Despite feeling a chill on her spine as she looked at the creature, Zim moved closer again, managing to get her hands close enough to the creature to feel reasonably certain that she could affect it by focusing on the energy of the surroundings and trying to redirect the energy of the connections between things to overload the wicked creature's senses...

Once again, as she tried to extend her feelings to the energies around her, she felt a pull that seemed to insist on making her angry and unbalanced. She braced against it as she directed a small amount of energy towards the creature, knowing the effects would probably be limited. She wavered, but made her best effort to avoid giving in to anger and uncontrolled emotions for the sake of power.

In the face of this supernatural foe, Aanli also reaches out to an energy greater than herself in hopes of aid.

In her case, she reached out with her arm and the energy was in the form of ionized tabana gas as she peppered the creature with annoying rings of blue energy. She knew it wouldn’t do much, but the point wasn’t to hurt it. It was to distract it, to create an opening.

As Sol rushes for the beast with his Repulsor fist ready the giant wolf creature lashes out at him, biting down hard on the Repulsor fist. Sol can only watch in horror as the cybernetics of the fist fritz and sputter as the teeth tear through it. With the whine from the fist charging up it blasts the wolf from inside it's mouth and sends the head back reeling from the concussive nature. There's a shake to the creatures head as it looks about a bit dazed from the blast itself.

[Both Despair used to damage the Repulsor First, it is now moderately damaged and increases the difficulty of all checks made with it by 1.]

[As a note, the creature is currently standing partially atop the crab and leaves no opening to do a complicated procedure amid active combat.]

Still standing close to the creature, Zim reaches to the sound, smells and energy of the nature around her again and extends it through the thread she feels connecting her to the strong, tense and somewhat dark energy of the wolf-like creature. She feels its will trying to resist it, but overcomes it and uses the energy to overwhelm its senses, to either calm it down or tire it enough for it to stop attacking them...

She then takes a moment to wrap some of the energy in the nature around her and in her own self around her for protection again.

((I may as well burn that second destiny for Sol. Aim twice for blue, pew. Also, since we've already done quite a bit of strain scary and things tend to have higher wounds than strain, we may as well keep doing strain damage. Then slit its throat if appropriate.))

Things got a little messy here with things, gonna be focusing on keeping this more clear on what's going on. For now, I've decided the previous turn will just be moot for the NPC as it's the easiest way to fix things. My apologies for my hand in creating a confusing situation!

Sol isn't sure what the others are doing, but at the least the creature is distracted. His metallic arm is showing signs over overwork but the recharge time made it unlikely to use again anyway.He remains defensive, anticipating a counterattack

((Hey Meiyo! My apologies, actually! I was the one who mistook Concussion as making the NPC lose actions and maneuvers! So I know this might f*k us up a bit, but maybe give the NPC a free maneuver this turn to balance it not having one last turn?))

As they attack the Guardian from all sides, the beast growls and whips around the crab creature, keeping itself between them and the aggressors. With a whip like motion Aanli finds herself knocked to her feet in the swamp muck, swamp water rushing over her and forcing her down a little more. As Solork's blade makes contact he too finds himself thrown from the beast and into the muck weighed down by the thickness of the swamp water.

Harried from all sides, the creature howls into the air as Aanli and Solork are knocked prone. Looking to Zim the creature's red eyes glare with purpose, she can feel it burrowing into her soul and feels like an end is coming as her fear surfaces. However, the beast turns and digs it's nose underneath the crab and with effort lift it back over onto it's many legs. As the crab quickly starts taking off toward the water again the wolf-creature paces watching the sentients with baleful eyes.

[Guardian:]

Action to put the Crab on its feet.
Maneuver to move with Crab/disengage.
Maneuver to Guarded Stance.

[Combat Modifiers:]
Dr. Aanli is currently prone.
Solork is also prone and must stand before taking a move action, such as to engage.

Guardian is Adversary 3, Melee 2, Ranged 1. As well under Guarded Stance, adding a Setback to all checks made against it.
GM Destiny Spent on the Guardians defense.

Guardian is disengaged from all targets but at Short.

((Taking the last PC slot for this round as I hadn't acted in it yet!))

Zim looks worried at her companions being thrown to the ground, but this time instead of going towards the wolf-like creature she approaches the crab itself and touches her hand to its carapace. She doesn't actually attack it, but rather, once more, draws into the energies of the nature around and tries to touch the crab's own energy, damping it and trying to get it to slow down, tire, refrain from moving away and let them touch it...

... she had some difficulty focusing on the energies around, trying to avoid the darkness of the place which called to her. But she did her best...

Sol gets up and glares at the wolf. It's game is obvious, to deny the prize. Playing it's game would give it what it wanted. Instead, Sol runs at the crab, kick snapping at a knee joint.

The kick crashes into the crab but doesn't trip it like Sol had hoped.
