A little song and dance [ME, The Cave]

"Imperials are not great tippers, but yeah, they're also most of the ones with money to spend in a place like that." She glances at both of them, before holding out Manny's socks for him to retrieve, "but I don't think I'm sharing my Imperials are jerks stories right now. Besides, pretty much anyone with that kind of power is going to be a jerk, as far as I can tell."

Picking up the _other_ conversational angle, she slips out a small datapad and begins scrolling through the local network links. "They should have a schedul up or something, right? See games are up...say...tomorrow night?" No sense letting someone talk sense into the man. Not that there really seemed to be a lot of danger of that.

My brain is currently boggling at how sportsball games are aired in a galaxy, given the confusion that already exists with mere time zones on one world.

[Manny Donos]

With a flourish, Manny tucked the socks away; it seemed like he couldn't put anything into or take anything out of his vest without giving it a bit of a flourish. "Huh... maybe..." Manny frowned as he considered that. "I used to want to be a big time crime boss... but then I realized something. Crime bosses are mean!"

"Uh..." Manny scratched awkwardly at the side of his head, mussing his hair a bit. It was already half-mussed. "Maybe? I'm just so used to watching on Kamda, where you just turn it on, and boom!" He made a frame with his hands. "There's Antilles probably scoring on the other team!" Rolant Antilles being the Manka Cats star player, of course.

"So... tomorrow night, huh?" Manny waggled his eyebrows at the two of them. "I'm in if you are!"

[Sholua Tempes]

The merest slight narrowing of the eyes at mention of wanting to be a crime boss. Maybe she'd not assume he was a total idiot then and might have something to back up that statement. Still if he had a ship, he had done some things right in life.

"More likely to be local teams playing or some big time games from the Core. Imperials don't waste much bandwidth on the Holonet to sports, but they do waste some."

By which time she was all smiles again.

"Tomorrow night sounds great . . . maybe a few less eggs though."

Delh nods. "You really don't want to have one break there. Tacky." Delh notes the wish to be a crime boss, but is actually kind of relieved at the reason that didn't pan out.

She eyeballs the pile of credits, puts a few more into the cup of cleaned ones and shoves it across the table. "Been here enough to guess that the extra good tips are on account of you. I should learn some dance moves to add in. Even if that costume's only going to do me favors with a certain crowd." She nods at Solua's triangle and string.

[Sholua Tempes]

"It's what they want to see."

She gestures around the room before collecting up her share of the tips.

"Does help that this place has the 'no touch' rule. Not all clubs do, and then you need to be able to apply the right pressure to any limbs that do touch. Then there's the absolute dives that you'd only go in if absolutely desperate, Honey. Those places I don't go near, well unless one of my other jobs takes me there."

Manny's hands weren't especially close to either of them, but he still pulled them back with an awkward chuckle.

"So... the two of you work together often? I like doing mixed acts. My..." he tilted his head a moment, considering, "-my Leah used to be a dancer, and she brings a lot of that to our act. It's really cool!" His eyes lit up as ideas began to spark somewhere in his brain. "Maybe we could make it even bigger! If we add your music, and your spinning... we just need the right kind of music..." He looked at Shoula. "And have you ever thought about adding fire to your spinning?"

Dhel shakes her head. "First time working together, just seen Sholua here and there. Like she says, there's other places to perform, and folks like variety, so everyone moves around a little." She grimaces at the description of the places with laxer rules. "Yeaaah. It works so much better when I'm the one deciding who to touch."

With a grin at Manny, she adds, 'sorry...shoulda asked before checking out your eggs." She doesn't sound all that sorry.

The mention of fire in a show makes her wince a little. "Need to talk the owner into that first," she tips her head back toward the bar. "it's their place getting torched if that goes wrong. But...they let folks brawl in here, and there's weapons and all, so maybe they've got good enough insurance not to mind?"

[Manny Donos]

Manny shook his head. "I don't mind. It happens all the time. I guess when you keep pulling eggs out of your vest, people get curious."

He nodded. "Yeah, okay. It's just, hey, fire is awesome." He held out one hand. "Spinning is awesome." He put the other hand out, then put them together, linking the fingers. "Put them together, and it's even more awesome, right?"

