Coming Home [EA8, Closed]

[Meiyokashi]

Rising up for approximately ten minutes he arrives at the top with the panels reading their arrival. Turning to him the officer says, "Please remain at my side, the Foundry is a high security area and if you were to wander you might be shot on suspicion of sedition," she says with military clip as the doors open she exits, turning to Jaxom.

"I will field any questions you need before arrival at Mr. Ursae's office," she states.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"I understand." he nodded. He was quiet for some time, before finally asking, "How is he? His health?"

[Meiyokashi]

"He suffers from nothing for which the Imperial service cannot provide," she gives a direction with a wave of her hand and continues leading him onward through the foundry. Off to one side a wall of endless little bays where technicians work on technical parts. To his right, a central large bay where they are mid-way through the process of constructing a Star Destroyer. With the size of the foundry there are likely more bays than simply this.

Walking out of the bay they enter a office section of the station. Walking past officers, technicians, and other individuals serving a purpose for which he isn't certain. Leading him to another smaller and shorter elevator they enter together. Sending them up a couple floor she turns to Jaxom and states, "He serves the Empire proudly. You should be proud."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"I am very proud of who he is." he nodded. He still wasn't sure what to think of it all, but he had at least come to think there was more to his father's actions than he had believed.

[Meiyokashi]

"Good," she says, and the doors open. Walking out into the room together she walks to the side and allows him to enter through the next door alone. In through there they open up to a small receiving area toward a large office with double-glass doors or ornate design, a relic from before the war. Inside there was a man matching the general appearance of his father sitting at a large desk at a terminal. However through the design of the glass it is hard to determine exactly if it is the man himself.

He took a moment to look around before approaching the office, taking note of any security devices. It was a brief pause before he moved towards the office.

Outside he could note a security camera, but once he walked inside that may be a different story.

He might have been a bit distracted by what he saw.

[Meiyokashi]

Coming into the room he was able to see that there weren't any security devices within the room itself, but it was immaculately decorated. This wasn't his fathers style best he could remember and he likely inherited the vast collections on display in her. A cough recalls his attention from the surrounding room as the older, grayed haired but stout man rose from his desk.

"Jaxom.. still have your heads in the clouds?" his voice was stern but.. there was a warmth beneath it that was almost too easy to miss.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Yes sir." he nodded. "I'm still a bit of a dreamer. But, I've learned how dreams can take unexpected turns. It's good to see you."

He smiled as he took another moment to look over the man he'd come to see.

There was a strength to him as he remembered from growing up, but after the time apart it's clear to see how age wears on him in all those little ways it does. Stepping around the desk he walks toward Jaxom and embraces him in a brief and awkward hug. Placing his hands on his shoulders, "It is good to see you as well.. despite," he shakes his head.

"What do I owe the pleasure of seeing my son again?" he asks, stepping back to give Jaxom space.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"I came back to Bellionas for other reasons, but I've really wanted to see you." he said. "I've had a lot of years to think about things. I've experienced a few difficult situations, made some hard decisions. I'm sorry for being so angry with you."

[Meiyokashi]

"You were.. it was understandable," he says, there is a brief pause as he just looks over Jaxom. Seeing in his features how the years have treated his son before he seems to realize himself. "But come.. we have time but, let's not speak standing in the doorway all day," he laughs, directing himself and Jaxom over toward a pair of chairs in one of the corners, a small sitting space that was very comfortable.

"Have you come a long way, do you need a water or anything?"

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Water would be good." he nodded as he moved to the chairs. "I forgot what it was like outside of the city."

[Meiyokashi]

Collecting a silver decanter from one of the nearby tables he pours two glasses of water and walks over. Offering Jaxom one while sitting with his own. Settling into the cushioned and comfortable seat as he looks to him. "So.. what have you been doing, Jaxom? How have you been?"

[Jaxom Ursae]

"I've been on Kamda, running a bar." He took a quick gulp of water. "Helping out people when I could. What about you? Have you been alright?"

[Meiyokashi]

"Running a bar?" he laughs, placing his hand down and out on his own knee as he leans into it. "I've been alright.. received a promotion or two, but tell me more about you. I want to hear all the stories you have."

/fade to stories? (figure we can 'fade in' half an hour later at the tale end of one rather than come up with a bunch )

[Jaxom Ursae]

They spoke for a long time, swapping stories and catching up. It was good and Jaxom didn't want it to end. But, there was another reason for his visit.

"... I don't know how a droid could forget what's in a Bantha Blaster."

[Meiyokashi]

Jaxom's father laughs, holding his stomach as he does so with a bellowing sort of nature to him. Coughing a little as it strains his body, he looks to Jaxom, "That is.. something else Jaxom," he grins broadly, noticing a notification at his desk beeping. With a dourness returning he looks to his son.

"Yet reality calls me back," he stands and walks over, placing his hand on Jaxom's shoulder. "Please, stay.. we should talk more but there's someone I must speak with. Will you be alright till I get back?"

"I'll be fine." he nodded.
