Planetfall [D1|EA]

[Meiyokashi]

With some extremely fancy flying on Kagr's part it wasn't too long before the group was coming in on a path to land within the Badlands. Over the intercom he gives everyone the heads up and that they'll need to be ready to move as the Empire isn't going to be all too happy with undocumented travel in this system. However, before it clicks off Dredgen also comes over the ship intercom to inform everyone to expect a new friend where they're landing and to keep it cool.

Giving just a few more moments in the main-room before they land on Bellionas.

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene didn't ask for much details as to where they were going, although she probably should have. The hot weather would have at least prompted her to put on a few cool slap patches before putting on her armour for the landing. As much as she would have liked to hit the ground running, shooting, and punching, this probably worked out for the best. It was a bit of a buzzkill, however. Diplomacy before action, she supposed.

[Raven Cadera]

Apart from wolfing down an energy-bar, Raven had been silent and tense the entire flight. But even if her helmet covered her face it wasn't hard to tell that she was upset and angry.

So when Dredgen announced they'd be meeting a contact, she merely sighed and checked over her gear once more. Something that had been done several times already.

[Varina Ordo]

Varina passed the time by fiddling with her weapons. Her knife danced between her fingers, a small, delicate weapon, which made the risks of dropping it even greater. Sometimes she practiced different lengths with her garrote, definitely not even thinking about how Raven would take it. When they got closer to landing, she donned her sap gloves and stretched out her fingers.

What a violent kid...

Since they were about to meet somebody, she figured all the other peeps would be more inclined to do the talking. Maybe they wouldn't take her as a Mandalorian, without the armor and all.

[Dredgen]

"Meetings a bit of a detour," Dredgen said as he came into the main room, looking between the lot of them. Pausing for the momentary thought as he looked between them with a momentary focus on Raven. Shifting his gaze across the others he continued, "Friend I made recently enough. Has an offer that will be to whoever wants to take him up on it but it ain't what Mand'alor asked us here for. Just- might be something some of you will take an interest in lending a hand on."

Dredgen made his way over toward one of the lockers near the back, digging through it and attaching some needed bits onto his armor.

[Claymore Wren]

Claymore doesn't notice if the ride was bumping or anymore. He is so uses to crazy piloting at this point in his life. He sits and checks his slicing gear with it hooked up to his datapad. He does a diagnostic with a random set of numbers. He looking the readouts as they go.

It dawns on him that this must look odd to most Mandalorians, but they are likely too busy with their own things to notice.

[Raven Cadera]

T-shaped visors stared at one another as Raven met Dredgen's shielded gaze. Her shoulders rising as it looked like she was about to say something, then dropping once more.

She didn't want detours. She didn't want more strangers right now. But, she didn't have the energy to argue, for what she had she was saving for the confrontation ahead.

Realising her hands were tensing up, she consciously relaxed and flexed them a few times. "... Will it be a long detour?" she finally asked, her words restrained.

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene gave a tilt of her head at the mention detour. Here she was assuming that it was a lead to their hunt. Hell of a time to be doing side quests. She crossed her arms and cleared her throat slightly as she shifted slightly in her spot. There was probably a frown under her helmet.

[Dredgen]

"No, just a few words shared. We've got out business here but it might not be something that'll occupy all our time.. besides," he finished getting together some of his things and the ship lurched awkwardly, as if it was setting down on uneven ground. Kagr could be heard stirring calmly from his seat in the cockpit, meaning they were probably at their destination.

"Figure those of us here like to help where they can," he said with an uncommon distance before heading toward the ramp. Ensuring they were set down before he extended it to meet the ground below. Door opening with a gust of hot wind that swept up into the ship and immediately assaulted the comfort of being inside.

Shrugging it off Dredgen went down the ramp first to the side of a young Mirialan sat in the passenger seat of a speeder with some off-roading capabilities. Nearby was another individual dressed mostly in black armor with a brown cloth worn around his shoulders but he didn't seem all that interested in the meeting itself.

[Raven Cadera]

Raven merely nodded, and rose from her seat as she felt the ship touch down. Normally she would be the type to help out where she can, so right now she was more annoyed that Dredgen had pulled her into it this time.

