looking through the desk Manny takes his time going over it. Someone needs to stand watch, and as there's really only one place for someone to start going through the desk one person could stand by the door enough to keep watch without disturbing the flow of turning over the room. Eventually, Manny would find a small holo-diary left by Dr. Novar behind in the rush to leave. Lucky as this was, he would have to have the thought to plug it into the terminal to get it to play. However, when he does it prompts him for a passcode.

From something Raven shared with the group before they parted into the mission was that Novar's sisters name was Orianna.

[Dr. Fianna Novar]

Entering the name would reveal the datalog, a final entry which seemed important:

Dr. Novar appears as a Holo-projection. Looking forward with the air of nobility to her which she still carries, a certain kind of detachment which separates her from the average person. When she speaks she speaks with a thick Imperial accent, "Final data-log.. for prosperity I am recording my final thoughts on the project should I ever chance to encounter it's like again. Our final.. and most impressive subject has taken to the treatments rather well. Aggressive responses are down but there is a lack of control we possess over the process which has caused those in command to pull support for the project. After all, they are waging difficult battles all across the Empire with the goal of maintaining the stability we have found. Something they had hopes for in this project aiding us in ending these conflicts sooner.." she shifts, moving something that wasn't picked dup during recording.

"A shame.. but, it is the Empire which sustains my research and so to the Empire I must answer. Soon after I depart.. I do not know what they will do with my research samples nor test subjects. I do- however, hope they handle them all with care. After all my research was that which strengthened the subject considerably and made it prone to even the slightest agitation. Keeping such subjects controlled.. or at least calm, is most important.."

The projection shifts from Dr. Novar's image to that of a long readout of scientific data. With the very last portion seeming to be a profile for the supposed subject which appears to reveal as little as possible until the very end...

SCaT keeps watch from the inside of the door, having the advantage to see them before they could see him. The neural recorder he has also allows for a separate recording of the message so the information can be heard later.

He looked at Torr. "Did you kick it when I wasn't looking?"

"Me? Nahh!" Torr grins mischievously then stows the trooper away nicely after depriving him of his gear.

He and Manny set about ransacking the office. Once he saw the name he sighs, "Well if that isn't a skank in the scud pie, I don't know what is. Wanna let the other team know?"

"I'll do it, give me a second to isolate the part where they give his vitals." With that SCaT takes a good look at the video recording at the numbers and then calls Mylar. "Mylar come in, we got info for you. We have confirmed that they have been experimenting on Dace Kayde. They were reducing aggressiveness but stopped once the Empire cut funding, not sure what it means for the future. Wished I could just send you the data."

[Torr Po]

Meanwhile Torr goes into the hall to keep watch.

[Mylar]

"I'll do it, give me a second to isolate the part where they give his vitals." With that SCaT takes a good look at the video recording at the numbers and then calls Mylar. "Anything else we need to know?" he asks over Comm.

"Says keeping them calm is most important, they are prone to even the slightest agitation. "

[Mylar]

A pause, "Thanks- stay safe, alright? We'll talk more when we get a plan out of here," he says, and then closes the communication for the moment.

[Meiyokashi]

At that moment there's a call on the unconscious guards commlink, calling in for him to report.

Torr scrambles for the comm link, "Just did a sweep of the top floor, all clear here."

There is no answer from the other side, and you're all pretty certain that means using the elevator to get down probably isn't the best idea. You'll have to find another way off this floor, and fast.

"Hey, can that climbing gear hold all of us?" Manny asked, looking around frantically.

[The SCaT Droid]

(Ooc it can reduce encumbrance by 7, and a b1 unit can fold in on itself in the movies)

[Torr Po]

"I'm a climber remember. Use your ascension gun to lower yourself down. Then I'll slide down once you're grounded." Torr beckons the two forward.

SCaT looks down from the window, looking for something to land a hook onto

From their viewpoint, it's a little hard to tell as the surface of the building they're on is curved slightly as it nears the top- and they were near the top. However, from inside the room there were a few spots one might be able to attach the climbing gear they brought with them just in case to. Worst case- they could probably get down a few levels, blast open a window, and then sneak down from there.

[Manny Donos]

"It doesn't go down." Manny said. "Ummm... maybe if we tie the rope around ourselves, then we can all stick together while we climb?"

[The SCaT Droid]

"Combine that with the repulsor assist unit to make the climb safer, and we might be able to pull this off. Now to tie the rope and hold on."

[Manny Donos]

"I'm good with knots!" Manny said, moving to help. "I mean, I'm usually untying them, or making it so that you can untie them with just a tug. But don't worry, I won't do that this time! I promise!"

With that very worrying promise, Manny moved to help with the rope.
