[Sholua Tempes]

Sholua stepped back, coincidentally giving herself a good view if the droid, and having apparently decided it was a safe droid she moved to the bar to get a drink. Slotting in the other side of Kira from Nimbo she caught the barperson's eye and ordered something strong.

"Whoa-ho my friend, all the excitement!" he said with a raised joviality to his voice. "You know this isn't exactly the kind of affair you bring a gift to, hmm?" he asked with a slight chuckle.

"Boop-boop," beeps echoing the sound of a slide trombone echo from the droid. Its sharp bits shake slightly as it signals shame.

There are affairs without gifts?? Its metal arms begin to retract as a panel slowly slides open to receive the present. This unit apologizes for its lack of social programming.

"That- that there is alright friend," he chuckles a bit as he tries to find a safe way to pat the dome of the droid.

Kira, hearing the voice behind her glances over her shoulder in the meantime. Giving a very brief greeting with an upward nod accompanied by a raised brow.

The nod is returned, and once Sholua has her drink she looks at Kira questioningly over it, tilting her head and also raising a brow.

"Name's Kira," she says, shifting on her stool to face Sholua more. A woman dressed for the environment she tends to live in, outside the walls of the city itself. Rough fabrics and plenty of covering for the skin with goggles hanging loose around her neck. Extending a half-gloved hand she takes her own measure of Sholua for herself. "And you are?"

Sholua was dressed for the environment she frequented. ie the lower city. Clothes that were easy to dance in, not very expensive but at least the colours matched. She had the air of someone who usually carried . . . more than that.

"Sholua."

She smiled before finally taking Kira's offered handshake.

"You know Drezzie well?"

"Well enough," she firmly shook Sholua's hand before settling her own on the edge of the bar. "Came here a lot when I still lived in the city. More the case of checking in on the old friend anytime I manage my way into the city nowadays- which isn't often. Take it you might be a more recent cause of Drezzie's big heart?" she asked with a short smirk.

"Oh I've known him a while. Let's just say he's happy to help those who are suffering the consequences of a dubious life decision."

She took a slug of her drink.

"And he serves some very passable stuff here."

[Kira]

"Sounds like Drezzie, he's helped patch a split lip or two of mine," she says with a smile reserved for the past. Collecting up her own drink she raises it toward Sholua pre-emptively for a toast. "To Drezzie?"

There was a clink of whatever glass substitute Drezzie used for his glassware, or possibly actual glass, Sholua wasn't sure. She was sure about the toast though.

"To Drezzie, and his new family."

[Kira]

Though the glasses used may not have been of a familiar material, they still granted that all too familiar and satisfying clink. Smiling to Sholua before drinking deeply of her own. Setting the glass aside when she finished. Taking a pause for herself to catch up with the evening thus far.

Sholua took another slug of her drink as the toast and then leaned back against the counter waiting for the warmth to hit.

"It feels like moments like these are getting fewer and further between."

A low, slightly distorted voice spoke behind her "I wouldn't expect that to change anytime soon." Deonis stared forward as the thin metal tube slid out from under his helmet.

Natives would probably recognize him as a relative newcomer one who helped people on occasion but who had an aura of anger and violence about him despite being mostly reserved and quiet.

Sholua tilted her head to look at the new addition to the conversation.

"And is that a good thing or a bad thing for you . . . . . . ?"

Cold black visor turned to regard her no hint of the being underneath thoughts or emotions just a neutral slightly modulated voice "Not a good thing for anyone. Some might weather it better than others though."

He looked past her to the gathered celebrants "Enjoy the down time while it's here." He wasn't exactly sure how but he felt something coming, something big and dark.

Perhaps Sholua had hints of something big coming soon as well, or maybe it was on the air for anyone sensitive enough to detect.

"Oh I plan to. DREZZIE! Break out the good stuff you keep stashed willya?!?!?!"

Mid-handshake with one of the final new arrivals for the hour Drezzie brings them in for a quick hug. Patting them on the shoulder with a smile. Whipping around with the energy of his youth comes around and walks over toward and around the bar, "Plenty in the back- but someones still gotta be paying for it! Near half cost, like all the rest. Still a sizeable chunk in the wallet," he laughs his bellowing laugh.

"Wouldn't want folks accidentally dipping into the expensive stuff when they get drunk," he adds with a wink toward those around. Hands planted firmly on the opposite side of the counter.

"Oh I don't expect you to give it away, just thought the night called for the smoother stuff than the usual."

She plonked her, now empty, glass down on the counter and nodded to the bar server.
