(D1 ME) Buying Food is...

[Varina Ordo]

Anyone who saw her probably knew she was some sort of vagabond. Her entire life looked like it was on her back. Even if her clothes looked like middle-class atheleisure, wasn't she a bit young too to be wandering around without anyone else? It wasn't like she was shopping with her friends either. Totally what a normal teen girl would do.

Varina checked the pockets of her pants and even her jacket. She was still definitely poor. All that time before, she'd been treated by her dad to meals and then Raven's wedding! Fortunately she'd gorged herself with enough celebratory food that she could technically last awhile without food.

Apparently there was some sort of vagabond/bear hybrid in these parts, the type that gorged on food before fasting for an extended period. A bearabond perhaps? Not that Carden noticced that on first glance. He was far too busy lookign for a cheap resturant to walk into and grab a quick bite

Apparently he had sme sort of meeting soon? Mylar had mentioned something. Approaching a likely spot, Carden gave the young vagabear a polite nod as she neared.

Varina did a double take when she saw the man pass by her. He looked friendly enough, maybe enough to buy her a meal. At the very least, he wasn't gruff in the way all of those Mandalorians she'd hung out with were.

But there was an even more important question to ask about. "Do you have a girlfriend?" She held up her hands, definitely embarrassed. "Not asking for me or a friend. Just, uh, came to mind. Yeah."

"Not a pick up line then?" Carden asked with a smirk, as he truened to get a better look at the young lady. "Suppose that's easy enough to answer."

"At the moment no, but I've only been here a few hours so far. So who knows what will happen by this time tomorrow."

[Varina Ordo]

"No, not a pickup line. You're too old for me, well, not that you're old." Varina scratched the back of her head. This guy did look like he had the money to take care of himself. And money meant free food!

"You can get a girlfriend that fast?" She started wondering if Praxton could do that. Goodness, how was she going to help Raven with the whole stabbing thing anyways when she barely knew how to find her own mother? "Is it really that easy?"

[Carden Willhol]

"Glad to know i'm not old." Carden replied with a laugh, looking the young lady over for a moment. She did seem rather young, but he wasn't much older when he went wandering the galaxy on his own.

"Easy? Not sure I'd call it easy." He reached out a hand and ran it through his hair. "But I likely could manage." He added with a smirk. "If I was looking."

"At the very least I could manage a date."

[Varina Ordo]

"I see, I see." Varina crossed her arms, mulling over her options. "Were you looking for a place to eat? We could chat about the art of getting girlfriends over dinner or something." Whether she was going to use this information to help Manny or taunt him with it was yet to be seen...

[Carden Willhol]

"First you are asking me if I have a girlfriend, second you're asking if I want dinner." He shook his head and smirked. "Good thing I know you're too young for me, and that you aren't flirting." Carden finished with a chuckle.

"You're not wrong though, I am after a meal, and you seem like you want to learn a bit about dating." He eyed the young woman for a moment. "For a friend maybe?"

"I think you'd know if I was flirting," Varina said, rolling her eyes. Still, she was a little bit embarrassed asking the dude so many questions. "I do have a friend, though. His nickname is 'No Girlfriend' so I've been curious how someone ends up that way permanently."

[Carden Willhol]

"Well, as a female you may know a bit more about that then I do." Carden replied with a smirk. "Otherwise you might not just be friends? Right?" Stepping up to the resturant he opened the door to let the young lady in.

"I suppose you can tell me a bit about him though and I'll see what I can tell ya."

[Varina Ordo]

"Do I?" Varina furrowed her brow, deep in thought. "I guess girls decide if somebody is going to have a girlfriend or not."

She didn't bother thanking him when he opened the door. That definitely wasn't her style. "I don't know. He's pretty quick, does magic tricks, that sort of thing.'

[Carden Willhol]

"Right, it's not like a guy can just walk up and say. 'You're my girlfriend!' Or somethign like that." Or at least they shouldn't. "If you can think of a few reasons you wouldn't date him, could be that it's the same for other ladies too."

"Does magic tricks, but you don't know what he's like? So does that mean you think he is boring?" Carden asked with a slight smirk.

"Has that never worked before?" Varina asked. She was sure there were crazier things in the galaxy than that happening. "As for him, he's too much of a doofus. Always saying stupid things, not cool at all... So not exactly boring."

[Carden Willhol]

"It probably has, but it's not exactlythe right way to go about things. Permission and all that is appropriate." Or at least that's what he had been taught.

"Sounds like he needs to calm down a bit, maybe stop telling lame jokes? If you want to know more of the reason though, have him take you out sometime. You'll learn more by doing then by speculating."

[Varina Ordo]

"Doesn't seem very conducive for a long-term relationship," Varina agreed. Now she was wondering how her parents had even gotten married in the first place. Had there been some sort of coercive element to it?

"Ew, me go out with him? He's so lame... but I guess you have a point."

[Carden Willhol]

"Only so much I can say as I don't knoiw the guy." Carden replied with a smirk as they made their way to seats in the resturant.

"Well I suppose that's not exactly true. I could say a lot of thigns but it'd be more opinion then fact."

"I'm sure you'll meet him at some point. He gets around." The innuendo was definitely not intended...

"Anyways, are you actually from around here or are you wandering around like me?"

[Carden Willhol]

"I wander. Mostly to find new work, not that I couldn't find permanent work somewhere."

"But the galaxy is huge, why just stay in one place?"

[Varina Ordo]

"Oh cool. I like to wander around too." Varina looked him over in a totally-not checking-him-out kind of way. "Do you hunt then? If you don't, I can always teach you. I'm the best there is out of my friend group."

[Carden Willhol]

"Kind of? I more hunt out things to take pictures of. Sometimes rare animals and the like." He smirked. "If you're willing to teach though, maybe I'll take you up on that sometime."
