[D8ME] Wookie Teras Kasi Master 2: Mo' Wookiee Mo' Problems

Dhel lifts her mug in greeting as Phroth arrives, glad to see he made it. Then joins in the drinking game...though she's not sure if the lack of alcohol makes it a proper game. But at her size, she'd be incapacitated before the movie ended at the rate they were going.

Having managed to lock himself out while gathering some snow for...something that probably made sense to Wookiee cooks...he does this wildly improbable jump with multiple spins to the top of the home? tree? and... "wait..did they literally switch between the beginning and end of that stunt? He's at least a foot shorter!" His 'mane' had that scraggly half-grown look too. Seems like the budget was grabbing barely grown newcomers or something.

Dhel shakes her head, sipping her drink before resting her head briefly on Korvin's shoulder, poking him in the ribs with her mug and whispering "this is supposed to be relaxing, you know?"

[Manny Donos]

"Oh, wow. I forgot how bad this was." Manny laughed. "I wish I knew more Wookiees. Munch was kinda like a Wookiee. Just, well, he was a Chadra-Fan."

Even if they'd made a lot of changes, it was still a martial arts movie. Rawrbacca (another one) was battling the dream demons who hated life day. But, since it was a weird movie with a lot of changes, he was singing.

"Teras Kasi, Teras Kasi," Rawrbacca sang. "It's the only martial art for me." He punched a dream demon, making it explode. "When I do it, you can see! My victory is guarantee...d"

He did a lazy jumpkick. "Teras Kasi, Teras Kasi, it turns big rocks into debris..." Rawrbacca spun, facing down more demons. "They may try to disagree, but I'll just kill them with my knee!" He launched a flying knee, blowing through both of them.

[Korvin Hikarrin]

The Pantoran shakes his head in wonder at the movie's obvious problems.

Dhel's poke actually gives him the faintest tickle, putting more smile on his face than there's been since Manny's card trick. He looks embarrassed for a moment getting called on his tension and ends up looking into his mug as he swirls it a bit.

"Yeah, yeah, I know," he mumbles. "It's, ah... It's a lot. Should have, uh, prepared myself a bit more." He touches his head to hers gently. "I'll be ok though."

She frowns with some confusion, but takes him at his word with a nod before kissing his nose and returning her attention to the movie and her rapidly emptying drink.

Dhel hums along with the tune...since they totally ripped off one that had probably been popular at the time the movie was made. She leans forward and cranes around Korvin a minute to give Manny an odd look. "Like...a super hairy Chadra-Fan? Because they're about as much like Wookie as I am." She tries not to jostle Raven too much with her hip as she moves around, but it *is* a small couch.

Being used to cramped living conditions by now, Raven didn't mind Dhel bumping around at all, and seeing the affectionate display between the two of them, she just kind of smiled pleasantly.

Shifting in her seat a bit, she sat a bit straighter but closer to Korvin and Dhel. "Feel free to stretch out if you like, you two. I don't mind." The way she was sitting, it was more like she was offering herself as an additional seat on the couch to be leaned on. Or stretched out on.

As her attention returned to the movie she couldn't help but to roll her eyes a little. "Did they even get anyone who knows fighting to do this? That kind of kick won't even break a plank."

Korvin calms a little at the kiss, taking less notice of Dhel's wiggle so she can look at Manny. He perks slightly and snickers a little louder than he probably should at the lineup that includes a Wookiee, a really hairy Chadra-fan, and Dhel.

Raven's invitation to use a little more space really gets Korvin's attention, and he's quick to give Dhel a look like, "We should." He murmurs, "However you want to sit is fine with me."

Dhel literally does not need to be asked twice to sprawl on top of people. Among other Bothans, there'd just generally be a lot more touch in her life, so she winds up with her head in Korvin's lap and her legs wrapped around Raven's with a content sigh before she even notices the movie again with a snicker. "I bet skulls don't actually split in half like that from a...heel punch? Whatever that was."

[Sholua Tempes]

"They obviously hired that wookiee for the musical scene more than any fighting skill . . . but then they dubbed it anyway! Sooooooooo bad."

The arm up around Manny's neck started playing with his hair.

[Manny Donos]

"It's hard to explain. You'd have to meet him. Hey, maybe we can swing by Chad sometime! I mean, if, uh, what we do ends up taking us by there." Manny said, then practically purred as Sholua played with his hair. He turned and kissed her cheek... on most surfaces, his lips, colored by the Green he'd been drinking, would have left a noticeable mark. On Sholua it blended in fairly well.

