(D8 MA, Mando Safehouse) Standing on her own tw-one foot!

[Varina Ordo]

Varina shook her head. "Just wanted things to be normal. That's all." She flicked her useless, stupid leg a couple of times. "That HoloNet post about Trandoshan blood transfusions was probably a hoax anyways."

She glanced at her mom and then shook her head again. "You probably know a lot about Manda stuff. If I get rid of this leg, does that part of me go there? When I die, would I be united with it? Or would I be forever missing a part of me?"

"I don't know," she said, honestly. Having give a second to process but looking to Varina as she thought. "I- I believe that when we got to the Manda we will not be left without everything we need. If your leg is so important, you will have it, but perhaps.. you will learn to become an ever greater warrior without it," she smirks, it's a weak expression but it appears, shaking her head. "If you're worried about an eternity hobbled and useless- that is not what I see coming for you."

"I guess I'll need to ask someone a bit more scholarly," Varina said. "Kind of hard to find those when we're all so focused on killing stuff, isn't it?" She glanced over at her explorer's knife and then shrugged. "Even being out in the wild, it's a constant path of bloodshed."

She finally touched her wet cheeks and wiped them off. "I don't know where I'm going to go after this. The Enclave... guess I really am your daughter. I don't believe in him even after all this time. But neither am I going to go with you. I don't think that'd work." Complicated relations aside, the Salky Raiders weren't exactly her type of people either.

After a few moments of silence, she sighed. "I wish dad knew how to be a bit better at the whole Mandalorian thing. Doesn't feel right to stay with him either."

"It would be hard.. I'm sure," she says, nodding in agreement on that note. Glancing down as a thought dawns on her, it plays across her expression but she doesn't voice it. Instead she merely looks back to Varina, "I wandered alone for a long time before I found my place in the raiders.. I do not think it is that bad of a thing to follow my example there. Go where you feel you need to go, see the galaxy, don't.. commit yourself to anything because you feel you need to," she says, giving a half-smile.

Standing she looks to Varina, "You'll always be welcome with the Salky Raiders. It may not be home but.. you'll be welcome."

[Varina Ordo]

Varina shrugged. "I guess that's what I was always meant to do. We'll see about the Raiders... if you need me for anything, I guess you should call me. The same has been true for the Enclave and whatnot."

She looked over to her room and said, "Did you find your rifle there? You can take it back. I don't really want it. Think it was bad luck, to be honest." She thrusted forth an imaginary rapier. "Think I'm best off using my sword arm in battle."

Reibelle gave a nod toward the rifle's general direction, looking to Varina, "I'll take it back then. And.. if you ever need me to arrange that appointment again," she suggests merely by mentioning it and steps away enough to give Varina some more space.

[Varina Ordo]

"It's stuffed under the bed, under a loose panel. Figured you might look for it while I was gone," Varina said, a little proud of her craftiness.

She scratched the back of her head. "Yeah, I guess you should go do that." She regretted it the moment after she said it. Too late, though, and soon she'd have only three actual limbs.

"I will then," she says, turning toward the room and taking a few steps. Turning back to Varina, "One to another? There is no shame in a replacement limb. Many warriors in my time have had them, it is the nature of conflict," and then she proceeds toward the room to grab the blaster.

[Varina Ordo]

Varina sighed. "Doesn't matter what they think. I'll always remember my own failure. An injury like this is something I always wanted to avoid."

Opening the door toward her room Reibelle made her way in, and over toward the bed, continuing the conversation from the distance. Kneeling, and then laying on her back to get underneath, "Keep a tally like that you'll only weigh yourself down," she reaches under, moving the panel and the blaster falling out awkwardly.

"Leave the heavy memory behind. Save yourself the worry. You'll face so many more disappointments in your life, things you wanted to avoid," she speaks, a little strain as she shifts out from under the bed with blaster in hand and twisting back onto her knees. Back to her feet she steps into the door again, "You'll have mistakes you make that you can properly blame yourself for too. An injury inflicted in combat?" she shakes her head, "Beating yourself up over it is just another loss. Want to avoid it moving forward? Hang up the beskar, go somewhere far away from all of this.." she says, glancing around the room.

"Still might find you in the end, but at least you can know you tried."

"Yeah, I guess it'd be nice to just crawl into a hole." Varina let out a soft groan. "Too bad I already went back and made the Enclave make me a new suit of armor, custom-designs and all. Would be kind of a rude thing to do to send it back, wouldn't it?"

[Reibelle Ordo]

"It certainly would," there was a little smirk that played there, but then hid back in the usual demeanor she wore.

[Varina Ordo]

"Did you even want your rifle back? It's a pretty good one. Just, well, not for me." Varina shrugged. "Never gonna steal a weapon again. Well, unless I needed to disarm someone... you get what I mean."

She looked down at her leg and then sighed. "Are you... going to be there for the surgery?"

[Reibelle Ordo]

"Only one person would have had the gall to steal from me," she shrugs, "and I felt that it would have served them well enough if they really wanted it," she leans the rifle against the side of the wall where she was, looking to Varina with an appraising nature to her eye.

"Do you want me to be?" she asks, the tone is flat and direct.

[Varina Ordo]

"You really got them all scared of you, huh? How'd you manage to do that when you guys have that 'no leaders' thing going on?"

Varina flushed and sank deeper into the couch. "Yes I want you to come. I think it'd be something cool to watch or something."

[Reibelle Ordo]

"I'll be there," she said, as a matter of fact. Point conceded.

"And- no, not scared. Respect. Your-" she hesitates, grimacing. Shaking her head, "We are Mando'ade. As Mando'ade it's.. natural for us to look toward strength for guidance. Among the Salky Raiders only Carid matches me... matched me."

[Varina Ordo]

"Guess that's why Mand'alor and other leaders are usually the toughest, huh? Most of the other government heads seem to be real pansies."

[Reibelle Ordo]

"Different people, different values," she gives with a shrug, but also a nod to it. Glancing from her daughter to the door but- uncertain in if she should she settles where she is.

[Varina Ordo]

Varina glanced over at her mom and the door. "Well, I guess I'll be seeing you tomorrow then." Varina blew loose strands of hair out of her face and looked at the ceiling. "Send me the doctor's note on the procedure, would you?"

"Tomorrow, and I will," she says, giving a nod before taking her leave.