Adjusting the sling of her carbine to be easily accessible on her shoulder, she followed behind Dredgen down the ramp, the gust of hot air whipping at her well-worn cloak that shielded her from the worst of the weather.

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene would let a few more go ahead of her before she would go down the ramp. She gave the two figures a lookover before turning her gaze to the others to see if it rang any bells. With a shrug, she continued down to follow Dredgen to meet their contacts. This was his show, although whether or not they were going to be the star of it remained to be seen.

[Varina Ordo]

Varina flicked open the strap holding her blaster pistol and headed down the ramp behind the bigger Mandalorians, hood drawn over her head. If things went poorly, then she'd get to show Manny "Both Hands" how drawing a pistol really worked.

Ugh, stupid name. He's "No Girlfriend" for sure.

[Julo]

"Dredgen," the Mirialan gave an easy smile even if it was clear there was a bit of nervousness to him. Using his arms to shift himself in the seat within the speeder to more directly look at those coming off the ship. "And- everyone else," he gave that same easy smile again, forced a little to work beyond the nervousness.

"Heard a lot about you all. Couple of you are even responsible for helping out back home," he glanced between the group but focused on Varina a little as she was the only one who wasn't wearing the same face as the others. "Hoping that maybe you'll be able to find it in your hearts to help out here when and where you can? If you've got the spare energy for it."

[Raven Cadera]

Raven tried to place the face, but drew a blank. Maybe he looked like someone she had met, but she wasn't sure about going down the line of risking the 'all Mirialans look alike'-thought.

But 'back home' at least pinged something in her recollection. "Kamda, yes?" she asked for confirmation, trying to choke down the tension in her voice. Unless the group had done something elsewhere without her, which wasn't impossible. "... depends on the job?"

[Claymore Wren]

Claymore pops his datapad off from his slicing gear, and sets it down on another seat. He stands up and puts the slicing gear in his military pack. Then puts the pack on his back and grabs Snowflake from the overhead storage.

Clay strides down the ramp and adjusts his neck.

[Julo]

"Not much of a job.. exactly, but more I was hoping you folk would be willing to lend a hand again. Nerra told me a lot about how you and yours were instrumental with things back on Kamda a year ago," he raised one of his hands and placed it on his chest. "Something I appreciate greatly. Helped finish something me and my friends once tried to do ourselves. Shame it didn't work out as well as we hoped.." he shook his head.

"I'm getting carried away again," he chuckles briefly, and the figure nearby grunts. "I'm just hoping that if I inform you and yours of a need you might make yourselves open to helping about. Mara Kayde is a local, a woman with parents who have spoken on behalf of the people time and time again. She's a good kid and could make use of a few able bodied hands. Most folk know you all as warriors, but Nerra gave me a mighty good speech about how that's not all your people are good for."

[Soleene Stryss]

"Well, if we're here anyway...I don't really see a reason to not help out." She gave a few nods as she gave a look at her brothers and sisters on the prospect before turning her attention to Julo. "And for the recap, what were you hoping would work out on Kamda versus what actually happened?"

[Raven Cadera]

Raven glared for a moment at Dredgen. Stupid brother dragging her into this stuff when she just wanted... grrrr...

Kriffin' kriff of a kriff. Fine. FINE!

Turning her attention to Julo, Raven dipped her head once in confirmation. "If you need warriors, I will fight for the cause again," she said simply, albeit with some grump to her even if she seemed sincere in her words. As if she found herself being pressured to do something she already wanted to do.

Crossing her arms, she looked at Dredgen briefly once more, muttering something in Mando'a that he was a bothersome busybody of a nerf. Their usual banter.

[Claymore Wren]

Claymore hits the down of the ramp and looks around at his surroundings. Not seeing anything out of place, he walks on to the group. He puts his shield on his back where the military pack has a bracket to hold it.

He decides to wait for more information before talking.

[Varina Ordo]

Varina was still keeping her mouth shut, at least for the group. Seemed like more Resistance-related stuff that needed extra hands, though ones that didn't need Mandalorians to use their weapons sounded a bit weird.

At the very least, she restrapped her blaster and crossed her arms. Didn't seem like they were going to have two sudden betrayals all of a sudden. But hopefully this Mirialan's wasn't inevitable and would only happen based on circumstance.