Hissface had returned, and was now had a cybernetic arm. He'd captured the youngest Wookiee, and now he and Rawrbacca's Wookiee family faced off.

"Ayy, c'mon boyo, you know I'll beat ya again!" Rawrbacca's newest actor said; the dubbing was also different. "I got my wicked strong Teras Kasi!"

"I know no such thing! Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiss!" The two families charged into battle...

The camera zoomed out, and the large battle was done by... puppets. "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiss!" Hissface's puppet shook as he and Rawrbacca engaged, one of his eyes falling off.

Korvin has a moment of pause as Dhel repositions, finding afterward that this is much more comfortable for all concerned. He gently rubs the tip of one of her ears as he sighs contentedly, the movie mostly forgotten for the Pantoran.

[Raven Cadera]

Content with her role as support and couch-extension, Raven eases a bit too as it's clear that it's fine to relax next to eachother here.

As the puppet-battle went on, it wasn't unusual to see the hands of the puppeteers cutting into frame.

"Wayii, this is bad... the puppets aren't even cute." Sighing, she helped herself to some of the bread and dip as well, choosing the red dip, and passing the snacks onward to Dhel and Korvin after she had had her mouthful.

Meanwhile Sholua found it hilarious.

"They're not even trying anymore!"

[Manny Donos]

"Hey, pass that over here!" Manny waved his hand, smiling. "I could use some Red to go with my Green."

The Hissface puppet knocked the Rawrbacca puppet to the ground. "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiss!" He hissed, sorta, looming over him.
"This time I've won! I'm the winner! Hahahahahahahahaha... hiss."

Rawrbacca stood up. "It's too late. You're already dead."

"What?!?!" Hissface said. Suddenly, he clutched at his head. "Arrrrgggghhhhh!"

He exploded. It was messy. A few moments later, his lower half fell to the ground. Along with his cyber arm.

"Hurray!" All the Wookiees cheered. Rawrbacca flexed, wiping Hissface from his fur. "Teras Kasi is the best!"

Dhel contorts to lean against Korvin while scooping, eating and sharing food, before lying across his lap again in order to stretch across the gap between seats to pass it along. The passing part was a little reluctant, actually. "This stuff is amazing. You need to come over here and give lessons some night, Raven."

And then the puppet exploded. This would have been way more disturbing if they'd still had much of a special effects budget. The puppet innards were decidedly less gory than the previous movie.

"Wait...what happened? Why did he just explode? Did I miss him planting a grenade or something?"

[Korvin Hikarrin]

"Does Teras Kasi let you just blow things up?" Korvin speculates, at some point having switched from mug to food. "I mean, not my area of expertise, so..." He glances to the others, immediately getting the impression he's being too forgiving to the bizarre film.

Once Dhel's settled back in, while one of his hands holds the food he's working on, the back of his other hand strokes her cheek gently. He gives her a small, almost bashful smile as he does it.

[Raven Cadera]

Raven blinked in confusion of what was happening on screen.

"Uh, I think his punch made the sock, I mean, Hissface, explode? That's wild." It didn't seem like she was quite sure what to make of it. "Oh, right... we can do that sometime, Dhel. Maybe I'll even be able to drag my partner along for that too. He just gets a bit anxious with new people."

[Korvin Hikarrin]

Korvin gives a sharp exhale, stifling a laugh. Embarrassed, he explains, "I'm sorry. I just, uh, can really relate to that. As you all... probably already gathered." He shifts toward being as much smaller and deeper in the corner of the couch as his long frame allows.

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

Dhel pats his knee. "Relate to what? The explodi..ohhh." She shifts a bit to look up at him with a smile "It's fine, nobody's going to bite tonight." Without looking, she waves a warning finger at Phroth before rolling back into her 'able to see the movie' position and grins at him.

To Raven, she adds, "Isn't he Mandolorian too? I...would not have guessed there were shy ones, honestly."

There's a faint half-chuckle of agreement as his eyebrows both rise high on his head, but he doesn't say anything. He rubs the backs of his fingers gently against the side of her neck as they watch more of the movie. Korvin's shoulders show a degree of relaxing as the minutes pass.

[Sholua Tempes]

Sholua was still in absolute stitches at the film 'quality'.

"Oh . . . . . . so bad. . . . . . . . . and they made fourteen more of these!!!!!"
