Dol-ing out some grub (D1 ME)

[Lassa Tenro]

Lassa found herself in the bakery that evening... trying to get her fill up before the work that would start on the morrow. She had a soup bread-bowl put down in front of her by the kind baker who she thanked as she began to consume her meal.

[Qar Offee]

Mmm, high-carb food. Qar stopped the bike, somewhat loudly, having noticed the illuminated sign. Still open. Off for the rolls! His curiosity over the shape of belliodoughnuts would soon be met.

There was also this Pantoran from the ferry. Seeing her there didn't exactly made them friends, but basic etiquette won.

"Hey there. Is that good?"

[Lassa Tenro]

She nodded, “It’s pretty good. Hearty after a day of moving.”

[Qar Offee]

"You carry your suitcases yourself? No bellboys or belldroids out there to help you?" He raised his brow.

[Lassa Tenro]

She smirked and shook her head, “Just little old me. Not important enough to get an assistant. I’m the type who is the assistant for the important people.”

[Qar Offee]

"Commandeer some random guy next time. He'd do that for a 'thank you' and a smile." He glanced at the other seat. "Waiting for someone? It's okay for me to sit here?"

[Lassa Tenro]

She shook her head in a welcoming manner, “No, go ahead.”

She paused before she seemed to remember something, “Ah, you were the man singing on the ship. You had a nice voice.”

[Qar Offee]

He sat and looked at his bellidoughnut on the tray. It was rather big, with star-shaped hole. But he started with a drip of blue slushie.

"Tell me another compliment like that and I just might start singing for you. Which would be awkward for those other late snackers." He chuckled. "But hey, if I ever stop racing, good to know there's another career waiting for me."

He looked up. "While you, I think you have a nice name. Not sure what it is just yet, but I bet it's really nice."

[Lassa Tenro]

She smirked, “The normal etiquette for the exchanging of names is to provide your own name first.”

She tilted her head, “Or am I to assume that you must be famous enough of a racer that I should already know your name?”

[Qar Offee]

"Shame on you that you have never heard of the grand me, the one and only Qar!" He pretended grandeur for comical effect. But then he smirked, and titled his head to look at her from the angle of inquisitiveness. "So, you're into racing? Office lady by day, queen of speed by night?"

[Lassa Tenro]

She tilted her head slightly, “Not particularly. But it seems a decent enough sport for those who are interested in such things... What got you into racing?”

[Qar Offee]

"Talent and the need for quick money. Got addicted to the adrenaline rush pretty fast too. What go you into office life?"

[Lassa Tenro]

“Same type of reasons as you. Got addicted to the adrenaline rush.” She said with a smile.

“Got to make a living somehow.”

[Qar Offee]

"I can't picture excitement in the office to be frank. They'd probably need a full tv show on that to convince me." He slurped the slushie and leaned back. "So what does the rush come from? Drifting by deadlines? Vaulting over red tape? Daring escapes from CEO wrath?"

[Lassa Tenro]

"All that and so much more." She replied jovially.

"You new to Bellionas, or coming back from somewhere?"

[Qar Offee]

"I'm green around here." He replied with a purposefully serious expression. "You?"

[Lassa Tenro]

“Me too. Didn’t think it was going to be this hot...”

She looked outside, “That sun looks like it’ll turn me green with enough time.”

[Qar Offee]

"Is it how Pantorans tan? Damn, I've never thought about that, but it makes total sense!" He laughed. "Me, I'll just probably get more olive. Dehydration is a real thing though, I went out biking into the outback around midday. If not for the environmental suit I'd have returned dry as a bone. Or just bone, without the returning part. It's no joke."

He looked at her. "You know, perhaps you need a fancy wide-brimmed hat for scooting between places here in the city, when shade is in some supply. Something classy for a classy office lady."

[Lassa Tenro]

“Whatever shall I do without my wide-brimmed hat?” She asked in the voice of a vain noblewoman.

[Qar Offee]

He laughed. "That, or a toady with a parasol."
