The Sith and Jedi have fought for centuries, since before my people vanished from this galaxy. They view the dark side as a path to corruption and evil. They aren't entirely wrong the dark side is seductive and easy to access. It can cause someone to become dependant on it like a drug. It takes discipline to use it and not be lost to it. I can show you these ways but you have to know the risks involved." He said seriously fixing her with his eyes reflecting the seriousness of his words.

(Deonis has known about Shoula and Phroth since before the last interim. He would have just assumed Dhel knew because they shared a ship."

For a moment, Dhel makes light of the moment with a small smile and, "That sounds a lot like commitment...which is not my strong suit, you know?"

But she settles, meeting his yellow eyes, one hand stroking absentmindedly through his hair "Does it make sense that I kind of feel safer learning from someone who's been taught that way and found a path to balance than starting by learning balance and being lost when I can't hold onto it?"

She bites her lip, worrying it. "Are you stuck with me, if you agree to show me this? LIke, once you've taught me things, I can't learn from anyone else? Am I asking way more than I thought I was?"

He chuckles "I don't know if I've found it yet but I'm trying." The smile he gives her is genuine "you can trust me though. I would not lead you down a path that would hurt you."

He took a deep breath "I won't lie to you. It is a commitment, to walk the path I walk takes discipline. You'll have to listen to me for me to teach you that. In many ways I am still learning but I will help you as much as I can. It is a two way street. You would be giving me authority, promising to listen. Trust. In return I teach. Protect. Advise." He paused "it is often almost spiritual how one interacts with the Force."

He kissed her forehead and gently placed his against hers "you don't have to answer today. You can take time to think. It isn't something done lightly. But if you want it I will give you as much guidance as I can."

She takes a deep breath, her hands locking behind his head as she thinks. Finally asking, "You know how you might get handed a strange drink and kind of take a sip before deciding if you really want to drink it? Is that an option?"

"I do trust you. Which is maybe odd on such short acquaintance and all. But I really don't think you'd ever hurt me on purpose." her fingers unlace as she kisses the bridge of his nose, smiling. "Does that sort of training mean I have to stop kissing you though? Because that's a big thing to ask."

He chuckled "of course. It's not like you can't leave once you start. It can be more dangerous to be partially trained but I would try to teach you in a way that avoided that."

To the second part he grew thoughtful "it would be something to be careful of. In a way I would become a mentor. I trust you to make the right decision for yourself. I would not ever want to use that relationship to my advantage but lines can be blurry there I think."

Now she does kiss him gently. "You haven't pushed for anything I wasn't offering pretty openly. Not once. I think I trust you not to take advantage." There's a thoughtful moment, "But hmm...Jealousy? I don't have a marker for that. Possessive isn't a vibe I get from you at all though. Part of the comfort. But that doesn't mean envy or jealousy couldn't cause issues. That give and take you mention...I do get that. I don't promise I'll be great at it right off...that's a thing to learn too." She sounds more and more like the decision is made on some level. It's just working through the steps.

"Will you stay here? There's a lot to work on, but also hunters. Or..." there's an odd hesitation before she asks, "would it make sense to ask Manny if there's room for one more?" It's actually been on her mind a fair bit these past few days, which way she would go when the ship had become such a home for her.

Deonis leaned into the kiss savoring the feel of her. As they parted and she spoke he thought for a moment "Jealousy is not an emotion I am familiar with. I cannot promise I will never feel it. If I do that will be my issue to deal with not yours." He said calmly.

To the rest he had to think even more "it is not a short or simple process. I myself was trained for over a decade and still didn't finish. There are things I wish to do here. Healing the Grotto. Dealing with the Swamp. Helping the Resistance." He brushed her cheek gently with his thumb "Not sure if it is safe to stay though. Manny would have me I would be grateful but I can look to find my own way to follow you if you leave."

Nodding slowly she takes it in, entirely unused to such calm certainty discussing emotions. "I think maybe when things cool off a bit, I'd like to come back. Work on those things. My family is here, and friends. And if everyone who knows about the swamp and this grotto flee...I guess it's not likely to be fixed."

Dhel freezes for a moment at his last line, blinking in a bit of shock. "You'd do that?" In a different context--well she'd had an obsessive stalker or two who would have made her feel very differently if they said anything close to that--but this was different. "Follow me?" There's a long breath in and out. "That's part of that commitment, huh? And...dealing with some of the danger that tracks with you is on me too, yeah?"

"I guess those self-defense tips are going to be a thing too then." She smiles a bit, kissing his forehead. "I'm asking kind of a lot."

"Indeed. If no one works on it it will stay the same. Or get worse." The calm he expressed was mostly new to him to balance his passion in other areas.

"As long as I am still guiding you and you wished it. Yes I would follow you. Naturally being around me poses some danger. Inquisitors already know who I am. Are actively looking for me. Will look for you too but you'll be under my protection as well. Any dangers, from me or not, I will defend you from." He smiled softly as she kissed his head his hand tightening on her waist.

