[Raven Cadera]

"Yeah..." she agreed with a heavy tone and a drawn-out sigh. But it seemed to be one of relief at least, perhaps feeling some kindredness of Soleene understanding.

"And yeah. The future, it seems more certain since I met the Rebuilder. And my husband. Both of them have been much help to me in finding my way forward, how I can best honor my family and be a good Mandalorian." Raven's smile at least was sincere as she looked at her fellow sister. "Surely, it must be something similar for you, that made you join our people?"

[Soleene Stryss]

"They've been able to give me a lot of perspective on the future, that's for sure," she nodded once. "Truth be told, I'm kind of eager to see how it'll pan out. There's no denying that I'm probably rough on the edges, just looking for that opportunity to smooth them out in a way. Fighting is probably the easy part, admittedly, seeing destination after all the smoke clears is probably harder."

She bobbed her head again in a few nods, thoughtful and listening to what Soleene was saying.

"Heh, nothing wrong with being rough around the edges for a Mandalorian," she said with a playful grin. "Dredgen's as rough as they come, and he's Mando'ade through and through. But... yeah, I agree, it's hard to see the future. How it will be. I leave that to those who are the leaders, to be honest. Like Mand'alor and those closest to him. How we will best restore our people's glory and reclaim our homes from the Imperials."

[Soleene Stryss]

"Of course, it's a cause I'm fully committed to and fully strapped in for the ride." Soleene couldn't help but tilt her head slightly at that and tap a finger on her elbow in thought. "Although, don't know if you can just leave it to others as easily as you may think. You're going to be married to a leader and you're going to be close to Mand'alor, yeah? Closer than many of us. Also, it doesn't seem like Praxton is going to expect you to stay in the back for that."

"I... don't think I'm any more qualified to be a leader, just because of marriage..." Raven awkwardly looked away, running a gloved hand through her black hair. Or should I? Kriff, I didn't think about anything like that.

"Mandalorians must prove themselves worthy of such, after all. But if I prove worthy of it, I will do all I can to not disappoint."

She gave a shake of her head, agreeing with Raven. "No, I never thought that Praxton would just give you a spot just because you're married to him, or anyone else just because you're Praxton's wife. You have to earn everything. Well, maybe I don't know how fully things work around here but I'd think that you'll fall into the habit...probably? You probably have enough to do as is, anyway. It's not like the galaxy is known for peace right now and it's looking like things are going to be busy around here. It just seems like nobody gets to go about things casually. Everyone has to do their part."

"Yeah," she chuckled dryly. "There certainly is no peace any time soon in the galaxy, and certainly not for our people. Not as long as the Empire holds Mandalore, and the Saxons continue to bow down to them."

Raven offered Soleene a friendly pat on the arm. "I think you seem to be doing a good job of fitting in here. Don't be worried about that."

[Soleene Stryss]

"Yeah, the Saxons," she murmured the name with a bit of uncertainty about them but the frown was likely evident in her tone. "It's going to feel like a strange day if we don't face off against them any time soon. Wherever there's smoke...I would bet that the Empire would send their lapdogs if they see any of us around as they figured they could get the job done. It'll be interesting, that's for sure."

Soleene paused and looked at where she was patted on the arm before letting out a chuckle. "Hah! You really think so? It's worth something coming from you, you better be sure before you vouch for me."

"We will face them. When, I don't know, but I am certain that they will not allow us much respite to build our strengths," she spoke with a reserved certainty, feeling very ready to take on the Saxons soon.

The response made her grin. "Yes. I believe so. It's probably only a matter of time before the armorer will forge your beskar'gam, I'm certain."

"It would be insulting if they did take it easy on us, actually," she snickered at that thought. "Are they supposed to be Mandalorians? I wouldn't be too surprised if standing by the Imperials and eating from the sloop they get might have made them lethargic and dull, it would make them half of they could have been. Well, maybe that's not the actual case and a dangerous idea but still amusing to consider."

She gave a few tilts of her head, looking like she was flattered by the thought as she laughed under breath. "Probably. I don't want to get too excited about until it's a sure thing, obviously. Being counted is probably a reward on its own."

Raven laughed along with the conjured images of the Saxons behaving as loyal dogs to the Empire. "Yes, that is an amusing idea to consider. I... just hadn't thought of it in such a comical way before." She grinned sheepishly, but seemed rather entertained by the idea.

"Nevertheless, we will all have more than enough opportunities to prove ourselves in the times ahead."

Her helmet nodded once at that, "I'd ask what lies ahead for us but it seems unfair with what you have your mind on now, Raven. Well, I'm sure that could wait for another day, that opportunity isn't going to run away from us if we're always chasing it."

There was a warmth to her laughter and expression. "You'll have to forgive me that my thoughts at the moment are a bit preoccupied with other things not related to the greater future of our people." A sheepish chuckle accompanied the statement, making her seem a little flustered or bashful.

"But I shouldn't keep you too long, hm? Thank you though, for delivering my husband's message."

"Nah, don't think much of it. It was nice talking to you. I should get back to keeping an eye around here, don't want to miss the next contest around here, right?" Soleene said with what could have been a wink in her word. It was hard to tell with the helmet, visor and everything else. She straightened her posture and nodded. "Yeah, I'll see you around then."

With that, she went back to her previous viewing spot.

"See you around, sister," she gave Soleene a nod in return, and watched her depart for a moment.

Finding herself a lone again for now, she glanced towards the passage Praxton had gone... she'd see him later, Raven reminded herself. Taking a deep breath, she returned to the various groups in the hall, making sure that people were having a good time.
