘Networking’ tends to bring in more than its value in returns.”

She lifted up her device to transmit when the other woman was ready.

“Name’s Lassa by the way. What sorta stuff have you worked for in the past?”

"Tyllia Mantero," she said, transmitting when indicated. "And uh... just you know, odd jobs. It's hard to get a university degree out here, but I guess I'm quick on my feet when it comes to it. I can adapt to most workloads, so long as it's not impossible to do without highly specialized knowledge or superhuman strength and no exosuit in sight."

“I see. So no spice mines for you then.” She replied with a soft smile.

“What kind of work are you looking to get into?”

"I don't really know," she said, looking off into the distance as if she were giving that question considerable thought. "Obviously the paying kind, but I'd like for it to be important maybe. Something with impact. Or at least not working for some middle-management type at some no-name outpost. Sounds like you're not heading into that kind of job though."