Dhel eases against him, following the slight pressure at her waist, her arms wrapping around with a comfortable sigh. "Yeah. I think...that's what I should do. I think it's too late for me to be safe. And I think, even if I know I'm not good at staying, with you...I would keep swinging back around?" Her hands knead gently on his broad back, squeezing and releasing slowly with her breath.

"Thank you." Pulling back a little, she moves as if to kiss him again, then stops, lips compressing into a line as she redirects to rub her cheek against his. "No. I don't want the habit of...of wanting to show you how I'm grateful like that," she says quietly beside his ear. "I'll still want you in a bit, when the feeling of...of needing to repay you isn't so big." At least some previous habits serve her well. There's no question to this, whether it's ok or not. It's just what she's decided and there it is.

he nodded as if he understood and he did in a way but not fully having walked an entirely different path in life. He simply brushed his cheek back against hers "However you wish to show gratitude is fine. Or not show it all. I do it for you not for thanks." he said back softly near her ear.

Dhel takes the edge of his ear between her teeth, biting lightly as her hands tighten on his back again, the slightest expression of so many large feelings at once. Pulling back slightly to see his eyes--and keep her teeth someplace more polite, frankly--she asks simply, "why?"

His muscles tense at the pressure on his ear and his own arms tighten around her a small grunt escaping his throat.

He looks at her levelly "You were kind to me. You took an interest in me. You did not judge me, or fear me. You are an interesting person and you have a good heart. That is why I like you. Yes you are beautiful, one of the most beautiful people I have known. But this." he put one finger to her chest over her heart "and this." he moved that finger to her temple "are why I am drawn to keep coming back to you."

"As for why I wish to help you with the Force." He shrugs "It is the right thing to do. I care for you. I can help you. I should help you." he spoke the words like they were simple fact, like he wouldn't know what else she might expect from him.

"Oh." From him, it's a waterfall of words, and she gathers them up to hold close.

She never quite stills, thumbs brushing along his shoulder blades, hip shifting against his thigh. Beginning to nod a bit as he finishes, her hands come up to cup his face between them, fingtips brushing back from his temples. "Yeah. I think I finally get something Raven said, about being better with one another." She leans in to kiss his forehead. Holding there for a long breath.

"And this," a kiss is placed on one cheek, "is not for gratitude," and then the other. There's an edge of mirth as she says, "It's because you are really easy on the eyes...and I'm finding depths of wanting I didn't think..." A slight shake of her head as one hand slips back through his hair drawing him into a kiss that says more than the rest of the words tangled up in unruly emotions.

She doesn't plan to let go any time soon.

He doesn't quite know what she means talking about what Raven said. He only knows that Raven is very wise and so it is no surprise that Dhel found deep meaning to her words. Deonis had done the same. He did understand emotions and he understood, on some level the emotions he saw from Dhel that matched his own.

A small sound of appreciation left his lips with each kiss on the cheek and he was tempted to speak but when she said he was easy on the eyes but someone had once told him he talked to much. He took that lesson to heart and met her in passionate embrace, holding her close.

She feels that passion, a warmth, a caring something deeper bit the passion grows into wanting, into desire and hunger that felt familiar but maybe also different. After some time he pulls back from her his eyes have a bright smoldering glow to them, actually shining with that ethereal yellow light. "If we want to continue this. We should find a new place. Doesn't feel right. To lose oneself to passion. In this place." His voice is thick with emotions and desire an almost growling quality to the words.

There's a small sound of protest, hands tightening as if to hold them there as Dhel meets his eyes. Perhaps it's that glow that gives her pause, a moment to reflect. Her eyes close, hands loosening their grip with a long indrawn breath. "I'm listening."

She steps back, leaving room for him to rise, one hand tracing down his arm to settle in his much larger one. "Lead the way," she says with a voice loaded with feeling, and a firm squeeze of hand.

Deonis leads her away from the grotto through the crack, grabbing his armor as they go but not worrying about putting it on. He would just have to take it off again. Where they went wasn't important, only that it wasn't there, in that place. As they relocated his hand found reasons to be on Dhel the entire way, touching, caressing, even a little groping along with a mischievous hungry smile.

Once they found a suitable location, secluded, dry, less swampy. He would sweep her up in his powerful arms "now where were we?" He would say in a passionate yet a little playful voice as he kissed her again and allowed himself to be lost in that feeling of being with her.

And Dhel, follows his lead, as she's offered to, right down to touches that tease as much as promise, leaving words for later.

She's still surprised by how she enjoys the way he can effortlessly hold her, how that aura of something dangerous around him becomes a thing she can be protected within. There's a sense beyond the simply physical, as if he's capable of understanding where she's coming from just as effortlessly or at least waiting with that calm he's shown her until he does understand.

She cups his face with both hands once more. "Right where we want to be," she murmurs with a smile before losing herself to that kiss, to that shared passion.
