[D1 - EA] Searching for the Maker (open)
Bixe's programming decided that first it needed a safe space and base of operation where it would be secure to start making its forays into the larger city and imperial garrison. The droid heard rumours about droids still active in this area, so, naturally it went searching for whatever could be lurking here.
Bixe, decided it was better to continue to have its infiltration protocols active for the time being, as it explored the dark region. The commando droid continued to be a shadow among shadows as it moved quietly through the rubble, scanning for anything in the nearby...

Finding a quiet and secured area for shelter in case something goes wrong is always a good idea in Richo's mind. The residential area was not the best area for it. While it had empty housing readily available there was still to many eyes and ears...also to much collateral damage potential.
Do the ruins it was, but better be sneaky as to not alert potential hostiles.

Re: [D1 - EA] Searching for the Maker (open)
BXE, for a moment, thinks it hears something. He wasn't sure what it was in the other building. Wasn't sure what he heard. Could be something
Unfortunately, as he was looking around, the droid kicked over a stone, which slammed into some glass, making a loud smash echo thru the open streets. For a few moments, there was nothing.
Before the droid could emulate a sigh of relief, and the Mandalorian could recover from the slip, a few human-looking beings started walk around.
One of them begins to look around the area of the two of you, checking for any sign of life. It becomes quite clear thru observation that they are not very good at their job and are really unable to find either of you in the search. Taking a few more moments to ensure they did their task, the Gonk slowly walks away, turning back once or twice in the process as if to try to surprise you to move before leaving the area completely.

Bixe's programming was telling the droid that such organic looked like a danger and its old protocols told it to stay quiet in observation state. That it had made an error of calculation and didn't noticed the rock and the glass certainly was an error that had to be corrected and new mathematical protocols must be developed in order to avoid this error in a future event.
In any case, the droid mantains it current position without moving, just observing and be wary of its enviroments, in order to avoid to be outflanked by another target...

Re: [D1 - EA] Searching for the Maker (open)
It takes a few minutes before you feel the urge to move again, but eventually it seems to be quiet enough to start moving. The question is, really, what is a good area to hold up in while you're in the lower areas. The ruined city below it all did offer plenty of options, but getting one where those Gonks wouldn't bother you would be a larger concern.
((You can roll me a perception check to determine the area itself is safe at average difficulty. After that, roll Warfare or Streetwise at a average difficulty, followed by a Ranged - Light or Heavy at a average difficulty. Increasing the difficulty of these rolls will allow you a better chance at a better location, if you succeed. Setback for vision should be included for the Perception check and the Ranged rolls.))

After the organic had gone away into a safe distance, the commando droid activated its wide scanning systems to perceive a good place to start exploring the region and to utilize as a safe spot where to avoid imperials.

You think you may be able to spot a good location to setup a sort of base camp. Looks to be somewhat out of the way of the patrols. However, getting their to give it a closer examination is going to get loud. Some debris blocks the way, and there's no forseeable means for you to remove it out of your way.
Once you have dealt with it the first time, it may get easier to hide, but getting there the first time is going to be tough.
((Upgrade the difficulty of you next check once.))

Sweet, hostiles!
Richo observed the raiders from his spot debating internally if he should engage or not. His finger was itchy but he was here with purpose...so no sport for now

He this kept quiet until they had gone which proved quicker then anticipated but he really could'nt find anything great...probably why he is not the best outrider.

Toboga thinks he also found a good spot around there. Then again, he wasn't much of a judge for all of this. Maybe it could work? It does seem sort of in the thick of things.

Finally Bixe made its final calculations. This was the place, certainly. There was no other better spot for defense in here, at least that was what its central processor was telling it.

Re: [D1 - EA] Searching for the Maker (open)
As you both finish your determinations of the holds you have found, it's safe to say that what you have found is...well...it could be worse.
I mean, you could be just out in the middle of the road.
Still, Toboga can be assured with a little bit of confidence that this particular location will do what he needs it to do. It's not perfect; even your limited knowledge on these things can tell that. However, you can at least take to heart that you will probably not get overrun that easily, should the worst happen.
BXE, on the other hand, finishes its analysis of the location. Fairly noisy to get to, but the vantage point is by far amazing. It seems that someone else thought the same thing. You stumble across a corpse of a Clone trooper there. The armor itself would be pointless to try to salvage or scavenge. You do, however, come across a somewhat functional DC-15 Blaster Rifle. Probably would take some time to get it back into proper working order, but it does have more than a few shots to use in a pinch. Be a good weapon to have in a large firefight if you can get it back to work. Also has a few attachments that could be picked off if using the weapon of a former foe is not your thing.
Clearly, this location did not work out for the Clone Trooper lying below you, but you shouldn't let that discourage you. You're clearly better than this meatbag was: you survived the war, after all.

Re: [D1 - EA] Searching for the Maker (open)
This was indeed an interesting find. Bixe's programming still was wary, in fact, at first the droid does not touch the body of the dead clone trooper nor his blaster. The old droid processor was warning that it was standard procedure to booby trap dead bodies in order to lure and destroy hostile targets. In fact BXE-322 had done exactly that before to Clone troopers during the Clone Wars.
For now the droid inspects the place more thoroughly, trying to see what did kill the enemy lying over there...

Re: [D1 - EA] Searching for the Maker (open)
Well, you feel confident that your old tricks weren't done with this Clone Trooper. A wise decision to check before you start grabbing some random weapons, naturally; a compliment to your programming, shoddy as it's been of late.
It doesn't take you long to realize that you had to really make a lot of noise and push hard to get here. It's quite possible the Republic fighters didn't even realize where he died or wasn't able to get to him if they did. As for how, it's really unclear. After all, you're a soldier, not a doctor damnit. Meatbags die way too easily with their flesh and organs. Few blaster marks on the armor, but that doesn't always mean it was the cause of death.

Re: [D1 - EA] Searching for the Maker (open)
Organics indeed died too easily. Bixe still remembers that in the thick of battle, some of the other units, could take several shots and continue to fight. Some droids like the IG magna could take full decapitation of their central processors located in their heads and continue to go on.
Nonetheless, the droid, feeling less wary picks up the gun this time and puts crossed around its chest. Knowing that it already had done a lot of noice it was rather obvious that someone could had picked that there was something lurking around here. Basic combat probabilities.
The droid looks around, scanning for some rubble that gives enough cover and good sight to the room and area, takes out its vibrosword, put it right next to it, ready for melee, take out its grenades from its 'waist' preparing them for quick throw on its left and takes out its functional heavy blaster rifle and prepares it.
Internally all its non essential-processes go to slumber, leaving only combat mode with full capabilities.
And it waits....

You are absolutely confident in this location's secure position and finish your preparations for the situation. You are confident now that whatever happened here will not be repeated again, should another shoot-out occur.
And so, you wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...
It's a good thing you were not a meatbag, because this whole waiting game would get pretty boring. Fortunately, those sort of ideas were not installed into your programming. Or if they were, they are now shut off. Combat mode is prime. You could stay in that exact spot for hours and not even care.

The mando was not quite sure about the base he found but he took a mental note of it. Maybe it could be used to set an ambush?
I guess I'll have to rest in the residential area. Perhaps I could gather intel while I rest?
He pondered the question as he began to make his way back...perhaps he could find those gonks again?
