(D8 EA) A Surprise or Two

[Varina Ordo]

"I guess it is kind of badass," Varina said with a shrug. "I don't particularly want to do it but you gotta do what you gotta do. When you think like that, makes it easier to stomach all the gore everywhere." Plus it helped that she was used to skinning animals and the like with hunting.

"Wait, what's the blue stuff? You've lost me there..."

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

Tapping distractedly at her datapad, Dhel wanders in to the kitchen, almost running into Manny on her way to the fridge before realizing anyone else is there. Blinking, she starts to speak, then notices Varina. "Oh...hey! Cookie thief!"

She wraps the arm holding the datapad around Manny as she leans around him in the small space to scoop out a box she thinks is the last of one of Raven's dishes, giving him a small peck on the cheek as long as they're already all tangled up. Unwinding the process, she balances box on datapad and opens it, smiling at whatever it contains.

Noticing the crutches though, the smile fades. "Kriff...absolutely everyone getting smashed up lately. There's more cookies back on the counter...won't heal you any faster, but they're tasty." She offers a wave before heading back to her room with sustenance and files to pour over for the umpteenth time.

[Varina Ordo]

Varina smirked. "Hey, well, Cookie Thief isn't as bad as a nickname as..."

She blinked at the kiss. That made absolutely no sense in any sort of scenario! Processing it made her almost miss Dhel's words completely. "Uh, yeah, I guess there's a lot of fighting happening." The teen pinched her good thigh for a moment, narrowed her eyes, and then slapped herself hard on the cheek. "Ah! Well, I don't think I'm asleep. Maybe the afterlife is this weird though."

[Manny Donos]

"Hey, Dhel." Manny said, grinning as she came through. He ran a hand along her shoulders as she walked away. "Thanks! They are tasty!"

As she left, he picked up a cookie, chomping into it enthusiastically. "Cookie?" He invited her. "Sorry, what were we talking about?"

[Varina Ordo]

"Uh, killing people and... Now this, I guess." Varina stared at the ceiling. "Oh gosh, I'm dead, I'm dead."

[Manny Donos]

"What?!?!" Manny's eyes went wide. "What's wrong? Are you okay? Is it the leg? Do you need a cookie more than I thought? Here..."

He grabbed a cookie and dashed over, loose sleeve and pantleg flapping. "Here!" He shoved it at her. The cookie, that is.

[Varina Ordo]

"If the leg somehow killed me, then it is," Varina said. "But I don't feel anything with it right now." She looked at the cookie and then shook her head. "Eat your damn cookie with all your germs on it."

[Manny Donos]

Manny looked at her, then looked at the cookie, then back at her. Then, still looking at her, eyes full of concern, he stuffed the whole cookie in his mouth.

"Whr shfd rfwry gft yrr trw er drftr." He said as he chewed.

[Varina Ordo]

Varina enunciated each word: "I don't know what you're saying." She looked back towards Dhel and then back to him. "When did this, uh, thing start? Is she...? Are you...?" The teen scratched her hair and held up her hand. "You like fur?"

[Manny Donos]

Manny chewed and then swallowed. "Oh, me and Dhel? Yeah, she's staying here. She's great! She's one of my crew now." He shrugged. "And we're doin' it sometimes. Not at the same time as me and Sholua... I mean, not that I haven't thought about it, but that's just not how it works." He shrugged.

"And the fur... I mean, it tickles. But sometimes it good tickles..." Manny suddenly frowned, looking at Varina. "Uhhh... nevermind." He said, blushing. "Look, what if you went to a Mando doctor? Would that work?"

"Doing it? Oh my goodness..." Varina tugged at her own hair. "Sholua? What, is that the name of your hand? No, no, that doesn't make sense..."

She shut her eyes. Oh the thoughts that went through her head.

"Uh, a doctor? Oh, I mean, I've gone to a lot of doctors. Maybe Jyrvess would have a better idea? She's a librarian so she could look up what doctors do, right?"
