Nassian Bulb Flower [Day 10, Event, Mid-Evening]

[Meiyokashi]

With a last moment of them meeting up, the larger portion of their team were all dressed in maintenance outfits. They were ready, having all the tools for what they'd need prepared with a map toward their destination laid out for them and a few other options for how to get in and out prepared. With the one of them that stuck out being Tenzing, dressed in officer regalia, he was the first who would have to go in first alone to get another entrance open for them.

Before sending him on his way, Mara took him to the side and thanked him specifically as he was the one walking in alone first to make their way together. Hugging him prior to allowing him to head toward the mission. With the stuff about to go down by the spaceport there was a time-limit on getting in there before Imperial security would suddenly get far far tighter.

[Event Details:]

This event is an encounter with the goal of retrieving information, and maybe even a rescue.
While this encounter is designed for Specialists, it is only natural that combat may arise if they are caught and left with no other options.
Be prepared, be clever, and get the job done.

[The SCaT Droid]

A strange sight compared to what would normally be his day to day gear, SCaT comes in a maintaince uniform with a welder's helmet covering his entire face. The uniform has various markings indicating warning labels so as to comply with any local safety standards.

[Tenzing]

Tenzing tried not to dwell on the fact that some of his battle brothers had chosen to wear this uniform of their own accord. Maggie had helped him with the disguise, which involved a change of appearance that made him look like a new man...different clone...whatever. The point was, he had a mission.

Mara's hug was unexpected but he appreciated the gesture. He gave Mylar some friendly banter about how the papers better be in order and wished the rest of team luck. Then it was time to set off. He had never played his own evil twin before.

[Jaxom Ursae]

Jaxom stood next to the droid. He mad a quick check to make sure he had everything he might need. The holdout blaster and reload were hidden. He doubted he'd need the lockbox. How could his father have prepared something for this? He didn't want to let it out of his reach, though. It was in the toolbox he carried.

[Manny Donos]

Manny looked down at his overalls. "I like these. Big pockets. Plenty of room for eggs! Or, y'know, whatever."

Besides that, he was geared up and ready to go!

[Torr Po]

Torr walks up awkwardly pulling at the overalls. His stun cloak and outfit concealed under the overalls, concealing robe might pass for a rain poncho, and his sap gloves should easily pass as utility gloves. In his tool box was a lockpick set that might come in handy.

"Alright tell it to me straight, I look ridiculous don't I?"

[Manny Donos]

"No way, bro! You look great!" Manny raised his hand for a fist bump. Actually, they all looked a bit ridiculous, but, well, Manny rated his vests by shininess level.

[Torr Po]

"No way, bro! You look great!" Manny raised his hand for a fist bump.

Torr reciprocates the gesture, bro's out with Manny, then give's a thumbs up to the crew. "We got this! I'm ready when you are."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"At least we didn't have to wear the officer uniform." Jaxom shrugged.

Setting off Tenzing would approach the main front of the building. Through the glass wall-vestibule into the large open space of sleek and oppressive design within. Officers mingle around in the space, as well as a few of the more common staff for the Spire who are all properly vetted. It wasn't until some ways into the main entry area that he would come upon the security inspection. Had it not been for the rather impressive AC system that kept the entire space a nice even temperature Tenzing might have broken a sweat but he presses forward unbidden.

Far as he could hope, the documents were in order. Which just meant he had to play the part as best he could right here and right now.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group makes their way around to the back. Lead by Mara and Mylar they go over the plan once more, the main objective is the lower labs but if possible for some of the team to get into Novar's office and see what might be lying around it could help them. Much as a risk as splitting up might be- it'd also potentially be just as risky to keep constantly on top of one another as a large group moving through would draw suspicions. Mara lays out the fact that there may be other side objectives they can accomplish while inside but she leaves trust to the specialists, the group, to decide if anything else is worth pursuing. With, of course, the natural reminder of the risks involved and to not overextend themselves.

It was a difficult task even for someone more skilled. Imperial Security were notorious assholes...

As Tenzing steps up to the security scan and begins placing down what things he needs to pass through unbothered, he's bothered. A middle-aged Imperial officer walks near to him, eyeing him suspiciously.

"Have I seen you before?" he asks, a sneering smirk, leaning back against the other side of the security check.

[Deception vs Hard, Two Setback same reasons as before.]

"I'll likely need a 'handler, someone who can help me through the polite conversations as I do the mechanical stuff. They're probably expect some quality of life repairs of some sort, I can use that as an excuse to look through basic building security, gauge their network security and figure out our plans going forward. We can do this first part together since we're registered as a team.

[Tenzing]

Tenzing looked at Captain Douchecanoe and smirked. Leaning in he looked around and then whispered something. A long moment passed between them, then he chuckled all friendly like. Jerking a thumb at the officer he looked at the security staff and said: "This guy huh? What a comedian. "

One of the other officers steps forward as Tenzing comes through, now beside Captain Douchecanoe. However, the other officer had an apologetic expression as he hands Tenzing back his documents and things from the other side of the security check, "Look, back in the Clone Wars you and your boys helped my family. Some of the others don't remember that," he gives a glance toward the other officer. "Besides, I remember seeing you at the Mixer the other night. Can't get invited there without creds," he smiles and gives Tenzing a nod, handing him a small keycard. "Anyone else bothers you, show them that and they'll know I gave you the all clear, eh?"

Meanwhile, the antagonizing officer shut up and glared. Watching Tenzing closely with that air of suspicion. Hopefully it'd be the last he saw of him but.. who knew.

At least, Tenzing was free to move on into the Spire.

[Tenzing]

With a nod Tenzing took the keycard and shook the second officer's hand. "Thanks, and you're welcome."

Head held high he got the fuck up outta there. Once he was out of sight of the security checkpoint he swiftly made his way through the building to find the service elevator access. There was a team of maintenance engineers who needed to clean this place up, in more ways than one.

[Meiyokashi]

Seeing him off the friendly officer returns to his post and the other stalks away. Tenzing makes his way through toward the inner halls of the building. Coming through a door as a patrol of two unfeeling stormtrooper masks look at him and then continue onward. Passing another standing guard in the grey halls he's offered a tip of the hat by a younger officer as he exits one of the elevators. Getting inside Tenzing goes down a floor, through a hall, and walks out into a large muggy loading bay. Walking through crates and passing humans all working with machines he heads toward a smaller door, a terminal nearby. Tapping through a few basic credentials prepared for him by Mylar he gets the door open.

As the door opens Mylar, who was ready, gives a nod toward everyone else. Walking in he pulls the ball-cap down over his eyes a little bit more and shoves his other hand in his pocket. Mara waits for the others, checking everyone's accounted for, and takes up the rear. As they all link up with Tenzing she gives him a brief smile, "Everything go okay?" she asks, the tone only a touch nervous.

Next up on their mission was to decide if they went straight for the main objective, of which they were aware of a couple paths. One being a broken wall in a maintenance closet on the opposite side of the building or they could always try and take an elevator down to the labs. As well, provided by another member of the resistance was the information on the location of a room in the lab section where they could exchange for a few scientist garbs instead of the maintenance wear they were currently sporting.

Otherwise, additional objectives like Novar's office were also on the table.

Mara waits for the others, checking everyone's accounted for, and takes up the rear. As they all link up with Tenzing she gives him a brief smile, "Everything go okay?" she asks, the tone only a touch nervous.

Tens gave a short smile. "Coulda been smoother, but hey, here I am." He briefly flashed the keycard. "In case of emergencies." It went into a pouch on his utility belt.

"So, straight to it, or have you got a burning desire to explore?"
