[Day 8 - Early Morning] New Toys

[Soleene Stryss]

"18 years ago?" She repeated with an obvious hint of amazement as some humans in the Enclave weren't particularly that old even and also regarding Clay's vague age.

"Thank you for sharing that with me, Clay." She gave a few nods on the matter before perking up and giving him a slap on the back. "But hey, with those things behind us, I'm pretty sure we can make the best in the future. The Enclave certainly thinks so if they've gone so far as to entrust us with the next step on honouring the Resol'nare. We just have to find those tales and bring them back home."

[Claymore Wren]

"Yes, 18 years. I was an 13, which for my species is an adult by then. Arkanian Offshoots are genetically engineered, like a clone trooper, but I had parents, not a test tube. And I will only live until 50 or so. And, I'm 28 now." He said matter-of-factly. "So, if live is short, let's make it a fun ride down..."

"Like I said, you are part of my team and it's important to know who you are fighting with. Although, Raven and Jyrvess are the only people told this much. Maybe it's, because you're a Zeltron... I almost married a Zeltron, and I know all about your pheromones." He laughed. "She was a great woman, but it was not meant to be." In a more sober tone, "Yes, we should continue the journey the hunt for Carid."

[Soleene Stryss]

"A short fuse does burn brighter," she murmured with an appreciative nod, perhaps viewing Clay a little differently than before. He was more than halfway through his lifespan but it seemed like he really made the most of his years.

Soleene gave a few sound nods at the mention of his Zeltron ex. "It was on good terms, I hope? ...She's still around?" She asked carefully on the matter.

[Claymore Wren]

He laughed at the fuse comment. "It was on good terms, much or less. She's still alive as far as I know. I haven't heard from her in a few years now." He looked off to the right, "It was during the five-ish years I was in Hutt space. I came back from there a few years ago now."

[Soleene Stryss]

"Aw, well...terms do often change in this crazy galaxy but that is good to hear at least. Sometimes things just change right back, we'll see." She gave a small shrug at the uncertainty of it all.

"But, yeah, let's continue on this hunt for Carid. Speaking of that, I think we're going to be heading out soon enough. I better leave you back to your tinkering if you have any last-minute things to do, Clay." She gave him a tap on his arm before extended arm over forward as if to offer some solidarity on this journey that they were going to take together. "Oya!"

"Oya!" He said giving her a nod and a smile. "Hum, I think I have a mess that needs cleaning up." He said to himself.

[Soleene Stryss]

"Haha, all right. I'll leave you to it, Clay. Catch you later and ret'urcye mhi." She chuckled as she gave him a salute and departed from the workshop.