[Sholua Tempes]

"Fire?"

She gave him an appraising stare.

"I've seen some Twi'Lek acrobats who danced with fire sticks and even ate the fire, but I'm not sure how we can get that into a pole routine, Cutey. Don't know if you were looking at my hands but I pretty much needed them for most of the rotations."

[Manny Donos]

Manny glanced at her hands, and then at not her hands, and then away, blushing a little. "Yeah... that's a good point." He said, chuckling.

Embarrassment with Manny was always measured in seconds at most. His gaze returned, grinning again. "Anyway, yeah, I'd love to do a show with the two of you sometime. Even just one other person means you can do a lot more illusions. And then, if you're doing something that takes some setup, you've gotta have someone else doing something, or everyone gets bored. The two of you do a quick song..." Manny nodded.

He looked back and forth between them. "Or... I could open for you guys! A little magic, a joke or two? 'I just flew in from Corlando, and boy are my arms tired', that sort of thing."

Dhel looks both skeptical and appraising. If he worked the fumbling into a stage schtick, it could work ok, she supposed. Though she shakes her had. "Just...don't use that one if you don't want folks throwing eggs _at_ you. But...well, worth a try. I'll try most anything once, at least!"

"Like...do a bit, then a song or dance," there's a nod toward Sholua, "on the side, then another bit? There's some family variety acts around that do ok. So might work..."

[Sholua Tempes]

"I've done worse. I did worse last week. Sure why not give things a go. Us performers have to stick together right?"

She piled up the credits, a lack of pockets being one of the drawbacks of wearing so little.

[Manny Donos]

"Yeah, exactly!" Manny grinned. "Then we'll be a real crew!"

He nodded to Dhel. "Yeah, sometimes people throw things at me. I just catch 'em and juggle 'em. Of course, then they throw more things. I can juggle a lot, but sometimes it gets crazy. One of those, whatsitcalled, occupational hazards."

Dhel lifts an eyebrow at the casual acceptance of juggling heckler-tossed objects, which speaks to both skill...and how often people throw things. "That sounds entertaining, at least, happy to throw things from the audience to keep the show interesting!"

After a moment..."hmm...crew? That ship you mentioned have space for crew? Bunk...reasonably soft floors?" Normally she'd wait a bit longer before hunting up a new place to crash, but somehow Cayle and da were just way more depressing after a whole month away.

[Sholua Tempes]

"Yeah, just what kind of ship are you packing, Cutey?"

An innocent enough question, but she didn't say it in anything approaching an innocent manner.

[Manny Donos]

Manny shrugged. "The floors are regular soft, I'd say." He spoke with the confidence of someone who'd spent some time on them. "And yeah! It's got a room for me, a room for Leah and her Boyfriend..." He chewed his lip a moment, "-and then two rooms besides that."

The briefest of hesitation at Sholua's question, and then he grinned at her. "Oh, you know. Just your average Hawk One-Thousand. No big deal." He shrugged, but his grin didn't fade; he was clearly proud of his ship.

"Oh man...that's so much space...Who's Leah? Do she or her boy snore? I mean....just so I know if I should pick up some earplugs." There's not so much a question there now as an assumption that she'd need to worry about dealing with that snoring. Dhel's found that so many people are far more likely to just go with things that they kind of maybe are ok with if you just assume it's a done deal and skip the asking part.

[Manny Donos]

"Leah's my assistant... sorta. She's her own thing, too. She dances, like you!" He nodded at Sholua. "Except not as much spinning. And her boyfriend is a shark. Like, a person-shark, but still!"

Manny picked up his mug, peering into it a moment before looking back at Dhel. "Wait, what?"

[Sholua Tempes]

Sholua swept in for more distraction.

"A Hawk? Sturdy little ships. Do you have her set up for cargo or passengers?"

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

Dhel grins and shrugs. "If we're a crew performing together, and ships have a crew and all, and there's space, and I'm pretty small." She leans closer, eyes wide and grin teasing, placing one hand on his thigh for balance. More distraction is always good. "It just makes sense, right?"

She finishes her own drink. "I'll grab earplugs, just in case. I don't snore."
